I believe the Carnival ship that is replacing the Carnival Glory at Port Canaveral next fall is called Carnival Dream. I will try to find the story and link.

Norwiegan had Dream already, I think there are going to be some repeat names with ships. Not liking Wishes too much......but hey as long as it says Disney before it I'm there:woohoo:

I hope they have a deck like that. On our first cruise we saw a few of the Carnival Fantasy class ships and Elaine looked at them and said, "look at those, there is no place to walk around the deck!" Those ships focus on the interiors. We were on RCI Empress of the Seas that had a walk around promenade like deck 4 on the Magic/Wonder. We really like finding our way there each evening. Typically, the first and last thing I do daily is walk around the promenade deck.

We love the aft 7 deck. We went there on the Panama Cruise and there were not many people there at all. Sure we didn't get to watch us go into the lock, but we wouldn't have seen that either if we had been up on 9 or 10 to many people. On 7 we watched the locks close behind us and then watched as we sailed out.

I love the comfy chairs on 4 as well, as you can see from the pic I posted yesterday.

Ok...you people will get a laugh out of this....

Carnival Dream is one of the latest of the Carnival Cruise Lines (NYSE: CCL) ships to enter the fleet; entering on September 21, 2009. At 130,000 tons, she will represent a new class of ships for the line; the biggest the line has ever built. Her sister ship, the Carnival Magic is expected to enter service in June 2011.

In regards to the Norwegian Dream, that ship is being sold to another line. I just read that somewhere on a Cruise Industry site.

I forgot to add the part that said it will be based in Port Canaveral.

bury?? good to know. with robin wanting ME to carry ALL the luggage, my
bad heart is sure to give out soon. eh cass??

oh puhleeeeeeez, and you think she is going to the gym for Sully, nope she's going there to bulk up to carry all that luggage to save your poor ticker. I bet you even pull the old Fred Sanford routine every once in awhile huh?:rotfl2:

Yeah I can see that port now.....NO not that Ugly Dream, the pretty one with the mouse ears!

Here is the part I forgot to add...

According to Carnival's press release [2], the ship and her sister, the Carnival Magic expected to have the widest variety of activity, dining, and entertainment options of the entire fleet. The Carnival Dream will start her service with three Europe cruises from Rome, Italy followed by a Transatlantic voyage to New York. In December 2009 its home port will be Port Canaveral, Florida

Wow, that's hysterical! Think they're suffering from 'Disney Envy'?

Captain Henry did confirm that the home port for the two new Disney ships would be Port Canaveral. Let the games begin!
