Good morning all....

Just stopping by to say hi!

Thomas is feeling better - he will finally be going back to school today. Hopefully he'll be able to just get right back in the swing of things.

My mom sees her surgeon today about her ankle - they will be taking x-rays to see how she's progressing. She is hoping she will get a walking boot, so she can at least put some weight back on her ankle.

Everybody's pics look awesome - thanks for sharing! Jeff, your DS looks so cute....

Here is DS sleeping by the pool:

Sooooo munchable    (and he still is!!).
Thanks for the pics of Zihuatanejo too. I hope it pans out for me. ;)

Heather: Great pics! Keep em coming. :thumbsup2

Had a bad scare this morning. I left the house at 5:50 (pitch black outside) and was on my way to Riverwinds when a deer ran right in front of my car. I split second sooner and I would have hit the poor thing. I think my heart slipped several beats. I guess my ticker must still be in good shape. :thumbsup2

A lady from our church had this happen to her a few years ago, only thing is, she did hit the deer and it came through her car windshield and the impact killed her. She had her 4 boys in the car with her and they didn't even get so much as a scratch on them. Sadly, her oldest son committed suicide last summer, hid dad said he was never the same after his mother died.

OK folks, time to get ready for work, I'll check in later........:wave2:

OMG what a cutie!! :lovestruc:goodvibes

Great pics Jeff, the pics of Logan sleeping by the pool are priceless!!! :goodvibes

SWEET! I love that age.:lovestruc They are go, go , go, go, go when awake and always look so sweet and innocent when they are asleep!:goodvibes

Sooooo munchable    (and he still is!!).

Thanks.

And Lori, they still are go, go, go when awake at 8 y.o. and sweet and innocent when sleeping. A lot of time I wish he were sleeping.

I do miss the toddler age. It was fun. But now has its plusses as well.

If they are as cute as the ones you just posted, bring it on! I can't believe how little he is there. So cute!

Thanks. I can't find the one from Manzanillo electronically. I'll have to see where Suz has the print. Hopefully we got the disc for that roll.

I do have one sleeping in Huatulco a year earlier. That one was my background on my work computer for a long time. I'll have to see if I can dig that one up.

He would never want to go back to the room when we were on vacation, but would sleep at the pool/beach without any problems. Guess that's good since Suz and I didn't have to take time to go up to the room then and we could enjoy the sun.

Another funny story about the Manzanillo trip. They have brown sand, so it is hot to walk on. It was DS's first trip that he played on the beach. He was walking at the time. We set him up under the umbrella so he was in the shade. He would walk out from the shadow onto the sunny sand and it was too hot for him. Suz would put her chair on one side of the shaded area and I'd put mine on the other. He had the whole area in between. We could stay on our chairs and watch him and didn't have to worry about having to jump up and run after him since he knew better to stay on the shaded sand.

All I can think is that they ran the Air Con (learned that one from my buddies from the UK) 24/7. Of course being Sean's parents he is defending them with the "their old" ok 50 something isn't old, and "their from WA, it's like going from Norway to the Panama Canal" oh I think not! And they have only lived there for 3 years! Before that they lived here! And everytime we went to their house in the summer we would sit in the heat because it was to expensive to put the Air Con on! Why is my house so different~starting to think that I should have taken the kids with us would have been cheaper.

Well what's done is done, venting over, gotta go fertilize the money tree out back with the whole Norway statement he made.

I figured that it had to be running the AC 24/7. That would do it in Cali. We had some expensive months here in Virginia this summer too. I had one bill that topped $430. It all comes down to the AC (Air Con).

Just repeat after me, "Tranquility now, tranquility now" :flower3:

Heather, the pics are awesome. In only a couple of weeks I will be back from Aruba posting pics!!!!!:cool1:

Wasn't thrilled with Aruba. But then again I just came down with the Cruise Crud and had slammed my finger in a door that day so that could have something with it. It was the only destination though that I thought had a decent shopping.

More pics...wonderful. Rick and I loved the island. Rick said it would be one of the places he would like to retire too! And where would he find the $$$, that's what I want to know.

From the way I read Paige's post, it sounded as if she borrowed some 2009 points, if this is the case, they can't be banked. They have to be used by the end of her current use year or she will lose them.

You could try and sell them.

Here are some pictures from a beach on Zih bay. It was really calm there. The story is that the king had a breakwater built so that the sea wasn't so rough for his wives when they went in. You can still see the large rocks in the water:

And are these his wives?:lmao: :lmao: :rotfl:

Ok so the sleepless nights have started. I was exausted last night from running around so I went to bed at 9:30. :scared: I only go to bed that early if I am sick! Well guess what. My body must have clued in to what day it was and I was awake at 3! So I got some laundry done, cleaned the kitchen floor(it was really nice not to have to worry about my hubby or my fur baby running across my clean floor! :goodvibes ) charged the laptop batteries, charged the camera batteries, cleaned off the 4 memory cards we have and I was at work by 7am. I think I am ready to go on vacation!!

I always said after sailing in 2005 right after the Magic came out of drydock that we would never subject oursleves to that again ... and the ship was in better shape in 2005 than it appears to be this time.

Those pictures of the pools are absolutely disgusting!

First report is up from the "new and improved" Magic, and some of it isn't too good......green quiet cove and goofy pool, and a brown mickey pool.:scared1:

What happened is that my borrowed points changed.....I had ressies at SSR, then changed them to BWV and the 20 points left over went into this use year.......

Paige we have been DVC members since 2001 and every year we seem to have bits and pieces left over. I think we only lost 4 points last year. It's hard when you don't travel and stay at the same resort/same time of the year. And with all the switching we had to do this year with Woody's new job and moving our Oct vaca up we have borrowed point we have to use before June. So we are using them when we go down for the Princess Half Marathon in March. Good luck figuring it out! It always gives me a headache! :headache:

Elaine hit a deer with our 3 month old car a few years ago. It happened just before Christmas so we had to wait until after the holidays to get it to the body shop, so looking out into the driveway at the banged up front end was depressing!

The ironic thing is that we got that car because she had an accident a few months prior that totalled our other one, so she was afraid to call the insurance! She kept saying, "its not a real accident, the deer hit me." Just the other day she was telling someone about it and was insisting, "you could see the deer fur all over the car so you knew the deer hit me."

Have a good day everyone! I can't DIS during work hours but will catch up with everyone after 5! TTFN! :tigger:

Thanks, Shelley. I feel better knowing that others lose points sometimes. I won't lose the full 20 because I will tack them on to our June 09 trip, but I may lose 5. I thought I understood everything about the point system after reading about it, but sometimes I guess experience is the best teacher.

Have a great time on your trip!
