For all of you that are staying at the Radisson at the port I just got a coupon code "CarlsonF" that saved me about $50.:banana: I had to call since I already had a reservation and you just tell them that you want to book "Carlson friends and family" and they will change your reservation. So you can do it on-line and put "CarlsonF" in where it says promotional code or just call. I guess they hold only so many rooms for the promotional rate.

yep here it is..and "CarlsonF" is right..:thumbsup2

My DH and I just decided to celebrate our 3rd anniversary (Sept 15th) at Disneyland. We are planning to stay at the DLH just for one night, Sept 14th. We will arrive about 2:00pm and head over to CA to see WOC and then do DL on the 15th.

Have to get that Disney fix in before we head East to WDW and our Magical Eastern Caribbean Cruise!!!!

I wish you all could go, too. It would be such a blast. I am hoping that the parks will be relatively quiet during this time of year with all of the kids back in school. We will have to plan to go down there one of these days.

Chat with you soon. Good luck today at work!!! Prayers, hugs and kisses to you.

Now, get this. I am one of the goofiest people in the world. Can you believe I totally forgot that we should start to be on the look-out for our cruise documents? Forgot all about those. For shame, for shame, for shame :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:!!!

Hi, Everyone. I know it's kind of early, but the early bird catches the worm. YUCK!!!

Anyway, Let's get acquainted.

I am Brenda and will be traveling with my husband Eric on what will be our third Disney Cruise together and by the time of this cruise, my fifth. It will be shortly after our third anniversary.

I have been on several cruises, but this will be my first 7-day cruise and I cannot wait.

So, what about the rest of you?

Thanks for posting so I wouldnt have to go back and dig for the happenings!

I "may" be making one more trip to DL as well - i have 8 days on my AP so far...trying to hit 10 before i renew 11/01 :thumbsup2
have you seen WOC yet? it's really nice - esp if you do the dinner / show....let me know if you want any addl info - but those reservations sell out pretty quickly so you'd need to get them soon

Hi, Strawberry Brenda, yes, whatever info you can give would be greatly appreciated. One of the reason we are going to DL is so that I can see WOC. We left before we could see it in July. My DH kind of felt bad, but I was like, hey, I'd rather get home in one piece than to see this show. So, we will see WOC on the 14th.

I was looking into getting maybe a picnic meal. What do you recommend?

Let's see, on our AP we have used it 4 times/5days thus far. Ours don't expire until 2/18/11. Wow, if you are going to hit 10, you better get a move on it. You know where you will at the end of October ;). So, you have a little over a month to get those extra couple of days in. Who knows; maybe we will see you next week :thumbsup2!!!

Anyway, let me know whatever you think is pertinent.

Has anyone ever encountered a rude person on the phone when you called Disney? Yesterday I called Disney to see if I could get our flight schedule as we booked everything through Disney. When I called she was not friendly at all and then as we started to talk she got even more rude. I asked her about the flight and she said that does not come out till 30 days out and I told her when I talked to the last Disney Cruise operator she told me 45 days out. This gal said then you will need to hold and put me on holld for a bit. When she came back she told me I would have to call tomorrow because they closed just a minute ago. She was not polite and was very rude and did not act like she wanted to help anyone. Very discouraging when you are so excited about something and one person can try to take that away.

On the plus side I called today and the gal that I talked to was very nice and told me I would have to get it from my TA and she was friendly and helpful. Talked to my TA and found out that we should be in Orlando at around 4:00 p.m. Can't wait to meet everyone!!!

Lucky you having an AP. We had them in 2008 when we did the Panama cruise, sort of by accident - made three trips down that year. Go when the xmas decorations are up. I'm glad we went when we had the AP's - great to see everything Disney does at Xmas, but we prefer going in the summer.

We got FP for WOC when I went with the kids in July. I think it was the red section - not worth it at all. We were really disappointed with the show. You couldn't see what was being projected on the water properly at all and you go wet to boot. Not soaking - just misty. But, by the end you were wet from all the mist. Pay the money at get better reserved spots. There were so really great ones along the railing at the bridge going towars Ariel's, but have no idea which meal they are attached to.

Thanks, Wendy. I think that I will do that. The whole purpose of going was so that we could see WOC.

I have never been to DL at Christmas time, but would love to. My b-day is 4 days before and I just think it would be wonderful to celebrate it at DL during that time. But our AP are blacked out most of December.

I'm sorry to hear that you had a hard time with the DCL operator. My problem in the past has been that the person on the other end of the phone has such a deep foreign accent that you can’t understand what they’re saying.:headache: I’ve never had to deal with the bad attitude thing though. I can only imagine how frustrated you were.:scared1: Try to keep in mind that every day that passes is one day closer to our cruise…I can’t wait!!!:woohoo:

We went the first weekend in December - mainly because of the blackout dates - we only had the basic AP's. It was busy, but still doable. We did the Holiday tour on the Saturday. Gave us some background of different christmas traditions, ride on Haunted, It's a Small World and reserved seating for the parade. Also, got a pin, hot chocolate and a gingerbread cookie. Fun. We went mainly to see the decorations and such. The Haunted Mansion is really cool with the Nightmare overlay. Too bad, we won't get to see it at WDW when we do MNSSHP as they only do it at DL.

We are going there on September 30th for 4 days to get our Disneyland "fix" as well and to use our AP passes once more before they expire. Happy Early Anniversary:lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc
