Wow! You are one busy mom! It's great that you can do that, though.

I'm hoping to get involved in fundraisers and projects at DS's school - I missed the first parent meeting at school because DS was sick, so I'm still working on getting some more information. The problem for me is I work full time, and can't really volunteer during the day a lot. I hope there will still be some things I can get involved with though!

There will still be plenty of things you can help with Jen - schools are always grateful for any help no matter how small. For example - for summer fayres we have 3 different tombola stalls - that means we have to fold about 3000 tickets for each stall. You cant believe how mindblowingly dull this is, but I take the books home and fold while I'm watching a soap on tv. Just little things like that can help with the "man hours" needed to prep for these sort of events. Its great tht you want to get involved:thumbsup2 go for it:thumbsup2

Good Morning Folks..........

Good morning Andy:goodvibes

I just couldn't sleep....too many things running through my mind.

We're going to a family gathering at my sister-in-law's today and staying overnight today, but I still have to pack. We're celebrating 3 birthdays, so I was supposed to finish buying presents last night, only I first had to take my mom to the doctor's office because her leg was swelling, and she didn't know if there were additional problems, so they told her to come in and get checked out. Thomas has a soccer (footie) game this morning too, so we are leaving straight from soccer to SIL's (1 1/2 hours away). I am supposed to bring dessert, and I baked the cake, but I haven't figured out how I'm going to take ice cream, so I haven't bought any yet. Yikes!

Sounds like a busy day Jen:headache: , hope your Moms ok:hug:

Oh, and I bought white t-shirts (thinking I was going to do something different) but I think it will still look ok on white. Do you?

I'm doing whhite or black too. I think the ornage will look good on plain colours:thumbsup2

Cass--loved Kira's pics, the turtle face is my favorite pic!!! :goodvibes

Howdy Karen Mouse........

Have a great and hopefully more relaxing weekend!!! ;)

Hazel and I have a wedding to go to this morning at 10:30 and it is raining cats and dogs at the moment. I hope it slows down before the wedding.

Lina has a BBQ to go to around noon, but if it is still raining like this, I have a feeling it might be an indoor cookout..........:lmao:

I think there will be things to do as the school year goes on. A lot of schools here have Parent/Teacher Organizations (do you call it the same thing?) that organize fundraisers and stuff. I was rather disappointed to miss the first meeting, but it was last Monday evening, and I had stayed home from school with Thomas and didn't even look at my calendar - I realized I missed the meeting about 10 minutes after it started!

I thought about black t-shirts, but I don't know if we (meaning the guys) will be too warm in black t-shirts.

Each person will have their own character on it - and then I'm going to do door magnets for each person with the same character.

Jen--I hope your mom is OK. You sure have one busy weekend ahead of you, I'm getting tired just reading about it.........:rotfl2:

Good morning everyone,
:wave2: hi karen and jen mouse, see you both on.
Welcome Giap and Dave - we are Sean,Cath and Olivia (12) from England and this will be our second cruise. We were table mates with Rob and Paige last year and had a fab time. Enjoy your meet on sunday, wish we were coming.
Heather - the pics are fab, any more to come?
Tanya - Claire looked beautiful on the pics. Can you explain to me what is homecoming.

She's doing fine...she got her cast off and a walking boot on last Thursday, but she can only put weight on her bad ankle for a little bit, and she still has to use her walker. I think she may have overdone it a bit the first day walking on it (she walked up her stairs instead of scooting up backwards on her behind like she did before) and that may have attributed to the swelling. The surgeon said her ankle is healing nicely though - but her next appointment is not for 4 weeks, so she will be in the boot with *very* limited use of her foot for one more month.

I am a bit tired too....:goodvibes There's just so much to do, and I've had so little time this week between Thomas being sick and taking Mom to the Dr. both Thursday and Friday. I think I wll make Pete drive to the family gathering and I will nap in the car....:cloud9:

Hi Andy, have a great day at your wedding.
Great logo Jen - that will look great on white t shirt, hope you mum is okay . What a busy weekend.
Cass - the pics of Kira are so cute. Can you send me the link to the Bob page, it says i have expired.

Hi Cath......... The wedding reception is being held at a seafood resaurant, I have never been there, but the menu sounds yummy!!! :thumbsup2

Well, it's time for me to get a move on it and get ready to head out the door. Today is weigh-in day after my workout. See y'all later.......:wave2:

Jen, try and get some sleep/rest, or you will be the next one sick.

I spent my evening at the mall :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

No wonder malls are filled primarily with teenagers, they're the only ones who can handle all that stress of shopping and crazy shoppers :lmao:

Ok, I went there for basically ONE thing....I left 3 hours later without my ONE thing

I was looking for a plain black flowy skirt.

8 stores later, I finally found what I was looking for...

it was $175  :scared1:

No thanks, I will just wear my plain black pants in Vegas :rolleyes1 I might be a little warmer than I would like but I have $175 in my bank account thanks :goodvibes

:scared1: Wow, that's a lot Cass, even I wouldn't pay that.

I'll start.....

Here is our table on formal night....

Lovely photo Paige. It's good to see Linda again. Anyone heard from her?

Well, I think I've decided how I want to do our BOB t-shirts (I have to get this done soon if I want to do them as Christmas presents)....

Let me know what you think...since I am working on this at 3:30 am, my judgement may be a bit off...:lmao: :rotfl:

Lovely, Jen.:thumbsup2

You are so organised Jen. We have our Russia trip yet to deal with. Rick's parents are coming with us now and by booking them last week, we saved $600 as they priced matched our booking with them.:confused3

A Saturday FO?

We have a busy Saturday today, thanks goodness the sun is shining. Rick's Mum and Dad are visiting us for a change. We're starting to plan for next May. I don't want to be too far away from home, just in case we get a call to go up to the hospital ASAP like last weekend.

Home from the gym, now have to grab a light snack to hold me over until the reception at noon. Still raining here, so nasty outside today. :sad2:

I did lose 2 pounds this week(18 total lost so far) :goodvibes and put in a 850 calories burn-off this morning, didn't want to overdo it today with the wedding and reception.....:rotfl:

See ya later this afternoon.........:wave2:

Good morning everyone!

Wow I fell asleep at 10:00 last night watching the debate. I guess Friday was a longer day for me than expected, but sitting in a hospital waiting room for several hours listening to my iPod put me to sleep I guess!

I had a conversation with Elaine a few hours ago. If I remember it (i was half asleep) she is doing much better and is going to go to the mall today with her mother who came to visit to take care of her these last couple of days. I hope I can get out of going to the mall!!!!!
