10/24/09 Bash on the Boat (I'm With BOB) Thread #11

I just got a Castaway Club e-mail at 11:12 AM EST.

They are having a big announcement on 10/06/2008 at 12:30 PM followed by a webcast at 12:45 PM.

Has anyone heard about this already? I suppose it is announcing the new Summer 2010 itineraries. (Northern Europe???)

We were there friday night. Didn't dress up though. It was fun. Kids were dissappointed in candy. Last year was better. Fire works and parade were great.

We only went to a couple of treat spots -- didn't want Amelia thinking she could eat all that candy! LOL

It was our first MNSSHP and we were just "eh" on it. We enjoy MVMCP much more and look forward to it this coming December. IT was fun to dress up though and Amelia got a huge kick out of Mommy being dressed as Snow White. I had a couple little girls come up to me and ask if I was Snow White!

Matthew, I just got the same email. I work second shift on Monday so I'll be able to check it out and watchthe webcast

Welcome back Mel Sounds like you had a great time! Can't wait to see more pictures. How was Saratoga Springs? What section were you in? I have requested the Grandstand area for our Christmas trip.

We had a really nice trip. We were in the Grandstand and loved it. It was very close to a bus stop, the Grandstand pool and only 3 minute walk to the Carriage House. We really loved this section and our room location. I put in a DTD view (Congress Park) as my first preference for December and The Grandstand as my second preference. I also just got done tweaking our reservations for December based on how this last trip went. We want to do more meals in our room so we'll be arranging with Garden Grocer for that.

Work has been nuts and this darn cold is killing me. I need to go back to CC!!!!!

Mets caved again! Lost the wildcard on the last day of the season. So, I think my loyalty has shifted to the Rays.

I try to pretend I'm back on CC, sitting in the water, drinking a Konk Kooler, but then my co-workers snap me out of it!

I found another "live from the Boardwalk" webcam http://live.yahoo.com/disneyworldview I can hear the boat horns and the Boardwalk music in the background I think you can see the EPCOT fireworks from this one too! It's only up until tomorrow though

We were in Congress Park with a DTD view our other stay at SSR This time I thought we'd try Grandstand (if we can get it) and see what we like better. Actually I'll be happy with any location at SSR over being here I can't wait to stay in one of the new treehouses when those open!

Thanks Kathy! That other cruise line - the one with ice skating and such - had an amzing offer yesterday that was quite hard to pass up, but we did!!!

I'm glad to hear that! I have sailed on that 'other' cruise line and we spent 1/2 our time waiting on line for things (mostly the elevator) plus someone was always trying to sell us something extra. They even charge for soda and ice cream.

There's nothing quite like sailing with the Mouse! Everything else pales in comparison. I get teary everytime I here the ship's horn!
