With our 33rd wedding anniversary coming up this Friday, thought I'd post a pic from that very "special day" in 1975!!!

Wow, cool! Almost the same date as Robin and Mike?

I am attempting to post some pictures of my daughter from the game yesterday. I realize only a handful of folks on here know us personally, so I apologize in advance if this is a "come see my pictures" moment for some of you. She is the flyer and the one on the right with the team mascot.

Hi BOBers!

We're home (got back to the house about 12:30 this afternoon) and had a really fun trip and are officially fat with food.

I hope I haven't missed anything important because I'm not reading backwards ... :rotfl2:

Happy birthday to Jen and Happy anniversary to Cass and Rob!! :cool1:
Welcome back, can't wait to hear all about it. Happy Birthday also

I just received this pic of my nephew "Charlie the Pirate" the pic was taken as he was on his way to his first Fall Festival Celebration.

Great pics Mimi, she is a beautiful young lady, and I'm sure you are very proud of her!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Off to color my hair.
Time for a change.
I love seeing girls with that burgundy brown hair.
I want to try it. But my hair has been light...strawberry blondish... so last night I colored it brown, today that reddish cinnamon color goes in:eek:

If it turns out really bad, I'm calling in sick tomorrow;)

Good luck with the hair! I am always timid about going to someone new and lately the color doesn't seem to last long enough. I may have to learn how to grey gracefully - agh :scared1:

Hey Brenda,
Read any good books lately?
I hate most of the usual mundane best seller list books, I like unusual stuff.
That book you told me of "The Road" was cool though.

I just finished in the last month:
The Terror.... historical fiction about the quest for the Northwest passage and a creature killing people there.
The Thirteenth Tale.... loved this one!

now reading:
The Stolen Child.... about a hobgoblin/changeling that swaps places with a seven year old boy and every chapter alternates with whats going on in their lives.

Ok, so something unusual.... supernatural..... scientific even.... blood and gore is good too...
just not the usual fluffiness, love, family, puppies..... don't really like mystery stuff either.

So...... anything you've read I might like?
Cause I'm on my last interesting book that I've bought and stored away.

You can do it!
I do mine at home too, too much money to pay someone every 6 weeks.
and the root touch up kits work great too!

your daughter is just gorgeous! :goodvibes

She is gorgeous!:cutie:

Awwww, thanks! She is not the 4 yr. old varsity mascot anymore. Time flies!

I had not noticed the shoes - can't believe I missed them! They're great!!!! What a sign of the times![/COLOR]

She's beautiful.

Thanks; but as they say, pretty is as pretty does - we hope she stays pretty inside with all there is to tempt her in college.

Thanks Andy - happy for her! She has always been happiest upsidedown.

They were my blue suede platform shoes(remember it was the 70's), I had the shoes first and matched the tux to go with the shoes!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Love the shoes!!!

Hmmmm ...

I've recently finished reading Earth Abides ... written in the 1950s it's an apocalyptic "sci-fi" novel ... I really enjoyed it and thought that even for being written at the time it was that it still resonates in today's world.

Also read The Poisonwood Bible over the summer and that was absolutely riveting ... pretty emotionally wrenching at times, too.

And ... My Sister's Keeper which was really good and very emotional.

And ... just finishing King, Kaiser, Tsar which is a sort of tri-biography of Kaiser Wilhelm II, Tsar Nicholas II, and King George V that delves into their familiy relationships with each other (they were all cousins) and the lead-up to WWI. I've always been interested in this era and have read pretty extensively about it, especially on the Russian side. This book is very accessible and really interesting - it draws quite a bit from unpublished family letters and diaries.

Hope that helps a little. :goodvibes

BTW - I also loved The Thirteenth Tale! Couldn't put it down once I started reading!

Ok, B, Thanks, I'm going to check them out on Amazon.com and see what I think!
I'll also go there and check out the "If you like this..... then you might like this" for suggestions, it's really helpful.
But the last few times I ordered books I got them slightly used from half.com!:thumbsup2

Thirteenth Tale was a easy and good read:thumbsup2

Mimi, she is gorgeous! But knowing you and Mack, I'm sure she is more than just a pretty face.

Hi all! Well......a chain of events this week has caused us to cancel our cruise plans. We were scheduled to use our Marriott HHI resort in July. Found out we aren't able to go so we deposited it with II. Our week qualifies for a bonus week (a reduced rate) at any number of resorts world wide. It costs us nothing if we use it so we decided to keep our eyes open. This morning, I was able to book a 2 bedroom at Marriott's Surf Club in Palm Beach Aruba for next Labor Day for $299. Too good to pass up. We just can't do both.

I hope you all don't mind me popping in once in a while to see how you are all doing! Have a wonderful cruise! If only money grew on trees......;)

:guilty: So sorry to hear you are cancelling the cruise Susan, but yes, do pop in and say hi from time to time.......;) ;) ;)

Thanks - Mack probably has more to say on this than I, but I'll say this much - she doesn't know she is a pretty face. She is a sweetheart with a big heart.

Wow! - she's georgous..... and very bendy:eek:

Very bendy - I've never heard it put that way, but yes, she is. Thanks!

Oh I am so sorry you will not be going though I am not sure time in Aruba is not worth it! Everything I have seen from pictures there lets me know it is somewhere I would love to go. Enjoy!

Thanks guys! We love Aruba and have been trying to find a way to get back - our trade attempts have been unsuccessful so this was a real find! Not to mention cheaper with the deal we got. That doesn't hurt!
