while on the treadmill, i just finished watching our video from our trip.:wizard:
that robin really is a lot of fun.:lovestruc
i hope she keeps me around for a while.:worship:

Taking a day off - or almost taking a day off these boards - gives a person a great deal to catch up on. Whew! I am finally done. Let me get my notes to go with my mulit-quotes and catch up some more....

I feel like I need to post more! I didn't know that I was on the MIA list :)

I just got home from work. Now watching Lipstick Jungle on DVR. I love that little machine.

Here is the background on Amanda and I
(for those of you who don't know us):

  • We are sisters but not twins. Amanda is 16 months older than me.
  • We live together with our 3 dogs (2 beagles and 1 Min Pin/JRT mix) and 3 cats.
  • I work for Best Buy and Manda works for a podiatrist.
  • We love Disney and all the things that go with it. We've got tix for Lion King in March. Have been DVC members since 02.
  • We have two brothers, 2 nephews and 2 nieces. We live eight houses from our parents. Very close to our family.
  • This will be our 7th DCL vacation.
I think that's it for now

Annette :)

And what she didn't tell you is that these ladies are two of the funniest women you will ever meet. We thoroughly enjoyed their company on the SSMC 08 and can't wait to sail with them again. Please post more often, Gals!

I think it's a great idea to do it early. Christmas Day gets so busy. As our kids & their families get older they don't want to try to fit it all in in one day. One kid says they aren't going to the family thing at my parents this year which is going to cause major hard feelings. I'd rather do it another day with everyone instead of Christmas Day without everyone. Well enough of that!

N

It does get harder as they get older. Mack and I were reflecting a lot yesterday (a good thing to do on one's anniversary) and we commented on how precious this time is with our kids since all too soon they will be off on their own, with their own families, and who knows how often we will see them. At least we are not taking it for granted.

Awwww, that was sweet Kathy.

I'm ok, just a little crazy busy these days.

Last night my little bride was in an accident. She was rear ended on her way home from work. She drives a 2008 Scion and so did the lady who hit her. She's ok, they both are, just some more scary poo to add to my plate.

I am glad she is okay. Definitely not what you need added to wedding stress.

Okay - from my notes I made as I read -

Congrats Heather on your 5000th post!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Chris - the pictures are wonderful! Your kiddos are so cute.

Cass - Kira was adorable as Princess Aurora! The mirror picture really is a great picture. From a composition standpoint, it is stellar. Are you a digital scrapbooker or old fashioned paper and book scrapbooker? The page you posted is beautiful! You have a good eye for combinations, layout, and total look.

As Joanne confirmed, Annette was in the pink hat and Amanda in the black.

Andy - Congrats on the weight loss and doctor report! Mack lost 65 pounds and was taken off his blood pressure medicine. Since he has gained some of it back, it is a little elevated, so he is inspired to lose again and avoid meds.

Kathy - I had fun with that KKer picture too. I found several, I think and look so forward to meeting you all in person! For now, I am trying to put faces and names together. I find having real names in people's posts along with their screen names helps me tremendously.

Karen - You mentioned your husband came home to a new lounge and bedroom (I think it was) after being gone. I took a friend of mine to the beach for a few days one summer. When I came home my sweet husband had repainted our master bathroom in Tigger's Tummy yellow and arranged for the tile guy to come put downt he floor. We had remodeled the master bath (ripped out the garden tub, corner shower, and put in a custom large shower with a bencha nd such) but had never finished painting and putting in the new floor. It was a wonderful surprise to find when I arrived home.

Okay - all caught up and ready to read and post on today! This board is a full-time job! Mack is off ro ref today for the 3rd round of rec. league playoffs. I am working on the creation of a project for one of my English classes and catching up on laundry. We had a nice dinner out last night, and I had 2 frozen peach bellinis - what a wonderful reminder of the cruise!!!!

We are definitely going. The information came from me not Annette.

yep.:thumbsup2 got a "free window" last year.:woohoo: :woohoo:

if memory serves me though, we were beaten out by a lovely canadian lady
for an upgrade on the 2005 cruise.:cutie: :cutie:

I know!! I remember the whole thing!!! ::yes::

Thanks Mimi, you're too sweet :flower3: I started with traditional SBing and then found digital a couple of years ago and haven't been able to go back to the old way since :rolleyes1 I still have all my stuff and dabble in it every once in awhile (like for DIS tag last year!) but mostly I do digital now.

Although I have been really lazy with it and I am still working on Kira's first year album. I was doing well until our server crashed (along with our backup server!) and I lost ALL of my work :scared1:   (about 70 hours+)

We are still waiting to get back some of our files from a recovery company and I think they were able to get the whole album back and then once I get that back I will be able to finish it. :thumbsup2 I have them all on photobucket but they are only small files, not for printing.

Chris, great pics by the way :goodvibes Have fun at the waterpark!!! :woohoo:

i'm still posting away on thread #13.
i'm up to page 15 and i have a fo on every page.:rolleyes1 :woohoo:

Wow! - thats so sweet of him.
Remind me to get your hubby to give Neil a few lessons:rolleyes: your hubby could also drop a few big hints to Neil that I want new bedroom furniture too:rotfl: )

Oh my stars! That is my biggest fear with digital scrapbooking - even just keeping my photos on the computer. If I lost my photos, I'd be miserable. I had an accident in 1984 and lost my memory for a while - still some things I find out I didn't remember and just didn't know I didn't remember them. Since then, my photos havebecome very important to me.

Oooooo, I'll mention it, but really I would rather the men on the cruise not have a reason to hate him. When it comes to doing things women appreciate, he is the kind of man women wish they had and men love to hate. No reason to add any fuel to their fires. :headache: However, I bet there are ways you could convince him new bedroom furniture would be in his best interest too. :woohoo:

I've just been trying to catch up.....

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: to Sistah Nancy G and Beautiful Smile Kristen.

It was a total fluke. Even with everything lost, we still only lost 2 months worth of stuff. Everything else is backed up and we have back ups of those! It was just some bad luck that our backup server crashed, we were waiting for a patch for it and the day it crashed, the patch was released :sad2:

Trust me, I would go ballistic if I lost all my photos!!!!! I am a huge photo person so I make sure that it doesn't happen. ::yes::

It's one of the reasons why we bought blu-ray drives, blu-rays hold a lot more photos than DVD's ;)

Wow, that's scary about your memory loss. Sorry to hear that happened to you

Good morning all,

Nancy - Gald your daughter is ok. That is the worst phone call-Mom I've been in an accident.

Chris- great pictures. Amazing how close Christmas is. I went to church this am to help with the kids choir for Christmas and then went to a craft fair. It's 75 degrees and we are signing Christmas music. The little girls were so cute. We didn't have any boys show up....

Nancy - Gald your daughter is ok. That is the worst phone call-Mom I've been in an accident.

Oh it is, isn't it??????!!!!!!!! When both my kids started driving, I would unknowingly hold my shoulders in my ears, basically, every time the phone rang. Of course, it was after I let my guard down that we ever got one of those calls. The worst one I can think of was on a daily call after work to my hubby. I asked if it was a bad time when he picked up - didn't want to interrupt. His answer, "Yes, Olivia's (our dd) been in a 3-car wreck. I'll call you back." Ugh!

Hey Mimi

Besides the Frozen Bellinis, how was your anniversary???

We missed you on cruise chat last night - Mary didn't show up either. The nerve!

I've been thinking that maybe we should ask Cass (pretty please) for a variation on the BASH logo, since we member cruise people aren't really Konked Kruisers 2 (even though ALL of the Konked Kruisers have been SOOO great about welcoming us!!!). Maybe we could be 'BASH Crashers' or 'I Crashed the BASH!' What doe you guys think?

Is Mary okay? That is not like her not to show up for cruise chat. I will have to pop over to the SSMC 09 and make sure she is okay.

Anniversary was very sweet - lots of memories as we reviewed the years, lots of laughs too. We are continuing to celebrate tomorrow with a date to the movies - he picked a chick-flick he knew I wanted to see.

Giving some thought to a logo variation.

Was she OK? :scared1:

She was okay - but only by the grace of God. This was last spring. Both airbags deployed, the windshield and both front windows (which thank God were rolled down) all completely gone, her body removed all the interior moulding from between the front and back doors, and she ended up with a raise place on her leg in the shape of the seatbelt buckle mechanism - but given that she was t-boned by someone doing at least 45 mph, she was great! She totalled the car and we did not fix it, so she is without any wheels. She hates that but has found plenty of college boys that let her borrow their cars. These pictures were shortly after the wreck at prom. I don't know if you can tell from the pictures, but she is a toothpick. When we got to her, she was a little heap on the curb, but the little heap got up and walked to us.

Kathy, I am more than willing to make any variation of logos for you but please don't feel like guys are "crashing" this cruise or thread. This is the BOB cruise and you are a BOBer ::yes::

If you want, I can make a logo without the "Konked Kruisers 2" part on it :thumbsup2 or I can add something different like the Ixie sisters or pancake bunnies or whatever you like.

We are all BOBers  or BASHers if you prefer, right Mimi ;)

Amen! Nothing BOB about me - sorry... ex named Bob. I'm NOT with Bob. Cass was kind enough to make a Bash one for me.

Happy Saturday. The Dragons won last night. They are the district Champions and have a great shot at state. Thanks to Cassie I have learned how to add photos. This is how Tommy had the field painted. I now have to catch up on the posts. :surfweb:

Wow! She is gorgeous! That is some dress!!

LOL - She had to pay for that dress all on her own. We had already purchased enough dresses through the years to carry her through senior prom - dresses she had not worn, so we told her we weren't buying anymore. She saved, and she bought it. It was my favorite formal on her. My second favorite was another one she bought (after we had already paid for enough) and it looked fabulous on her too. I would love to spoil my kids, but I love them too much to spoil 'em rotten. She did a good job though and got the dress she wanted.
