Our trip report for October 24-27, 2007.
Cast of characters, me (the mommy), my hubby (the daddy), and our 3 ½ year old princess fanatic!
Day 4Saturdaylast day
No rest for the weary, up again at 6:45 AM, today we had PSs for breakfast at Steakhouse 55 at 7:30 AM. I get the French toast with bananas foster to die for.
Then off we go to DL get there by 8:30 (EE was at 7 this morning.) Today is catch-up day finally do Tiki Room, Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder (I waited 10 minutes in the reg. lineDH swap passed and was on in 4 minutes,) Storybook Land boats (20 minute wait for these), and Buzz one more time.
Then it was lunch time (11 AM), and we decided to repeat Rainforest Café, got in without a PS. I paid $80 to get late check-out of 3 pm. So back to the hotel for a nice nap, and then we checked out at 3 and gave the bellman our bags.
Off we went to DCA, checked Monsters Inc line was a ½ hour, so we decided to go wait for the Brother Bear Ceremony and have a snack. Well, the priestess couldnt make it, so it turned out to be just a Koda and Kenai meet and greet, we were pretty disappointed, should have rode Monsters Inc. Now it was almost 5 PM, and we had yet to go shopping. So we went to World of Disney and got a Christmas ornament, and some princess things for DD, and went to meet our driver.
35 minute car ride back to LAX, no line at security, and then no where to shop or eat (well there was BK, Starbucks and a sports bar with a very small menu). Stupid airport, we had 2 hours to spare and nothing to do. Next time we are using a different airport, not because of location, but convenience when we leave, this one was ultra-dull.
Our flight was basically empty so we got moved to first class, which was really nice. 1 hr 50 minutes later we were in Portland, OR, and at a little after midnight we were home. DD still awake and jabbering about the trip.
There you go, that is all of it, every detail.
Next time, we will do 5 days 4 nights, stay at GCH (to be that much closer), and make PSs for dinner INSIDE the park, not at the hotel or DTD. Live and learn but boy it was a fun vacation. I am still sore from all the walking!
