We will still get the rainforest spa pass as we LOVE that place. I did use it though to ensure booking at palo early (not really the shore excursions as we don't so most of those through Disney anymore). But with the Palo dinner it included a bottle of wine in the price as well.

So it seems I will be booking at 90-days for Palo... instead of 105 days. Do non-castaway members still book at 75-days? The whole tiered system has my head aching...

I haven't been to the rainforest spa yet, but have been dying to try it. I haven't had too much trouble booking Palo at the 90 day mark. Just have to know exactly when you want to go and have back ups.

Hi, Dave.

When you book your excursions through DCL depends on your tier level. I am going to assume that you and those traveling with you are not Castaway CLub members, (never cruised with Disney before) so you will be able to book 75 days before the cruise, provided that you are paid in full. So, if my math is correct, you will be able to book beginning August 6th. However, that is the midnight East Coast Time. So, for us Californians, we can book at 9:00 pm August 5th. But since I am Silver Level, I will be booking at 9:00 pm on July 24th.

For Silver (1-5 Cruises), it's 90 days, Gold (6-10 Cruises), I believe is 105 days, and Platinum (10+ Cruises)/Suites are 120 days.

I have one more cruise before I move up to Gold. That will be this cruise. Can't wait.

She's here! I'm still trying to get used to having a newborn in the house. I assume it takes more than 2 1/2 weeks, right? Anyhow, miss Isabelle Faye was born 12/17/09 at 6:44 pm. Mind you, they started my induction around 11 pm on 12/15/09. Longest labor ever. But totally worth it!

Isabelle Faye was 7 pounds, 4 ounces and 19 inches long. She did NOT want to come out! But after a long wait, it is truly wonderful having her here. Even when she wakes me up at 3 am. And again at 5. And then once more at 7. lol

Erica, my old "cabin mate!" I'm not on this cruise, but I started missing a Zweihund TR, so I searched for you, and LOOKIE THERE! Miss Isabella is so adorable! Congratulations to you and Lionel! We're cruising in Oct too - Just another "gasp" cruiseline. I'll be cruising with Walt & Di Apr 2011 though. Small DIS world! Congrats again! (looks like she's keepin' you busy!)

About a month ago I noticed that there were only Verandah Category 4 available - none of the other categories appeared available.

I'm looking at an island ATV tour at St. Maarten. You ride over to Orient Beach and hang out then ride back. It's only about $70.00 US and they pick you up at the dock and take you to the ATV's. On our last cruise Anjelica chartered a boat for us and we went snorkeling and to Sting Ray City in Grand Cayman. It was only about $50.00 per person and it was a fun day.

Hey Rus - anyone else going on the ATV tour with you? I might be interested in doing this and possibly taking Sydney with us. I know sometimes they have double rider ATV's and allow children 7 and up to ride with parent/guardian. Do you have a tour operator in mind?

Just checked the web site and there are cat 5 and 4 stateroom available but for Adults only. If you add a child there are no rooms avaliable. This means that they have reached the limit on the number of children the clubs can manage. For those who still desire to add family members I am sending a little pixie dust your way! Lois

Well, Dave, that depends on how active you plan on being. My loose plans right now are to get to boat and enjoy the sail-away party. Then kick back for a couple of days enjoying the ship and the activities. It's just really too bad that we can't be in two places at the same time.

I plan to book our Palo brunch, tea and dinner online, as with the excursions and spa treatments. Right now, the only excursioin that is a definite, is my huband SCUBA diving in St. Thomas. So, I will be at loose end until I decide what I want to do that day. Maybe I will hang with you all.

I have never been on a 7-day cruise before nor have I been to the Caribbean, so I am having fun do just a little research.

Some one posted really nice navigators for the Eastern Caribbean. I will see if I can post the link here so that folks can get an idea as to what some of the activities will be.

We are right now trying to decide what to do for the FE exchange. That was a lot of fun the last couple of times that I have participated. It's really fun trying to deliver the gifts without getting caught.

Something else we may want to think about as a group and that is having a private Palo dinner. I believe that the private room holds somewhere in the neighborhood of 14-18 folks. Just something to think about.

I don't know what else to tell you. But, I am always willing to answer any questions if I can. So bring them on, because it's time to GET THIS PARTY STARTED!
