Didnt work though did it! On our old thread I used to complain if there wasnt plenty for me to read in the morning ... if they all posted lots they'd comment that I'd be pleased when I woke up. Hey! - it gets lonely over here in England in the mornings when you lot ar still sleeping

We are picking up a Wii by the end of the week for our kids/us. Elaine always wants to put the tree up on Thanksgiving Day. I tend to frown on that as being too early, but this year we are going to the Macy's parade so I won't have that discussion, at least until the next day!

A wierd thing happened last night though....

My parents have only been to the house twice in 16 months: and both times they were forced to come by Ellis. Anyway, Neil, Ellis and I are playing wii in the evening and the doorbell goes! - I opened the door and there they are! - holy cow! - they've caught the bus and turned up without even ringing first I tried to disguise my horror and shock with a smile and invited them in. At first I thought they'd come with bad news ... but no!........ as I'd sorted out all their finances last year (and she still moans and worries about it) she realized - finally - that I'd done a good job cuz even in recession she managed to pick up a tidy sum of interest last week. Well, she pulled out 3 envelopes and handed us all one.
Inside was some money: A thank you for sorting it out for her guilt money as she's been so blooming awful over the last year, but hey! - I'll take it

They stayed a couple of hours and she even took her coat off this time (she usually sits in her coat so she can leave at a moments notice), then Neil took them home while I put Ellis to bed. Strange evening:

OK, so Nicky found out that I posted his sister's picture yesterday and he wants equal time. Look at this little mug:

Cute cute cute!!! I would love to have one of those but I think my cat owning days are over once Goofy is gone. I think I am getting old because all I think about is cleaning the cat litter I need a break! Been doing it since I was a kid

Ok, well it's been nice lurking, folks. I'm off to Bible Study--I hope it sinks in this time.

Then I am going shopping for decorations for Emily's Homecoming dinner. Rob and I are chaperoning. It'll be his first time meeting her new boyfriend, Ryan. : I'll post pics over the weekend.

Ryan asked "Can i stay at my mates house Friday?"..... ....Can't knock his taste Coz she's a heart breaker but we were kinda hoping he's leave school before getting married.....It's just not how we do things over here.....:

I was going to say start up with the Oatmeal too but it looks as if someone beat me to it already. Andy, just be sure it isn't the instant oatmeal packages....they contain tons of sugar.

We just have the regular, plain, unflavored oatmeal, I made sure of that!!!

Ryan asked "Can i stay at my mates house Friday?"..... ....Can't knock his taste Coz she's a heart breaker but we were kinda hoping he's leave school before getting married.....It's just not how we do things over here.....

We have a Ryan too! He is 23 and getting married in July. He is still living at home and is in college. We are hoping the same thing that he will be out of school before they get married because they are not living with us

Isn't a law that Christmas Trees are put up on Thanksgiving or the day after?

Baby was it cold and windy this morning. I started reading meters and about 15 minutes into my day I called Hazel and had her bring me my gloves, hooded sweatshirt and warmer coat. I thought I was dressed warm enough for the morning, when I started out, but that wind was just going right through me. I was SO happy to get my gloves on my hands. The bad thing is, it isn't even winter yet......

Gotta grab some lunch, then at 1pm head in, and get my flu shot!!!
