We made the same decision! We were planning on spending a night or two at Disney before the cruise so that we wouldn't be rushed at all having the baby with us. We were just going to pick a hotel that would keep Alex entertained, but when I realized there was a MNSSHP Friday night I decided we had to go. Alex can do his first trick-or-treating at MK. How awesome is that?! :cool1: This trip is just getting better and better!

Got MNSSHP tix for Friday too!! :thumbsup2 Bummer that we couldn't get the DVC rate for that night. It'll be our first time, but I did bring our son to MVMCP for his first trip when he was 10 months old and he had a great time! We stayed at ASMovies and he was captivated by all of the colors. Plus, since he was not yet walking he was totally content sitting in his stroller and taking in all of the activity. The fireworks were the highlight for him, and he pooped out soon after, but luckily slept through all of the noise, so we were able to enjoy the rest of the night. Basically, Disney being Disney, you shouldn't have to go far to find something to keep your little one entertained. ;) Have fun picking out his first costume. :cutie: I hope Alex has a great Disney initiation!

Just made our Friday Hyatt reservations. We decided to keep our original flights, as the SWA fares have only gone up since we purchased. I know that there are better deals, but wanted to share what I found yesterday, and booked today: AAA rate at the MCO Hyatt, through their web site, with breakfast included for the next day: 159.20. Same price as our 2008 cruise, but with food included!

Perhaps we'll see some of you around the hotel, before we hop on ME, and you all head to PC.

Finally decided what we want to do on this cruise (of course it is still subject to change)

St Maarten Tiki Hut Snorkel

St Thomas Doubloon Turtle Cove Sail and Snorkel

Castaway Just to spend the day at Serenity Bay snorkeling, swimming, eating and just enjoying my first day back at Castaway,

I can't wait. One day closer and still counting. Lois

We are so excited about this trip. We can't wait. My husband and I will be cruising with our DS(6) and DS(2). We are first time cruisers and will be joining my sister and her family! They have been once before she has been a huge help! If anyone has any advice I would love to hear it!!

Hi All,

We have just after much thought and budgeting we have decided to reschedule our cruise :-(. We won't be on the October 23 anymore. I noticed some said the ship was full and they were looking for staterooms. We have a group of 7 staterooms all have some type of verandahs. I'm not sure exactly when we will be moving the dates as we all have to research a time that will work for the gang. If someone is still looking for rooms, you can pm me and I would be happy to let you know when we actually "cancel" our rooms. I'm so sad because I really needed this vacation but money is money ARGH.

I hope all of you have a wonderful time!!

So sorry you can't come this time. Maybe run into you on future cruise. Thanks for the heads up on the rooms.

Welcome to our group. I hope to see you here often. Feel free to ask any questions you might have.

I am sorry that you will be unable to join us. I am sure that whichever cruise you finally land on will be the one just for you. You will be missed. Best wishes as you replan your vacation.

Everyday I get more and more excited:banana::banana::banana:,,just wanted to throw that out there.

I have been doing some FE research on ebay. I think I know how I want it designed now I just have to order it. She does pillowcases so I think I will order 2 of those too. They are really cute.

So how is everyone doing?

Ordered ours Saturday night, but we have not been contacted yet to discuss the design. :confused3 We might be looking at the same vendor. We're getting a pillowcase too. Cute idea! And the designs are so cute.

I know what you mean about getting excited. I was in total cruise planning mode this weekend. I stayed up until 2:30 AM both Friday and Saturday nights, and still did more reading on Sunday. :surfweb: It was the best waste of time, IMHO.

Next up, excursion decisions. Only 7 more weeks to decide. And after that, we need to start looking at rebooking dates. Because we need another one to look forward to in order to ease the blow of having to leave. :sad1:

Stupid question - when is final payment due. I totally forgot and was thinking about that last night. Is it 90 days before sailing date?

Oh no...not a stupid question - I just e-mailed our Dreams TA something similar - yesterday.

For cruises of 7 nights or shorter, final payment must be received by DCL 75 days prior to sailing.

If you are going through a travel agency (not Disney directly)...you might want to contact them to see how long it will take them to 'pay Disney'. I've read that this time will vary depending on the agency.

The sponsor of these boards and our TA, Dreams Unlimited, will process payments 7 days a week. As long as they receive payments by 2pm (EST)...they will 'pay Disney' the same day.

KEEP IN MIND...you can't do any on line reservations till you are paid in full, so guests in suites and return cruisers may want to pay up before it is required.

Thanks - I knew we had to pay in full before we could do online reservations - for us that would be 90+ days out. We have dreams unlimited as well so that is good to know they take payments 7 days a week. I am usually on top of this stuff but I feel like I am losing my head lately...:)

Ok, gang, I am back. Not that I have actually "been" anywhere. I had something very tragic happen a couple of weeks ago, and have been trying resolve that in my heart and mind. So, I occupied myself with other things. It just seem like planning a fun trip didn't seem right.

But, I am doing much better now, so I will play catch up. Welcome some of our newcomers. Say a fond farewell to those who won't be joining us.

So, let me start the catching up process.

I have finally "caught up". I am very sad to see some of cruisers leave us. But hopefully, we will meet on some other cruise.

Welcome to the Reedi, lyhayes, and the NVCloss families. You couldn't have pick a better cruise to go on. Everyone here is very friendly and very helpful. So, welcome aboard and look forward to meeting you all.

Now, our voting is almost over so I will make one final push.

Vote, Vote, Vote!!!

Glad to have you back Brenda!! So sorry to hear you have had a tough time of late.:grouphug:

Brenda, Sorry to hear that the road has been rough for you. I hope the road ahead is better.:flower3:

I also wanted to thank everyone for being so warm, welcoming, and involved. This group is shaping up to be lots of fun! So glad we bumped our trip up by 2 weeks, the difference in the groups is amazing! The boards for the cruise we would have been on is only up to 8 pages. This one is a cool HUNDRED pages longer! No FE list organized, no Disboard meet scheduled, no stateroom tour planned on that one, not to mention all of the super cool tips and links. This cruise is going to be awesome! :cheer2: Thank you to everyone's participation and especially the hard work of all of the organizers!
