I was encouraged however, my good cholestrol went up from 35 to 48, so the exercising is really helping!!!

My overall cholestrol was 219, I need to get that below 200. I see my doc in two weeks and I will be working to get more weight off before I see him.

No more friendlies!!!

Sorry, I have been so busy lately getting everything done. I'm behind with everything!

A wierd thing happened last night though....

My parents have only been to the house twice in 16 months and both times they were forced to come by Ellis. Anyway, Neil, Ellis and I are playing wii in the evening and the doorbell goes! - I opened the door and there they are! - holy cow! - they've caught the bus and turned up without even ringing first I tried to disguise my horror and shock with a smile and invited them in. At first I thought they'd come with bad news ... but no!........ as I'd sorted out all their finances last year (and she still moans and worries about it) she realized - finally - that I'd done a good job cuz even in recession she managed to pick up a tidy sum of interest last week. Well, she pulled out 3 envelopes and handed us all one.
Inside was some money! A thank you for sorting it out for her - guilt money as she's been so blooming awful over the last year, but hey! - I'll take it!

They stayed a couple of hours and she even took her coat off this time (she usually sits in her coat so she can leave at a moments notice), then Neil took them home while I put Ellis to bed. Strange evening

Well, its a cold but sunny morning here in England today.

I had a lie in nd Neil took Ellis to school. I'm just about to soak in the bath then its off for lunch with a friend I havent seen in 2 years

I only have a little school PTA work to do at home and then the whole day is mine

Not only is it payday for me today, but while I am at the Municipal Building picking up my paycheck, I will also be getting my annual Flu Shot. The township pays for these every year for the employees. Hazel and Lina received their flu shots last Wednesday at our doctor's office. I make sure I get my flu shot because of going in and out of so many homes during flu season. The one year where there was a shortage and I couldn't get a flu shot, don't you know it, I wound up with the flu that winter, and it wasn't any fun at all........

KarenYour mom sounds too similar to mine except mine hasn't been to my home in over 15 years. She is 89 though - must cut her some slack. Yes, for all of you doing the math, I was a very LATE baby.

Yep your right Mimi. The other added chore is helping my two oldest son's go get some fire wood for next year. They got a good deal $185.00 per cord.
Nancy subs today half day they does a whole day Friday.
Joanne don't let the job get the best of you. Joanne remember your family comes first,and your health theres not enough moey to replace all of that.
Well off the the barber shop. Yesterday he was out with a cold so we will try today.

We found out earlier that my former sister-in-law Jenn (age 36), suffered a stroke over the weekend and is still in the hospital tonight. When Jenn got home from work Saturday night she told her grandmother she wasn't feeling well and needed to go to the hospital, once a few tests were run, it was discovered that she had a stroke and she also found out she had a whole in her heart, that she must have had since birth. My mom is still waiting to hear if Jenn needs surgery.

Said a little prayer for Jenn already Andy.

Well, I still have more hard work ahead of me, I just received a call from my doctor's office letting me know my cholesterol level is borderline high, but all other results came back in the good range.

I was going to say start up with the Oatmeal too but it looks as if someone beat me to it already. Andy, just be sure it isn't the instant oatmeal packages....they contain tons of sugar.

Good evening everyone...

I had a pretty long day. Worked this morning and then this afternoon I bought a wagon to pull behind my lawn tractor and raked the leaves that have fallen, and took them to the woods at the end of our street to dump them. After I did my yard, I helped the neighbors.

This will make it so much easier to stay on top of my leaves. It is so much easier then bagging them. My oak trees never have all of the leaves dropped by the time the city does leaf pickup anyway and then the regular garbage pickup doesn't take bags of leaves!

After that we had youth programs to oversee so we just got home! Tuesdays are very LONG days for us!.

It is good to be home!!!!!

We have 13 trees on our lot that are all over 50 years old so we have tons of leaves. We still burn our leaves on Saturdays. I love the smell of all the neighbors burning on the weekends. A true sign of fall around here.
