Old fashion tradition, now passe - It was considered gauche to wear white, a summer color, after Labor Day - the official end of summer. You only wore white between Easter Sunday and Labor Day. Many still refer to the color Winter White - which is a little more toward beige than white for htis very reason.

Thank you so much. You don't know how many times I have asked this question and no one has been able to answer me?

Don't you have sales after Thanksgiving?

Yes, lots of them but we also have some really great deals before Thanksgiving too. The gifts I bought already were just Gift Cards (the recipents choice of the holiday) and the 5th season of Dick Van **** from eBay for my brother.

On Black Friday I usually have only the kids left to do. :)

Chips are fatter fries. The only thing we call fries over here is the skinny McDonalds type. Chips to you are crisps to us.

I dont normally have the tree etc up this early, but being as we leave on the 18th for WDW I wanted to make the most of it.:goodvibes

And, of course, our crisps are your chips!;)

OMG...I just noticed that the DIS bleeped out the last name of the actor. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Hi Guys.....

Sorry I haven't been on much the past few days, there has just been too much going on behind the scenes (extended family issues) that I can't get into here and most of my time has been dealing with that. :headache:

OK, now for the reason of this post. I arrived home a short while ago after picking Angelina up from her Holiday meeting at work. Angelina was given 5 25% Disney Store coupons that can be handed out to friends and family. These discount cards can only be used at Disney Store Retail locations in North America and can only be used from 12/5/08 to 12/7/08. These coupon cards can be used for your entire purchase. There are a few restrictions on the back of the card...10% discount applies to CDs, DVDs, BluRay, video games and videos.

I will send these out on a first come, first serve basis. If anyone is interested, please send me a PM with your address and Magical Shopping!!! :santa:

Oh Andy...that is so thoughtful of you and Lina. If only we were travelling to the US, I would have PM'ed you for sure.

Do they not have pre-lit trees over there?:confused3 I have 2 and love them, just set them up, fluff them out and plug them in.

Yep, we have one of these for the front porch, but we have a traditional one in doors.

Suz goes out early in the morning too. Unless there are two stores that open at the same time and we need what each has, I don't go.

I won't go near Wal-Mart or Best Buy on that morning. Those stores are nuts and there usually is a line outside well before the store opens. No sale is that good that I'd fight that crowd.

Most of the things we need are on sale prior or don't go on sale.

Hershey was adopted from the pound. We are not really sure what he is. THe vet says he definitely a chocolate lab mix with a majority of chocolate lab, bue we don't know. He is just a big bundle of love - a very sweet old fellow.

He sure is a cutey :cutie: She must miss him like crazy :sad1:

I've always wanted a sister Kathy. I'll take you in a heartbeat!!:cheer2:

Ah shucks, Nancy  You got it!

He destroyed a neighbors parcel that Fed-Ex delivered once that had food in it. Maybe he keeps thinking every box will contain some kind of food. BTW...that's the night a whole new definition of FO came into place. My neighbor was none too happy about the mishap no matter how much I apologized to her. Before I was out of ear shot she called me a very nasty name which I called her out on. I told everyone on the thread what Cabo did and the story behind the neighbor and snagged my Fresh One at the same time but shortened it to FO. Some thought FO meant something totally different then. :rotfl2:

Shame about the neighbor - some people get upset over the stupidest stuff. And thanks for the history lesson

Hey Karen , you have the best place Cadbury World, Lori and family love that chocolate.

Wait a minute, you mean there is a WORLD full of CADBURY chocolate???? How could I go through this much of my life not knowing about this??? Exactly where is this magical place and how long does it take to get there from NJ??? :yay:

Well we will be calling on you then.:thumbsup2 Warwick castle looks good, have you been?
I've never been to warwick or stratford so better get researching them.

I've been to Warwick, but not for a few years. It is quite magnificent:thumbsup2

I'd go for it, but there are no Disney stroes here in Milwaukee anymore (at least I think - not sure about Southridge).

You can tour it similar to Hershey tours. They give out free chocolate:thumbsup2 ... and pots of liquid chocolate... and then you can buy more choclate in the gift shop;) :rotfl2:

Nancy, I think Chinooks are the only reason I still live in Calgary ::yes:: It's a nice warm wind over the mountains :lovestruc

We could have -20 ºC one day and then a Chinook comes in and it's +10 the next week :goodvibes I've been out in shorts in December, January and February before when it's Chinooking :woohoo:

Here's some pics of a Chinook cloud over the city:thumbsup2
