Okay, Everyone, that long-awaited Final FE list is in your PM boxes. I just hope that I have not left anyone out.

I haven't gotten mine yet but I'm sure there is some lag time. :thumbsup2 Thanks again for do all that work. Looking forward to meeting you and all the other great people on this board :dance3:

OMG!!!!! PUHLEEEEZE!!! That is just a bit over the top - even for Texas - i personally believe there is great merit in what children learn in their travels as well as their school days~

Exactly!! It is beyond stupid. Hope they don't cuff me when we get back :scared1:

Must be nice! TX is so crazy about kids missing school. Usually don't make too much fuss in grades k-4 but after that it is a problem. I am actually pretty stressed about it as my son is in 5th grade. I believe this will be the last time we pull him out as long as we are in TX. The only excused absence is to observe a holy day, illness verified by doctor note or death in the immediate family. Otherwise you could face the judge
"A court of law may also impose penalties against both the student and his or her parents if a school-aged student is deliberately not attending school. A complaint against the parent may be filed in court if the student:

• Is absent from school on ten or more days or parts of days within a six-month period in the same school year or

• Is absent on three or more days or parts of days within a four-week period. "

So crazy!!! Can I argue the Mouse is my Idol God and this is our holy day? :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I know that is crazy. I'm in Ark and I know they can only miss so many days but if I have to go to court. I will have to plead my case that what the kids would have learned in 1 week they will not remember even next year but time and vacation with family will be remember forever. Yes, I think we have enough people that we claim it a holy holiday. I don't remember anything in the bible Thout shall not miss school :rotfl2:

Got out final FE list as well. Thank you sooooo much Brenda! I'm sure that is a frustrating thing to do, but it is so much fun that I didn't want our family reunion to miss out on that. :lovestruc

Now, to go put everything together....

Thank you Sunshine Brenda!!!! that is ALOT of hard work!!!!

Jackie - did you check your Private Messages? that's where i rec'd my FE list....

and YES the FUN can NOW begin - it's going to be a long two weeks and i don't know if i'll be able to contain myself:rotfl: i certainly am having a rough time staying 'focused on work' at the office :lmao:

Sunshine Brenda - I didn't receive my final FE list via PM. Also, are you still planning on having the lists up outside your stateroom in case there are changes?

We fly in late evening on Thursday, October 21st - we are staying at AKL - Jambo house the 21st/22nd. We plan on doing DHS on Friday, October 22nd in the morning. We have only one ADR and that is at 50's prime time cafe at 1130. After lunch we plan on heading back to the room and taking a couple hours to relax and let the kids sleep. Around dinner time (4-5) we plan on heading over to the MK and enjoying MNSSHP. We plan on being up till 1200 - the kids should make it easily as we've kept them up that late before after an afternoon nap with no issues. However, if you see a family passed out in the terminal you will know it is us...:)

We hope to get to the terminal very early as we are hoping to upgrade to a Category 2/3 - "hope"...:)

When we disembark that next Saturday we plan on spending a few hours at AK then checking in for our one night stay at BLT. We will probably do MK that evening as well and stay up late. We don't fly back to 500PM on Sunday, October 31st.

Dog gone it!! I see what happened in both your cases. I spelled Anjelica with a "G" and I left off the "H" in Jackie's. Agrrr. Let me take care of that.
:goodvibes

All righty, then. Could you each check you PM boxes for the FE list. You are going to have to respond here because my box is full AGAIN!!!:confused3

Disney Drill Sgt,

Since our cruise goes to SAINT Thomas, SAINT John, and SAINT Martin you could tell the school system that you took a religious tour to take the kids to see the SAINTS!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

That should be a valid excuse to fulfill a religous family obligation to me.

The Mouse has quite a following. I'm sure we can get our annual pilgrimages to the Happy Place recognized. :worship::worship:

Our school district passed a similar rule this summer. DH was quite upset, so he called the principal to make sure all was well, since we've had the trip planned for a year. Principal said no problem, so DH is happy again.:banana:

We'll see about next year. :confused3 May do another summer cruise. At least you don't have to worry about the cruise being over crowded. I am going to miss vacationing during the off-season though.:sad2:
