I'll have a t shirt on, just maybe not a lime green DIS shirt.

Oh these next 11 months or so will be so fun!!!!

No need for green Chris - ours were white last year. Just a small logo on the front and Ellis and I had our names on the back (Neil didnt). I'm sure you can manage a white T with a small pocket logo

Someone was watching out for me yesterday.

I was reading our local newspaper earlier and saw one of the branches of our bank was robbed yesterday morning at 10:34am. I use this branch from time to time, but after I picked up my paycheck yesterday morning I used a different branch. I just checked my deposit slip and noticed my deposit was registered at 10:36am. I am so thankful I didn't go to the branch that was robbed, or that the robbers didn't rob the branch I was in.

From what I read, several customers were in the bank and they were all told to hit the floor by the two men who robbed the bank. Luckily, someone spotted the getaway car and gave the info to the police. The car was spotted by the police and a chase persued. The getaway car crashed near our mall(I'm happy Lina wasn't working yesterday), but the driver got away, the second man in the car was injured and couldn't get away, he is now in jail.

The identity of the man that got away is known, so I'm sure he will be captured soon, at least I hope so. All stolen money was recovered, as it was still in the car.

First of all - f.o.!

Oh no!!!!! I never meant to change the logo! I just meant in addition to. I wouldn't want to tick off anyone nor do I think what we have is inadequate. I just have a Duck-nut husband. If you wouldn't mind and have time to make something with Donald, that would be great, BUT we do have lots of time, and I am determined to take a photoshop class, so I might be able to make my own! Sorry to have ruffled any feathers with the request.

My feathers arent ruffled - I was just panicking I'd have to re-do 30 gifts

I remember briefly seeing something about trick or treating and candy and stuff while I tried to catch up the other day.

Maybe since most of us will be going to MNSSHP and other places on Halloween and getting lots of candy there anyway (and to save room on luggage too!) should we just forget about the trick or treating on the ship then?? Might make more sense if we did

Let me know your thoughts and if most of us agree then I will nix the idea and get rid of that page

We go straight home the day we get off anyway so there'd be no time to chomp lots of candy. I'm ok with cancelling

Good morning peeps

Its sunny here this morning (still freezing cold but sunny )

We did the first coat of the stairs and hallway yesterday - we also got to the gym ... this morning is the 2nd coat and then put everything back in place.
Doing it ourselves has saved us about $1400.

It all started on the SSMC08 when we were getting especially silly one night, a few weeks before our cruise. Mary (WDWLVR) was posting different variations on pirate smilies when her husband, Mark, posted 'how about a bunny with a pancake on his head?' (see my siggie line for the inspirational bunny). It's based on Oolong the Performance Bunny, who was an internet phenomenon a few years ago. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oolong_the_Rabbit

We all thought it was so cute that we decided to adopt it and tikimimi (Pixie), joannel (Dixie), WDWLVR (Mixie) and I (Trixie) became the 4 Pancake Sisters. During brunch at Palo's we convinced our waiter to bring us pancakes and we had our picture taken with the pancakes on our head. Probably by now, you're sorry you asked!

You do tell that story so well, Kathy! Left to right - Joanne, Mary, Mimi (tikimimi) and Kathy (njprincess). We did have a great time! Thanks Sean, for putting up with us!!

Have y'all ever had it fried? We are deep frying ours and our neighbors' turkeys this year. It's great.

I've heard of this, but never tried it. Don't you need some kind of special equipment? And can you still stuff the turkey?

Good morning everyone.

Its great to finally be to Friday! This afternoon we leave and travel about an hour away for our "Christmas Party" this evening. I know it seems weird to have one so early, but this is our busiest time of the year, so we have our party before the craziness really gets started.

Then tomorrow we can enjoy the indoor water park at the hotel for the day. It should be a great time. My kids have really been looking forward to it since we got the notice back in late summer.

I will probably DIS a bit as I have to take my work laptop to do some work on a grant that I will need to work on over the next week or so. I probably will take my camera as well if I ultimately remember it! I have a bad tendency to forget my camera.

Or you can use Jen's idea and add your favourite character to the shirt (if you are making one!) in addition to the BOB logo

Does anyone believe in cat "karma"? Our furnace stopped working (thank goodness it is still warm MI which is weird for us). My dad has spent the last 2 weekends working on it. Bought a new one. Installed it last week. Had to wait for the bonnet to be made. Fast forward to today: Dad came to light the furnace and it wouldn't light. He said he would be back to take care of it later tonight. One of our cats was in the cold air reigster! If he had gotten that thing to light....

I am baking cookies. Any tricks to make them chewy?? I took them right off the baking sheet and am having them cool in a dish. Perhaps that will keep them from getting too crunchy???

I am not much of a baker, but Elaine grabbed some cookie dough tonight and asked me to bake them while she went out to do a few things.

You need to grt one of those pampered chef stones. Never a crispy cookie. I bought each kid one when they went off to college.

Me too. I'm so glad we go out for Thanksgiving now so that I don't have to eat it. But I do like the stuffing...

IT's all the stuff that goes with the turkey that is the best, stuffing, sweet pototoes, mashed pototoes and of course dessert!!!!!

Making shirts??? You guys are creative. I was hoping there would be some we could buy

Its really easy. All you need is iron on transfer paper (got mine off ebay). Print the image, iron it on, voila! - a Bob T shirt!

No stuffing and yes you have to have a fryer. It's a big flame attached to a propane tank with a very large pot filled with very expensive peanut oil. But it is so good.......Come to see us and we will make you one. They fight over the skin here when it comes out.
