What is the website for the web cam. I am in Dallas with daughter Erika who is recovering from a tonsillectomy. I don't have the site here on this little computer. Thanks Mike for reminding me about the site.:banana:

oh no! hope she feels better !:flower3:

robin and i watched!!:sail:

cant wait till Sept when the Magic gets back so we can watch it every week!:sail:

i think we're going to wake at 5 am the saturday before our cruise just to watch it return.:wizard::grouphug:

Today was the first time I had ever watched a ship leave the terminal besides when we were on it last year. Was a totaly diffferent experience and I loved it. :lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc

I checked the dates and September 24 is the big day for the Magic to return and I too am hoping to watch her depart every week in hopes it will make the time go by faster:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I wish we could watch her come into port but we are staying at Hyatt at airport    But will see her soon after that :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Can't wait to be sailing...pirate: :sail: pirate: :sail: pirate: :sail:

Thanks for the welcome everyone
I'm glad to hear that we have guidelines. I don't feel so guilty breaking them then.

I am counting the days and getting the suitcase ready:laundy:

I actually watched, via webcam, the Wonder when she left Canaveral for the last time. That was when we found out that the Dream's horn can play the 2nd line of When You Wish Upon a Star, since she answered the Wonder after she blew her horn in salute. I was crying my eyes out  I'm sure the Fantasy will do the same thing for the Magic, when she leaves for NY next year. It won't be as sad since she will be back to Canaveral occasionally.

I LOVE the Hyatt at the airport!!! :cloud9: Seriously, it's one of my all-time favorite hotels. The rooms are beautiful and if you get a room that looks out to the runway, you can watch the planes takeoff and land. :woohoo:

I agree with the Hyatt at the airport Kathy. It was absolutely awesome. We had a courtyard view and it was fun watching all the people coming and going. I believe we had the same room after our cruise but then we watched all the planes take off before "Wilma" hit. There is an area with couches that you can sit in and just watch. Loved it! :yay:

DISmeet over the phone!! Call us, we'll be up watching her come in too. Like you said last night, it'll be the last time she comes in before we're on her. :yay::yay::yay::yay:

Great opportunity for a little facetime on the iPhone. Robisa, will know what I'm talking about. ;)

I am counting the days and getting the suitcase ready:laundy:

We usually have a suitcase out in the spare bedroom by now too. I would be tossing things into it that I know I'm taking and won't be using till then. Not this year though. Too busy with kids and grandbabies. :cloud9:

My goal is Labor Day weekend though. The suitcase will be out and things will be tossed. :rotfl:

I've got my disney cruise bag holding some parley goodies, and then my WDW bag with my shorts and shirts in it. Sean and Sarah are on their own, I'm packing now!

...I've been an absentee from disboards for awhile, so I may have missed this info posted somewhere waaaaay back in the thread, but does anyone have any more information on our itinerary? dbf is REALLY hoping that there will be a Halloween party and costume contest and all that jazz, and the minute anyone can confirm that he will be whipping out his visa and buying some silly, wild costume off ebay, I'm sure of it!! :rotfl: So...any news in that area?

Also, I'm wondering if anyone has any packing tips that might help my wardrobe do "double duty": we are spending 4 days in NYC before we come to the Magic, and I would rather not have 2 full wardrobes of "cruise attire" and "city attire" if possible. ...any items you can suggest to pack that would be appropriate for both?:confused3

There has been a lot of questions on whether or not there will be a halloween party and we've gotten yes and no answers. I'm thinking no with the fact that the cruise ends on the 29th. You may want to call Dreams or DCL and confirm that. Now if he wants to get dressed up, many do for Pirate night.

As for packing. Skirts, capris, shorts do great double duty. Button up shirts or polos do great double duty day and night time. There are laundry facilities on board. Also realize more than likely you will be sitting in a bathing suit for most of the time. If you want to dress up on Formal night, you can go really formal or just bring a cocktail type skirt and 2 different tops, one for formal and one for semiformal/palo's if you are going. Maybe plan for the packing for a week and just do a load or two of laundry once you are on board. We are going to have to do this since we will be vacationing for 2 weeks total and I'm not hauling 14 days of day wear and night wear :)

First welcome!! I think there are several of us that are planning to do the 5K run. :) And I am thinking about the princess 1/2 marathon - trying to get an Achilles injury to heal now before I decide

Hey dog, let's not be greedy! The entry fees for the stargazing meet should be credited to MY off-shore bank account! Any additional gratuities would be very much appreciated!

Of course, I'm just kidding, as well. I can't speak for anyone else's meet-ups, but the stargazing event I am planning will be free to anyone who wants to attend. I am, hopefully, in the nearly-final stages of planning for this event and will be able to lock in the date/time/location details soon. It's taking me a little while to finalize because I'm trying to make this event a bit more informative, enlightening, and entertaining than just an impromptu gathering near the port-side deck chairs on Deck 11. I'm hoping to show DCL that an on-board activity such as this is something that their guests would enjoy and would like to see more of.

Well, that's my intention, anyway. More than likely, my attempt will crash and burn, and I will be horribly embarrassed and have to spend the remainder of the cruise hiding down in the cargo holds!
