Hi gang! I could use little pixie dust tonight :

Came in this morning and found out that a co-worker's 35 year old wife didn't wake up yesterday morning, leaving behind her husband, a 7 year old and 3 year old twins...:
Then the news about Paige who, even though I've never met her, I feel like I know. I've been thinking her all day and send her hugs and prayers!
For the end of a perfect day: I just got home from the Dr. where I was diagnosed with a kidney infection so severe and sudden, the Dr. thought I had a kidney stone, which I don't, THANK GOD!!! sorry for the run-on sentence Mimi! I've never had an infection like this before so I was really wigged out that I wouldn't be able to go to CT for Thanksgiving, but it all worked out. just 7 days of antibiotics and several gallons of water & cranberry juice :

Hi everyone. Thanks for all the well wishes. I am having surgery tomorrow, Tuesday, around 11 am. I am confident that this will go smoothly. The doc says the tumor (about 3cm X 4cm) is benign, probably. They usually are. It is called meningioma. The prayers are most welcome, and, no, I shouldn't have to shave my head. The doc says he'll just shave where he needs to make the incision (kinda big I think though).

I had a seizure Saturday morning, went to the ER, and the next thing I know, here I am. I am hoping that this tumor has been the culprit of my headaches that I've had for a year now.

On a positive note--Kristin, you make a beautiful bride. That smile is awesome!!!

I'll be sure to pass along my progress, at least through Nancy or another Bober whose email address I have, then they can post for me. I'll be laid up in the hospital for a few days.

Good morning All! To my friends in England - I watched the Travel Channel's Top Ten Castles and Palaces in Britain yesterday, and I have to find a way to return! There simply is way too much I have not seen. It was breathtaking.

Paige and family - Prayers are being said for all of you and the surgical team.

Kathy - I hope you are feeling better and that your co-worker is able to move smoothly through the next things that must be done.

Kathy, I hope you feel better too. Those kidney infections can be a real pain. I have only kidney now because when I was 6 years old (a long, long, long, long time ago ) and living in Germany no one did anything about my illness. They let me go for weeks and weeks and as a result I lost the function of it. Thankfully, nowadays, things are so much better and treatments work so much quicker. Take care dear.

You're more than welcome for the get well hugs! And I hope you didn't think I meant that you were being whiny, 'cause I didn't. Kidney infections are a real bummer ... I'd be complaining for sure if I had another one of those. Just take care of yourself.

I am feeling better today. I finally fell asleep (with Mr. Water Bottle, my best buddy )sometime after midnight and managed to sleep for about 5 uninterrupted hours before 'nature called'. The pain in my lower back is much better this morning. So things are moving in the right direction. I already called in sick, so it's me and the kitties on the couch today!

I am feeling better today. I finally fell asleep (with Mr. Water Bottle, my best buddy )sometime after midnight and managed to sleep for about 5 uninterrupted hours before 'nature called'.
