Yes they have....Some are going to Austin, TX, but some (because my dad is stubborn) are just going up the road to Baton Rouge to higher ground....One of my brothers is staying behind. He has a strong house with a second floor if he needs it.

Thanks, B. I just get carried away because I would like to go and help my parents. Ok, but now I am off to a baseball game.

I hope all goes well. The roads here are packed with Mississppi & Lousiana cars. We had one outer band come through last night but it only lasted about 30 minutes. It's cloudy and breezy today. I can hear all the planes being sent out from the base. They don't take any chances.

Happy Sunday all.

A Wedge? = Wedge of lettuce with dressing???:confused3

Potato wedges - like your potato skins but no filling - just triangular wedge shaped spicy potato wedges, baked in the oven

OK, BOBers...I hate doing this but may I impose on a few thoughts and prayers for my daddy please? Seems like he fell for the 4th time this summer and is hurt again. Most of you remember last December and that he ended up in the hospital until April because of it. I won't go into detail here (because you know how I am about this thread), but if you remember to add John into your prayers tonight, it would be truly appreciated.

Thank you.

No problem Nancy:hug:   I'll pray for him:hug:

The second bed comes out of the ceiling. I believe most, but not all cabins have them. I think they only pull it down if there are four people in the cabin. I suppose you could ask your room steward to pull it down though.

Matthew

I'm just thinking that on our last cruise we tended to use the sofa as a bit of dumping ground when we came through the door as we'd asked for the little table to be removed to give us more room - if we had the upstairs bed for Ellis we could do this without having to move everything each evening.

I need to find out if 5020 has a 4th "in the ceiling" bed:confused3 I know it doesnt have a steamer trunk.

Karen, cabin 5020 does have the pull down in the ceiling bed. We have stayed in 5520 and I was quite sure Rachel had slept in the pull down bed but I checked on the DCL website before answering this to make sure and I put in a date for next Sept. with 2 adults and 2 children and both 5020 and 5520 came up as being available, so that confirms that there is a 4th bed in those cabins! When Rach was smaller she always liked to sleep in the pull down bed and all we would have to do is mention to our room steward that she would like to sleep in that bed and he'd make that up for her instead of the sofa bed. We too have used the sofa as another place to put stuff so it was nice to be able to leave it there and have her sleep in the upper bed!

Hi Cheryl, I don't think I've been on at the same time as you, since the concert. How were the Jonas Bros.?

TGM?:confused3 - WHATS THAT?

TGM stands for Tour Guide Mike, it is an automated vacation planner created by someone that is a VIP tour guide for the Disney parks. If you go to the Theme Parks Attractions and Strategies board here on the DIS http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=30&f=2 he is the sponsor at the top of the page, just click where it says "click here to save $3!" and that will link you to the TGM website and the page that gives info about what it is about. With the DIS savings it is $18.95 and there is alot of info that you get including which date in your stay is best to visit each park to avoid the crowds (this is the main reason I bought this for our Christmas trip because I know it will be very crowded), recommended places to view parades and fireworks and loads of other info. There are also boards like here on the DIS but I haven't taken the time to check them out yet other than the one that is specific to this Dec.

Hi Janice, they were LOUD, actually all the screaming girls were louder :lmao: I ended up not "seeing" the concert, another of Rachel's friends was suddenly able to go so she bought my ticket from me and I ended up being the chaffeur. While it was still light out I sat outside one of the gate areas with some other parents and we could hear very well from there, then when it got dark and the mosquitos started biting I went to the car and I could still here very well from there and that was good enough for me :rotfl2: The girls said the concert was great!!!! We got there early enough and they got in the front of th line to get in so they were able to be in the front row of the lawn seats and Rach said they were actually good seats for lawn seats. She had a lot of fun!

Good morning everyone! :wave2:

I have posted installment #2 of our Disney Med Cruise on YouTube.
For those of you that missed the first part, I'll post links to both.

This second video is for a single day. July 10th we arrived in Naples. Our tour for the day took us to the Island of Capri, then Sorrento, and finally Pompeii. It was a very long day, but I would do it all over again if I could. :goodvibes

Enjoy!

Matthew

Great job on the second video too :thumbsup2

Thanks. I am a little frustrated with the nat'l news....only reporting NOLA. There are lots of middle class and poor people who live elsewhere in Louisiana who are evacuating and basically getting ready to pull themselves up by their bootstraps without complaint.....sorry, I'm on my soapbox. Prayers for all of the Gulf Coast (yes, even NOLA) from me. If you hear them talk about towns named Morgan City, New Iberia, Abbeville, Intracoastal City, then you know my family is getting hit. We are from a town called Delcambre. (Sorry, I know I probably said that before now.)

:grouphug: That's how it seemed with Katrina too, there was so much news about the damage to New Orleans even though so much more of the Gulf coast had disastrous damage too and the media didn't cover much of that either.
Keeping your family in our thoughts and prayers :grouphug:

Thank you so much! - I never thought to look on the Disney cruise site myself:rolleyes1

:thumbsup2 - I'll check it out

Those were great! I wonder how much time it took to set all of that up for both of them

I know! - must have taken ages! - I thought of Steve when I watched the lights one - similar to his xmas videos

Hello from the Radisson........

Our flight arrived in Orlando 35 minutes early, we got to the Radisson to early to check-in, so we headed over to Grills for a late lunch/early dinner. I had the grilled tuna sandwich, yum! yum!

We arrived back at the Radisson around 3pm, got checked-in took a couple of pics, then my mom and Walt left to head back to Tavares. They have about a 2 hour ride back home.

Hazel and I have room 801 and we are across from the backside of the pool.

We have a DISmeet planned for 7:30 at the Radisson Pool.
