I'm waiting until Saturday so I can get the $100 extra onboard credit (Konk Kooler Fund). I checked with AAA and they said that there are still 2 Cat 7's right across the hall from you guys.

b/t/w Lester threw a nice game last night - he is a good kid, you guys are lucky to have him!

Kathy, thank you for asking. Brandon seems to be doing quite well. Talked to him Sunday & he sounded good. He's getting around without crutches; in fact he has another work/study job reffing intramural football!

Good luck on Sat. We're heading for MA tomorrow for a wedding. By the time we get home Sun. you should be booked.

Yes I'm a Yankee fan. All that Manny talk was creeping me out. Right now the LA fans have been taken in by the sweet-cuddly-yet-not-too-bright Manny. Wait until they meet the nasty-selfish-I-don't-feel-like-playing-because-my-knee-hurts Manny. But I guess they won't see that Manny until after they pick up his gazillion $$$ option. at the end of the season.

Wow, I feel better now. Promise I won't go off again.

Funny, I was thinking the exact same thing when I saw the pic!

Lina got the job at the Disney Store, she starts Oct. 12th as a Seasonal Employee to start!!!

The manager told her they are hiring extra people for seasonal help, but will be keeping some of them after the holidays are over. She told Lina to work hard and not to call out, and she could possibly be one of the people the store keeps after the holidays.

Lina is really excited about getting the job!!! And so are we!!!

Congrats Lina! That sounds like a fun job.

I finally get a text message from my DS Sean (who's off on his first year of college at Florida Tech..... for those of you who don't know us)


He never calls or messages me unless he needs something!




So.... the first message says
"You didn't buy my plane ticket home for the summer yet did
you?"


No, I reply..... Why do you ask?


"Good, because I'm not coming home, I'm staying here"

End of message!
No phone call, no other messages...
I call his cell and dorm, no answer...
I text him to call me tonight and tell me what's going on.

Wow! My baby, my only child off to college for the first time far away from home, now is not coming home for the summer!

HMMMMMMM....

Hope he's figured out how he's paying for that!
Dorms I believe are closed for the summer...
Perhaps he'll be staying with one of his roomates? 2 are from Florida and 1 is from the Cayman Islands....

I work for The Salvation Army and the food bank is the place where we go to get the food to pass out to the community. Unfortunately, we are having construction going on in our building so storage at the moment is rather tight. We should be back to normal in a week.

Some day the Yankee,s will wake up a stop buying these high priced has been's. They are a very old team. The avarage age of the Sox's is 24.

There will be a lot of changes this year. Giambi will be gone, Abreu will be gone. Pettitte and Mussina are big question marks. I think there will be some very interesting changes this off season. The Sox do have some potential with their good young players, Ellsbury, Lester, etc

I am a Bleacher Creature. I have a small season ticket plan to Section 39 and join with the other creatures with the roll call and other creature antics. I agree 1000000% with you on Manny. Everyone is loving him because he is on his best behavior. Boras told him to shut his mouth and hit like crazy so the two of them can get even richer. It will be interesting to see where he ends up since he is a free agent.

Well this morning Nancy and I are thinking back to last week being on the beach at CC and our Conk Coolers with Joanne and Roger. Oh to be back there.
All we can do now is count the day,s until 10/24/2009 when we meet all new friends. This will be new to us because all we have been on are the Member Cruises. I can see now thjs is going to be a great bunch to be with.

Chilly here down in NJ as well, but at least it is dry today, had enough rain last night!!!

Sean or Cath, is Phoebe coming on the cruise with you all or did I dream that? I can't remember. If they won't let Olivia into the teen group I have a feeling Alex won't mind being signed up for the Lab instead so she can be with Olivia. I know she just wants to get to spend as much time as possible with her as possible. Plus she met Megan the other night at the meet and she will also be in the lab. The kids are going to have a great time. Megan is also on the kids boards so tell Olivia.

Man, i dread those days!!! A girl I work with is kinda going through the same thing. her daugher went to college within driving distance but hasnt' come home because she is "too busy". This lady is happy that at least her daughter is loving school and isn't homesick. But I think she is ready to see her little girl.
