Lina just called from the mall, she is there putting in job applications, she has been to four different stores and put in an application at each store.

Lina stopped in Build-a-Bear and just for the heck of it, asked if they were hiring. Lina worked at this store for 10 months before her departure in January. Lina was told that the store wasn't allow to hire anyone under 18 anymore and they do need help. The on duty assistant manager, told Lina to call back tomorrow and speak to the store manager if she is interested in coming back there to work. Lina sounded excited on the phone, I hope this works out for her. One thing with working there before, she knows the system!!!

Heather, thanks for that!!!!!!!! What an inspiring story. I feel I have been stuck at 50 lbs for a couple of months now but have started back up and been doing better again. Thanks for the encouragement!

And you and Hazel both look AMAZING!! CONGRATS TO BOTH OF YOU!

I second that! I just started my diet changes today, so I am glad for the inspiration!

I thought you had to be legal drinking age to serve drinks. Just this week, I was buying a bottle of wine at our exchange, and I had to change registers because the cashier couldn't check me out because she was not legal drinking age. Of course bartending is different, but somehow I thought the same rule applied.

Good luck, Andy and Hazel. Here's hoping she chooses a path that will be best for her and for y'all, too.

I know I am days behind on this, but you made me think of my favorite quote from when I was in nursing school. I was taking a folklore class and chose to interview other new nurses for a paper. Basically, it was about the experience of being a new nurse and most had an associate degree to get there... so they were usually a bit shy of 21. Sheena put our sentiments at being a young nurse succinctly: "I can push morphine but I can't buy myself a beer!"

In NJ you can attend bartending school AND be a bartender at age 18, crazy, isn't it. Not old enough the legally drink, but you can be be a bartender.

See my previous post! I might add that I went to the University of Las Vegas... so there was A LOT I couldn't do....but I could hold people's lives in my hands!

OK BOBer's need some quotes from you. Yesterday before a meeting my boss was giving me a bad time about my Disney obsession, why well because she doesn't understand why I like it so much, she think it's boring. So this week she is going on vacation and it is time for a little redecorating in her office. I am going to ask the staff for them to send me a photo of them at disney (land, world, cruise, halloween, don't care) and I want to put up quotes all over her office that say:
I love/like Disney because_____________________________

So send me your quotes! and if you can put your first name and home state or country. I am going to print out Mickey Heads to put all over her office, and put up a new wallpaper and password on her computer (silly girl trusts me with that password bwhahahaha), oh and maybe a little Magic horn sounding when she gets an email.

If it's not too late: I love Disney because Disneyland, Disney World and Disney cruises are incredibly romantic! And yet, nowhere else is as incredibly fun for the whole family.

I heard the letters, the golden gate bridge, the whole section from the mullholland maddness on. Even the sun wheel is going to get a make over! Although they do need to rehab that area, I do like the letters, and the bridge, but I wish they wouldn't touch the sund wheel I think that is a nice feature.

Not the sun wheel! It's so beautiful and classic for California. I would miss the letters, too...if I could ever get back to see them! I just don't have any reason to visit CA except Disney. And, since we are just a drive away from WDW, it's not likely to happen anytime soon.

Good morning everyone! Thanks for sharing the pics. We have no more birthdays in our home until Elaine's birthday in December which is in the heart of our busy season. Usually we try to have lunch together on her birthday, or do something on Sunday...our least busiest of days. Three years ago, her birthday fell on a Sunday, so we were able to go to NYC together for the evening and see Rent. Last year I took her to see Wicked in Hartford a few weeks before her birthday. Hmmm can I convince her to go see Lion King this year??? She doesn't think she will like it.

Matthew and I saw The Lion King in London a few years ago...and took the kids to see it at the Kennedy Center this summer. It is awesome! Tell Elaine two 42 year olds, a 10 year old, and an 8 year old highly recommend it!

Try to find memory cards to put the photos back on My Pictures.
