Just got back from food shopping

I could barely push the trolley.
Tonight we're decorating hte dining room all spooky and having a "monsterous meal" and

We're having a fireworks party with all the families in the Close tomorrow evening

I'm about to carve the pumpkin - wish me luck

Jay and I both are working until 6PM this evening and Friday night traffic in St. Louis going westbound (we live about 45 miles west of downtown) is terrible. On Halloween it's even worse because everyone is trying to get home to take their little urchins out for candy.

So Jay and I are meeting up at a sushi restaurant called Drunken Fish and we're going to stuff ourselves with raw fishies and rice until we think it's safe to go home.

I have been out of touch some. I had some minor surgery yesterday that left me in stupor and sick on my stomach. I know I tried to post yesterday afternoon, so just forgive me now if I got out of line. Ill be home today so I don't get sick all over my students - though I might actually aim at a couple of them given the chance. Just kidding!

Good morning and a Happy Halloween to everyone!

Ah, its Friday. Isn't that a good feeling?? Its a chilly start today but the temperature is supposed to hit 60 today, so maybe I will get some good raking time in before it gets dark around 6. I just wish all of the leaves would fall! My maple trees are almost all dropped, but my Oak trees still have a couple more weeks. They will fall just in time for my busy season when I am working long days! Oh well, I'll just have to take a couple of hours here and a couple of hours there when the weather is decent!

I'll check back throughout the day...
