Cast of Characters are myself and DH in our 50's and adult DS 30. We were on the DDP and here specifically for our 5th Food & Wine Festival.
(This lunch was actually 10/24. I can't edit the title.)
Today was a bit of a late start after our Raglan Road night last night. We had 1:25 PM ADR's for 50's PTC and we were thinking a CS in WS tonight. We found we were so full after lunch that we just did a couple of Food & Wine booth offerings for dinner and we will do this CS tomorrow.
We arrived a bit early and went to the Tune in Lounge for a liquid refreshment. DH, DS and I had a beer while we waited for our table.
Once we were seated Cousin Tom was our server. He was GREAT!!!
We had decided that we were going to order different appetizers and share. We ordered: "Beer Battered Onion Rings - served with Horseradish Sauce, Shrimp Cocktail - Jumbo Shrimp served with cocktail sauce and lemon, Fried Herb Cheese - Lightly breaded, served with Toasted French Bread and Fresh Fruit". This was a great strategy. We loved each one. The shrimp were fresh and good. I have never had fried cheese before and we enjoyed the fried herb cheese with fruit. We saved the fruit for desert. The onion rings were great, but we were not served the "dipping sauce" - so that is for next time.
For our lunch, DS and I ordered: " Golden Fried Chicken - Served with mashed potatoes, chicken gravy, and Southern greens". We had corn instead of Southern Greens. We had 3 pieces of fried chicken, corn, and mashed potatoes and gravy. It was great, and we ate most of it!!!
DH had: "Traditional Meatloaf - a blend of beef and pork topped with tomato glaze, mashed potatoes, and green beans". He finished every bit of his meal and Cousin Tom held his plate up to the room and state this is what he expected everyone to do.
Great Lunch
