Glad to hear you say that, I know a lot of people really dislike France, but I've always wanted to go there since I was young:)

Well, I'm of a mind that it's silly to dislike a place you've never traveled to. And I would dearly love to visit France ... the history, the architecture, the flowers, the art, the food and the booze ... sign me up! :rotfl2:

And I had my first one at Epcot, near France, because of your excellent recommendation over a year ago! THANKS!

Cool! I'm always happy when I make a recommendation that someone else likes. :goodvibes

Speaking of gas station, I saw gas today for $2.89!!! This gas station is on the access road along I-295.

The station down the street from us dropped from $2.97 yesterday to $2.95 today.

$3.32 here.:sad2:

France sounds great, Rose! I'd take that over WDW, too!:thumbsup2

Does this all mean that Disney is not now thinking of doing the Alaskan cruise?
Or do you think that this will still be a possibility when the new ships are constructed.

No, they won't be going to Alaska.

Also, I believe the new ships have a certain length of committment to FL (I think 3 years).

Further, unless they station the new ships in the Pacific, they'd have to take it around the tip of South America to get back to FL until the 3rd lane of the Canal is done. The new ships will be too big for the current locks.

However, I think you'll save a ton of money if you go on another line.

Can't remember if I posted it here or not, but you should see how much cheaper Norwegian is the week of the BOB. You would still get St. Thomas, but pick up Tortola instead of St. Maarten, and add the Dominican Republic.

The total for the 3 of us in a mini-suite would be the same as we're paying for our SPH (an inside room) on DCL.

Very interested to see what DCL prices the "normal" cruises at for the rest of the year. When is that due out by the way?

How do you folks on the east coast have such cheap gas?

I was excited coming back from the hospital to find gas at $3.35 per gallon.

I like Pomegranate martinis, anything close??

France sounds good, look thinking Bob;)

Pomegranate martinis are also very good! The only difference is that you use vodka and pama for the martini and for the kir you'd use pama and champagne (or a sparkling white wine).

I paid $3.42 on Sunday at a gas station out of town, but had to pay $3.49 today at the gas station near the house. Elaine left me on fumes and I didn't have enough gas or time to get to the station out of town.

Connecticut has some of the highest gas prices in the country. Whenever I drive to Yankee games I keep an eye on the prices at service plazas on I-95 and the Merritt Parkway. As you get closer to the city it is more expensive. In Greenwich and New Canaan, it is about 20-25 cents more than it is in Eastern Connecticut.

Low state taxes on the gas here is Jersey, about the only tax that is low. Our real estate tax MORE than makes up for the low gas taxes.

Next Tuesday 10/14 from what I have heard.

FO!!!

Boy Paige and you could travel to France and have an easy time speaking and understanding, more so than I. My 4 years of French was way too many years ago.

My grandparents used to live in Central Jersey...Brick. 10 years ago, they decided to move to Lancaster County, PA to get away from those taxes you mentioned. I think they also saved significantly on auto insurance as well. Instead of dodging cars on the Parkway, they dodge buggies on the country roads of Lancaster County. Every time we visit them, my kids can't get over all of the farms, and love spotting the buggies.

We had a continuing education seminar at Willow Valley for 5 days just after we were married. That was a nice time. Although, by the 4th night, the buffet got old as it was pretty much the same thing, but it was good!
