Do they do one day car rental?:confused3 - the site I normally use keeps kicking me off:rolleyes:

Firstly I need 1 week - collecting from MCO 17th Oct and dropping off 24th at Port C, then 1 day hire, collecting from Port C dropping off at MCO. I figured this will be cheaper than hiring for 2 weeks and paying the parking at the terminal aswell. Just more hassle though:rolleyes:

How long did it take you to find the car rental place, drop off the car, sort whatever paperwork etc and get to the port? We'll be driving down on the morning now so need to plan timings etc. I want to be there earlier than last time.

Yes, they do 1-day rentals. That is what we booked for after the Repo, even though we only had it for 1-hour.

No problem dropping the car off and getting to the port. I personally had better luck with Avis than Budget, but many like Budget on this thread. I think you'd be fine with either.

DS does have off on 9/26. If I could get really cheap airfare, I would add a day off for DS from school and have a 4-day weekend. It would be right before our anniversary too.

The problem would be that Suz will still want to go in Winter. :sad2:

Suz is smart.

Christmas.

Hey Mel!! I see you have 16 days!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

19 for me!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Jeff- Don't you want to be added to all this fun?? ;)

Can you remember roughly what you paid and/or what site you used? We'll be collecting when we get off the ship and dropping off about 6pm same day.

What a handsome little man :lovestruc

And thanks for the ketchup tip, I will have to try that out Karen :lmao:

They were loud and obnoxious. From what I've read, they were even worse than what we encountered. One comment was, "Animal House on the Disney Magic".

We actually stayed away from the QC pool because of it. Like another person posted, and it was so true, "it was quieter and more relaxing at the Goofy pool".

Sorry to hear that. I did read that there were a lot of rude teens and adults alike on your cruise. Sounds more like our RCCL cruise than a DCL cruise :sad2:

Don't really have time to read back but :welcome: to all our New BOBers!!! I'm Shelley and will be traveling with my hubby Woody. We are WDW veterans with 60 + trips under our belts but this will be our first Disney Cruise Can't wait to meet everyone!

Hi gang! :flower3:

Andy glad you and Hazel are home safe and sound. Wonderful pictures and blog! Wish we were there with you.

60 trips?????????? Shelley....would you adopt me please??? :flower3: :rotfl2:

I am thinking having a drink would be the least of our troubles (as women).....maybe I'm wrong.

Oprah had a show once with women all over the world in their 30's. One lady was from Dubai, after hearing her story...almost made you want to move there! They get everything paid for, including ANY schooling you want...all medical etc. I don't know all the details but her life seemed amazing and she didn't wear any cover-ups.

My dream is to stay at the Burj Al Arab one day!! :goodvibes :cloud9: :lovestruc

The nearest car rental is Budget,we used them last week with no except the tank was only 3 parts full, but because a friend kindly offered to pay for my car hire i didn't bother going back in to question them about it....

Alamo took over 2 hours to sort me some wheels in LAX,then the bloody thing broken down on the way Vegas in the dark....at the time Hazel was :scared1: and the fact a Huge 50 wheeler trailer came up the dark ramp behind us and just sat there with his full beam on didn't help the situation either....:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

  My goodness, that sounds very scary!!!! :scared1:

Ok, is anyone else tempted by the possible transatlantic crossings or baltic sea cruises for 2010?

Maybe the crossings if they were priced right but I wouldn't go to the Baltic for the ports.

Ok, I have to go fix some lunch for Rob.....he's running home. Literally.

Jeff and AFEG, you two should listen to your wives more often.:goodvibes

Wow, Suz would be happy. WDW later this month, again at Christmas, then the first weekend in March and lastly Labor Day.

That's provided I take everyone's advise. ;)

We used Avis only because we had a 12:15 flight and I didn't want to get caught in line at Budget (Avis has "preferred" at their location - walk in, get keys, walk out).

With a little more time, you could go for Budget. We may next year since we aren't flying back until Sunday.

We paid around $51 with all taxes for the one-day rental back. I think Budget was about the same when I booked it.

Sure hope all that rain you guys got in the spring has helped those money trees grow!
