I know, the branch that was robbed is closer to our house, but the branch I used yesterday, is closer to work and only a block away from the police station. :)

I am so glad you were not there when it was robbed. I am glad fate stepped in to protect you.

Chris, great pics. I can't wait til our visit in 2010. When Sean and Cath came over this summer they brought us all kinds of literature so we could see some of the places we would be seeing. BEAUTIFUL!

She (Holly) wasn't in there very long. Maybe 30 minutes. I'm sure to her that was a long time.

My Nicky spent a whole night in the kitchen garbage can when he was a kitten!:rotfl: Must have jumped in from the table and then couldn't get out (Nicky is blessed with beauty, but not burdened with a brain :lmao: ) Of course, he finally made enough noise that someone heard him. But your kitty could have really gotten hurt. I'm so glad it turned out OK!

Andy, I'm so glad you went to the other bank. I can't imagine how scared all those people were.:scared1:

Great idea! That may be a great color for me. I have brown hair (at least for the moment) and brown eyes.

I was thinking the same thing... Maybe with some highlights in your hair.

Blessed with beauty but not burdened with a brain - I am going to have to remember that one - One size fits many. ;) :lmao: :rotfl2: Love it!

Someone was watching out for me yesterday. :goodvibes

I was reading our local newspaper earlier and saw one of the branches of our bank was robbed yesterday morning at 10:34am. I use this branch from time to time, but after I picked up my paycheck yesterday morning I used a different branch. I just checked my deposit slip and noticed my deposit was registered at 10:36am. I am so thankful I didn't go to the branch that was robbed, or that the robbers didn't rob the branch I was in.

From what I read, several customers were in the bank and they were all told to hit the floor by the two men who robbed the bank. Luckily, someone spotted the getaway car and gave the info to the police. The car was spotted by the police and a chase persued. The getaway car crashed near our mall(I'm happy Lina wasn't working yesterday), but the driver got away, the second man in the car was injured and couldn't get away, he is now in jail.

The identity of the man that got away is known, so I'm sure he will be captured soon, at least I hope so. All stolen money was recovered, as it was still in the car.

Thank goodness you deceided to go to the other branch. Play the lotto with that kind of luck :)

I am baking cookies. Any tricks to make them chewy?? I took them right off the baking sheet and am having them cool in a dish. Perhaps that will keep them from getting too crunchy???:confused3

I am not much of a baker, but Elaine grabbed some cookie dough tonight and asked me to bake them while she went out to do a few things.

I have a tip for you ... once the cookies have cooled down put a slice or two of bread in their storage container. In a couple of hours the cookies will have sucked the moisture out of the bread and presto yummo - soft, chewy cookies. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the tip Brenda! I will definitely try that.

That is what I was going to say! Good minds think alike :)

You can also use an apple slice, but I have found that is better with Oatmeal cookies, snickerdoodles, or other cookies with cinnamon because the apple tends to leave an apple flavor with the cookies. It's very good with oatmeal though!

These are perfectly wonderful! There is so much talent in this group!

I think I mentioned ToT recently, because I was concerned about bringing "food items" back into the country, so to speak.

I think it was a good idea, but with new luggage restrictions may not be the most practical idea. Whatever the majority decided is fine with me.

Heck, considering the way the last cruise went, I may not be able to get DS out of the club to go door to door anyway! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Ok, I am logging off for the night - just stopped by to post that clip art.

I could not sleep and have been up since 1 am, so I am going to try and catch a few extra zzzzz's.....
