We could all tour the WS together ... it would be a hoot! :thumbsup2

OK ... I'm really gone now.

Bye B!!!

Yes, our first priority is F&W, but we can only get there as early as Friday. So I don't know....I really don't want to be the designated driver. Maybe I could tell Rob some outrageous lie to get him to be the DD. "Babe, it's Sober Marine Day at Epcot, sorry.":rotfl:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Classic!!

Becky, I see your light is on. Are you back in Cali? If so, you must be uploading pictures...;)

Oh my goodness! She's too cute! Love the Kira antics. You MUST post more videos of her!

Kira's two new things are saying her name (Kia! :lmao: ) and "Oh sorry" which is soooo cute! She says it all the time even when someone ELSE is supposed to say it

We were getting groceries last week and this guy bumped into us trying to reach for the newspaper...Kira yells out loud "SORRY!!!" :lmao: :rotfl2:

So I was able to video tape it tonight, not the best video as she was a little spun after having some pudding after supper :rolleyes1

You need windows media to play it...sorry mac users :snooty:

...so true. But I have to say, we have had good bus service at POR both times that we stayed there. But, I got a rash on my legs both times, too. I'm either allergic to their detergent or they have bed bugs. It itched so much!

I was not impressed when we stayed in May. Wasn't as clean as the DVC resorts.

I know Bendy and Jay are staying in Orando. We are thinking about flying down a day or two early to enjoy some F&W time but are still up in the air about heading to the prt on Friday or not.

We are going to drive down Friday and stay at the port.

F & W was fun but it gets expensive.

Yep, I know how much the tix to get into Epcot will be, but I am starting to wonder about the food at the booths.

Where can I get some info on that? I know Brenda has info.....anywhere on the DIS?

This will be our 4th SSR stay and it's a really nice resort. We hope to take advantage of more of the resort amenities this time and just relax a little bit more. I'll be doing a TR (see my signature) so be sure to check it out!

You guys will have to let me know what you think of it. We're scheduled to be there next summer--June.:goodvibes

We are REALLY impatient when it comes to buses and on top of that having all the kid's crap to lug on and off. So we usually have a car and drive everywhere. If it were just the two of us I'd be ok with using the buses, especially at a spread out resort like this.

This is our home resort and we usually end up here 2 out of the 4 trips we take yearly. I really love the resort itself. Lots of pathways to run on and it is so beautiful in the mornings. We usually stay in the Paddocks. Used to be the first bus stop. Now it's the second which is ok by me. We have requested the Grandstand section this time but like you said, we have never been granted our request!

I have to say though that the bus service kinda sucks here. I think it comes down to the fact that the resort is so big and you have so many people for so few buses. According to a friend of mine who works for transportation the buses hit the property in intervals of 20-30 min. But if you are at the last stop (The Springs) the bus could take upwards of 40 min to reach you and could be full by the time it gets there. This has been an ongoing complaint by many guests but with Disney cutting back due to fuel costs and such I don't see it getting better any time soon.

We often ponder how strange it'll be to stay in one place for more than 3 years......

Let me know when you find out, okay?!;)

I was an "Air Force Brat" and attended about 10 different schools growing up. Even though Matthew and I were in California for over 10 years, we lived in 4 different apartments and the condo we finally bought. We've now been here 7 years. We both think we're staying for awhile...although Matthew wants to move to South Carolina when we retire... so still no final house!:lmao:

Karen loved the pics. My DS Jay would absolutely love Legoland, and I would probably love it as much as him.

He has the Star Wars Legos games for his PS2 and they are just great. When you "kill" the bad guys, the legos just break apart and there are certain things you have to build. The bald guys also have no hair attached so they have that "lego knob" on their heads exposed. I noticed you had a picture of him with Lego Indy. We are waiting to get the Indy lego game until we determine if we are finally going to get a Wii.

Thanks for sharing! Prayers for your dad.

Get the Wii... and Indy! All 4 of us can play together on many games for the Wii. We just got the Wii Fit...awesome! I just used if for 30 minutes and feel like I got a major workout! (Granted, I'm a couch potato, so anything feels like a workout!;) )

The Indy game is great. Megan liked it better than the Star Wars Legs game. That one was hard because you frequently had to use vehicles rather than just people. Megan ...with help from Sarah and me... finished the Indiana Jones game. It was really a lot of fun! (Ooops!!! I forgot that one we have on the PS3, not the Wii. But we have Star Wars for the old Nintendo Game Cube and the Wii.)

Heather, take some time and relax! You must be exhausted girl!!! I was hintin to Jeff and Chris ;)

Star Wars geeks unite!! :thumbsup2 :lmao:

Rob is a TRUE Star Wars geek....he's a member of the 501st, a Star Wars costuming club. They dress up and attend charity events, mostly for kids.

Here he is selling Girl Guide cookies ;)

He's the Clone Trooper :goodvibes

You don't know the power of these cookies! :lmao:

That would be great for my girls when they sell their Girl Scout cookie! I can just see Darth Vadar standing in front of the grocery store asking: "Do you want some cookies? You don't know the power of these cookies!" LOVE IT!:goodvibes :rotfl:

O.K., now what do I do?

Suz, and I (I deleted mine because it was from Disney Destinations), got an email with a PIN for Free Dining at WDW. The available dates are 9/28-10/11 (covers our anniversary), 11/9-11/22 and 12/14-12/20.

I'm thinking if I make one of them work, I think I'd opt for a weekend that MVMCP is running.

The offer says we can stay in a Value (std) for 4 nights, 5 days for $63 per person per day based on 2A, 1Jr, 1C. I figure it would be about $985 for the three of us, but wonder if I could do the "one-day single park ticket" option with it. We have several days left on our tickets and would also be doing MVMCP on another day.

So, WHAT DO I DO?

Tough call!

Hi everyone! We're new -- just booked today.

This will be our 2nd Disney cruise. Last time we were a cat 11 and I booked cat 12 this time -- although now I'm getting a little worried because it's a guarantee room and I don't want to be on a noisy "end" of a row room. I've been reading online about one room in particular (farthest from front on left) that has a service elevator that is noisy next door.

I wonder if I called them if they'd honor at least that? I mean we're far enough out you know? There's only like 12 of these cat 12 rooms -- I can't believe they didn't sell out yet?

Anyway, hi everyone! I'm stressing about this room thing and it's over a year away... I need to resolve this soon! :lmao:

:wizard: princess:

Hi Jules! I'm playing catch up on reading the thread today. Welcome to the cruise. My husband Matthew (EPCOT_VA) started her in May/June after our last cruise. He got on just to see if anyone had started a thread yet! Well, of course it was: in DECEMBER!!

Many of these wonderful people have cruised together previously. They like to chat... a lot!:) But then, so do I...so I fit right in!

Matthew and I will be sailing with our 2 daughters Megan and Sarah who will celebrate their birthday on board...turning 12 and 10)

Wow new BOBers being added. This should really be fun!

Welcome! I am Chris, although I think I should go by my full name of Christian since there are a couple of Chris' on the sailing.

This will be our 3rd cruise, and our 2nd cruise with Disney. In our travelling party are my wife Elaine, DD Samantha 9, and DS Jay 7.

Welcome aboard!:thumbsup2

Maybe we can just call you "Captain"??;)

Good morning everyone.
I'll have to backtrack a bit here when I have a chance....sounds like there is a new Kira video posted!!!!! :) Can't wait to see it.

Today is Amelia's first day of school but right now we're getting some WILD severe thunder storms. YIKES! My poor MeiMei is a nervous wreck here next to me.

Good luck Amelia!!!!!!! :cool1: :teacher:

So cute!! :cutie: I love that Goofy just lays there like he couldn't be bothered. :rotfl:

You should see what she does to Goofy :lmao: She sits on him, rides him...pulls his whiskers LOL! He had a hard time adjusting at first but now he's SO good to her!! He just lays there and takes it  She just LOVES him!!! For awhile there she couldn't say Goof, so every morning she came downstairs and yelled HI GOOSE!!!!! :rotfl2: It's going to be hard when he's gone...he is 10 years old today!!

Oh my goodness! She's too cute! Love the Kira antics. You MUST post more videos of her!

Hmmm, only if you post more of your two babes :lovestruc

Mel, since you've been there so many times, you probably know the proper way of driving to the parks from SSR. For the first couple of days, we just followed the signs but then realized that is was taking us the LONG way around. Finally we got smart and took a left out of the resort instead of a right! Saved us a good 10 minutes every morning!! :thumbsup2
