Last night Alton Brown had a special on the Food Channel named “Riding on Waves” that features foods of the Caribbean. Last night it was St Kitts and another island I can’t remember right now. Anyway, next Sunday night he will be in St Martin. It’s at 9:00 pm CST on the Food Channel again. Might be something fun for us all to watch. Maybe he’ll be featuring the Guavaberry Emporium or a little sumpin, sumpin about those fabulous Rum cakes I smuggled on board in 05. (Still floors me that Jen could bring back a rum cake from Grand Cayman last year and Janice and I were denied even buying one).???

Good afternoon everyone! I was in meetings all day and just got to the computer. It took me a few minutes to get caught up.

Well, I have no vacations to tell you about but I do have some buttons to show y'all with a great story behind it.

When WDW celebrated it's 25th birthday we were at the Magic Kingdom and our family was chosen to represent the year 1973. 1973 was the first year I visited WDW. We all got buttons to wear depicting the year of our first visit. Kristin was 1986 (she was 2) and Tony and Chuck in 1982 (Tony was 2).

They lined all the families up in Cindy's castle and then announced our names and the year. We ran out of the castle on that big stage holding a huge 1973 sign!

Since I didn't trust anyone with my new $300.00 35mm camera, there are no pics. But here is a picture of our pins.

we have a wdw parking lot pass that listed the price as $1.00.

Ok, is anyone else tempted by the possible transatlantic crossings or baltic sea cruises for 2010?

We would most definitely plan to go. We used DVC points for one adult and one child on the Med cruise. We'd probably try to use points again for half.

As much as I wish we could, we aren't going to WDW anytime soon. Maybe 2010 after the BOB cruise.

Well considering almost half the BOB is in WI (o.k., maybe not half) and the Packers are on Monday Night Football, my answer would be no.

Why couldn't you buy the tortuga rum cakes? We bought some in Key West in 2004 and brought them back on board with no trouble at all.
