So I just bought our DW passes today and I'm so stinking excited!!!:cool1: I was over hangin out on the resort board and I found out about this program Disney has called Disney youth series. Anyway if you sign your child up for an educational program that lasts 3 hours your family gets this CRAZY discount. So my DS is signed up for Ocean Discoveries in Epcot which he's really excited about. I had to do the calculation and the price is 52% of what these tickets would have cost me!:cheer2: Anyway I had to share my excitement with everyone:banana::banana::banana:

sweet deal!:thumbsup2

we're going to WDW in july so we're going to get annual passes then. we can use them 4 days around the cruise in Oct, then we'll go sometime before next July so we'll get our money out of them.:rotfl::thumbsup2

There are so many links---and pages to this thread...that I'm really late coming in....

We are booked on the October 22-29, 2011 Disney Magic--A family of 3 (although we are really a family of 5)...My husband, myself and my 25 year old daughter.
This is my husband & I's second time on the Disney Magic. We sailed during their inaugural year.

We are sailing with some wonderful friends--we we actually met on a cruise in the Mediterranean (2007)!! We cruised again with them to Mexico (2008)--and decided to cruise together once again this year-- on the Disney Cruise. They have two great kids coming along for our fun adventure. :) :yay:

We ladies are BIG Disney fans (my friend used to work at Disneyland)--and I've traveled to all the Disney parks world wide, except to Hong Kong (that's next on my queue!).

We all are from California--my husband and I from near Stanford Univ area (Nor Cal)--our friends from the So Cal area (near our favorite park--Disneyland!!).

And--we're excited for the countdown to our trip (after my husband and I take a nice long week to sleep on the beach in Belize next month). :)

HEY WELCOME!!!:wizard:
i'm Mike aka Underdog and will be cruising with my lovely bride of 36 years Robin aka Tart Annihilator. This will be our 7th Disney cruise!:wizard::woohoo:
jump right in!!:cheer2::dance3:

Just checked flight prices again and if they hold steady for the next 2 weeks it looks like we will be heading home after the cruise. There's a $100 price difference between the two day.:sad2:

No prob Becky... here's the link http://www.disneyyouth.com/ and then got to education. They have an individual enrollment and that's the one you want. When browsing they only show you prices for up to 5 days but you can purchase up to 8 once you register. Pretty nice huh:thumbsup2

Welcome!! I'm Nancy and crusing with DH Chuck (Charlie Tuna) on our 4th cruise on the Magic. Hope to see you posting with us. We have only 6 more months!!!:dance3::dance3:

Thanks for the warm welcome!

We are very excited to cruise on this adventure! Our 25 year old is VERY excited as this is her first cruise. She has Down syndrome--and has asked us for years to take her on the Disney Cruise---but it has just never happened (when we went the first time--we went sans children!).

My concern that because she has special needs, she'll still want to be part of many of the 'youthful activities'---even though she is an adult. It will be interesting to say the least. I'll have to help keep the 'fine line' strong---and help her transition to what activities are appropriate for her (course, she might completely surprise me and ONLY want to do adult fun!) :confused3

We shall see.

Either way---I'm excited to find out! And heck, I've been dragging her to Disney Parks all over since she was an infant---she'll be fine...:);)
(and--now you all will know who we are when you see us on the ship. A very short lady with her adult daughter with Down syndrome--who has red hair--. Be sure to say 'hello'!)

Welcome aboard. I too have a daughter that is special needs,18. She's considered high functioning developmentally disabled, but she is very "young" for her age. She said if your daughter would love to have a buddy on board and hang out at the adult pool or in the adult clubs she would love too. Of course the shows too! Her name is Sarah, and I am mom Becky traveling with DH Sean We live in the central valley, small world.

Still waiting for Disney to post dates for MNSSHP! Does anyone have recommendations for rooms/condos that sleep six? We are staying 2 more nights in Florida after the cruise, and we are hoping to see Blue Man Group & do the Halloween party in Magic Kingdom.

Tuesday, Oct 18th
Thursday, Oct 20th
Friday, Oct 21st
Sunday, Oct 30th
Monday, Oct 31st

Well my goodness, it IS a small world (funny--I met my neighbor just down the street via Cruise Critic --and the people we are cruising with on this trip via CC as well. Gotta love the internet/message boards!!).

I will tell Kendall about Sarah! :)
We are traveling with friends who have kids, but they'll be off doing their kid things (and really, Kendall doesn't want to be with them all day long). Having an adult friend on board will give both Kendall and Sarah some time to do the adult things the ship has to offer!! I'll talk to Kendall today when she gets home from work. :)
I am SO glad I mentioned that Kendall has DS! (and Kendall is also on the higher functioning end as well. Her speech is just very delayed...but she makes her needs/wants known very well).

And--Happy Birthday to Sarah! She's officially an adult today!
(Kendall's birthday May 3rd).
