Anyone else think it was weird that I was the only parent that brought a camera???????? :rolleyes1

might as well give kira lou retton that gold medal right now.:cutie:
as far as the camera....you know my wife takes that darn thing everywhere.
:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

morning chris.
we're going new counter top shopping today.:scared:
That sounds fun...:rolleyes1

Well I got out of going to the mall. My neighbor is going along with my wife and mother in law. My day will be pretty easy today, and considering the weather I don't mind staying in!

you can just watch football all day.:thumbsup2

our DIL is going pumpkin shopping today.:confused3 i guess its a tradition in her family. they go out to a bunch of different places and pick out a BUNCH of pumpkins.:confused3 :rotfl2:
our DS just laughs at her.:lmao:

I just brought her home. It was a long day at the hospital. She is sore, but I think she will be fine tomorrow. I am going out to get her prescriptions now.

Thanks for your concern and well wishes! :) :grouphug: :flower3:

I'm glad things went well Chris. :thumbsup2

No wonder malls are filled primarily with teenagers, they're the only ones who can handle all that stress of shopping and crazy shoppers :lmao:

Ok, I went there for basically ONE thing....I left 3 hours later without my ONE thing

I was looking for a plain black flowy skirt.

8 stores later, I finally found what I was looking for...

it was $175  :scared1:

No thanks, I will just wear my plain black pants in Vegas :rolleyes1 I might be a little warmer than I would like but I have $175 in my bank account thanks :goodvibes

Yikes! $175.00??? I'd be wearing my pants too. ;)

I love our little "Turtle Face" :cutie:

Lovely photo Paige. It's good to see Linda again. Anyone heard from her?

Heather

I received a mass email from her but that's all.

Morning all! Busy Saturday ... lots of stuff to do.

Chris, happy to hear Elaine is feeling so much better! :goodvibes

That sounds fun...:rolleyes1

i think its all part of robins master plan. first i had to paint 2 walls (for contrast. i dont even know what that means) then we got some ceramic tile.
i started putting that in the other day.(looks pretty good if i do say so myself) now the countertop doesnt match(so she says). and i couldnt put the old curtains back up after painting because they dont match either.
its her sneeky way of doing a MAJOR redo i think.:rotfl2: :lmao:
now shes talking, since we're getting a new top, how about a new sink with faucets too. :scared: :scared:
you gotta watch these chicks, they're tricky.:lmao: :cutie:

Hey Mikey,

Did you know about the Naugthy Mud Room?

All I heard was about the "Wind"....:lmao:

Walt :cool1:

i did know about that room.:cool2:
bigred tried to take me in there for some "mud wrestling" last year.:woohoo:
i told her no thanks, but if it was a jello room, i would go for some jello wrestling.:rotfl2: :lmao: :thumbsup2 :cool1: :cool2:

That sounds like fun! I have been doing a lot of painting at the office lately. I finally figured out an easy way to do trim painting with a brush.

LOL Elaine just saw me on the DIS and said, "are you telling everyone I am doing better?" I told her she needs to get on here, she would love it.

Good morning everyone,
:wave2: hi karen and jen mouse, see you both on.
Welcome Giap and Dave - we are Sean,Cath and Olivia (12) from England and this will be our second cruise. We were table mates with Rob and Paige last year and had a fab time. Enjoy your meet on sunday, wish we were coming.
Heather - the pics are fab, any more to come?
Tanya - Claire looked beautiful on the pics. Can you explain to me what is homecoming.

At our school, each homebase elects one boy and one girl to represent the room at halftime of the homecoming football game. At high school it is more elaborate with parades etc. We usually have spirit week at our school with a school colors day and pjs day, crazy hair day, college team day, fake injury day, etc. Whatever the kids come up with that seems harmless and fun.

Good morning all! Cleaning house and trying to get finished by the time OSU kicks off at noon. I'd better get moving!

Watched a slide show that Laxdad did of our Labor Day cruise. When I saw the pictures of the ship....well.....sigh. Can't wait to go back! Just hoping school won't interfere. I should be in my last semester of my bachelors and working on my senior project and that might present a problem. I should know my schedule in the spring so we will wait and see. Fingers and toes crossed!

Did you guys hear that they are doing a POC 4!? I am so pumped! Johnny Depp signed on but I haven't heard anything about the rest of the cast. I wonder if the story of Elizabeth and Will has run its course. Weren't Jack and Barbosa off on an adventure at the end of the last one? Hmmm. And what does that mean for the Dutchman at CC? Inquiring minds want to know!

No, but I do think it is weird you put her in gymnastcs and not the sterotypical ice skating or hockey that Canada is famous for.:
Thanks for the pics, adorable as always.

I did ice skating when I was a little girl :goodvibes She's a teeny bit small for that yet methinks. My plan is to put her in a variety of things when she's really young and then as she grows up, she can decide if she wants to continue with it or not. But I will save hockey for the boys :rolleyes1 :lmao:

I just wanted to let everyone know that even though we are not going now I am still planning on doing the trick o treat bags. Just need a volunteer to mail them to.

That's sweet of you Becky!! I would volunteer but that customs thing is a pain :headache:

There is only 6 of us parents out of 675 kids at the school so we find it tough too. 2 of those are Dads who just run the bar and refreshments at events. Everything else is left to the 4 of us. At the moment we have 4 more fundraising items on the go at the same time:: - some days I go to school for longer than Ellis does:r:, then I bring home more homework to do too:lmao: ... trouble is if we didnt do it then the kids would suffer so we jsut get on with it. I'm proud to say that the PTA just reached the

I've said it before and I will say it again...you are a great mom Karen  I hope I can do a fraction of what you do for Ellis, for Kira :thumbsup2

Really?... you were the only one with a camera:confused3 - whats wrong with all those other parentsI photograph Ellis at everything.

I kept getting these looks from everyone...I don't know if it was a look of "I can't believe you brought a camera!!!" or maybe "I can't believe I didn't bring MY camera!!" :lmao:

We all have 2 whole days off now:

Neil and I are off to a comedy show tonight with friends so looking forward to that

Neil is cooking me a sausage buttie for brekkie as we speak - smells yummy!:goodvibes

Have a great weekend people:

Sounds like a lovely day Karen!! I love going to comedy shows but usually I am bent over almost peeing myself and Rob is sitting there on his chair wondering what the heck is so funny! :lmao: We don't have the same kind of humour :rolleyes1

cass..instead of a black shirt, i bet rob would really like it if you bought a nice
red

Hmmm, yeah ummm hrrrmmmm unless I lose 30 lbs, you won't be finding me in a red dress  I wish I looked as good in a red dress as Heather and Becky but I don't :worship:

I know I am in the minority, but I didn't care for Pirates 2 and 3 at all :sad2: Especially 3  But I think the first one is a FANTASTIC movie!!!!!

Pirates 4??? This is the first I have heard of it. They did sort of leave it open at the end of Pirates 3 when they went off looking for the Fountain of Youth.

Just pulled this off empire online... The link is below, but I have copied the article.

http://www.empireonline.com/news/story.asp?NID=23308

Walt Disney Studios held a massive event today at the Kodak Theatre in LA, during which the Studios’ chairman, Dick Cook, made a string of announcements about their upcoming movies over the next few years.

And Johnny Depp was at the heart of it all.

The actor showed up on stage for a triple announcement which apparently ties him to Disney for some time. That announcement was:

• That Depp will return as Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates Of The Caribbean 4.

• That he will star as The Mad Hatter in Tim Burton’s next movie, Alice In Wonderland.

• Neither of those were huge surprises, but the next one was. Boy, was it.

For Depp has signed on to star as Tonto in a movie version of The Lone Ranger, which will be produced by Pirates producer Jerry Bruckheimer.

Now that's surprising - not just because Tonto is traditionally a role for a Native American (although Depp's great-grandmother was a full-blooded Cherokee, and of course he played a Native American in his self-directed film, The Brave), but because it's very much a sidekick role to the flashier Lone Ranger, a masked crusader for justice in the Old West. So if Disney has Depp in the second banana role, they must have someone really special lined up for the Ranger himself. And, of course, we imagine that Tonto will get a lot more to do in this movie.

Details on the timeline of all three movies are a little sketchy right now, but since Burton starts shooting in a couple of months on Alice In Wonderland, expect Depp to head into that first. That might not be a huge role, anyway.

Then, it should be onto The Lone Ranger, which has a provisional release date of 2010. Interestingly, this could put it up against Seth Rogen and Stephen Chow's The Green Hornet. Why interestingly? Well, Britt Reid - aka The Green Hornet - is The Lone Ranger's great-nephew.

Of course, The Green Hornet is a Sony movie, so it's unlikely that we'll see them team up, a la Tony Stark turning up in The Incredible Hulk, but it'll still be fun to see who wins the Battle Of The Reid Family in 2010...

And after that, then we'll see Depp return as Captain Jack Sparrow, although Pirates 4 is currently only in early development. But, given that Depp staggered on stage at the Disney event in full Captain Jack make-up and costume, it's clearly a role he's itching to get back to.

I haven't even watched POC 3 yet. I got it for Christmas from Stacy but it remains unwrapped. I better watch that if I want to see POC 4.:cool1:

Very interesting Chris. I'm a Depp fan so I go to see anything he is in. If he brings it, I will come. :cutie: I hope they come up with someone worthy of beating Depp out in that top spot.

Just a quick post. We are at Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg, VA today. We were walking down in the waterpark area and we saw a table with two DVC Tote Bags. Didn't see the people though. (DVC people are everywhere! :lmao: )

VA DISmeet tomorrow evening in Fredericksburg!

Have a great day everyone.
