Hey guys, I just popped on to see how everyone is.

Just a small (and slightly sad) update from us - we are down to 3! My DD, Rhiannon, has decided she is far too 'grown up' for a family holiday and will no longer be coming with us :sad2: That leaves me, DH Gary and DS Daniel. Obviously, we still have the rest of our party - Natalie and her 2 children and Tony and Theresa - so it's not entirely sad. She will be missed though - particularly as our planned night out at Jellyrolls will probably be off since we no longer have a babysitter

Hope you have all had a great Memorial weekend, whatever you did. Not long to go now :cool1:

Sorry to hear your daughter won't be joining you on the cruise but if it makes you feel any better, I had high hopes that my daughter and her family would be joining us too and it just wasn't meant to be. Instead, we're booking another cruise for 2012 and they will be going on that one with us. :)

As of right now, I'm planning to do the Castaway Cay 5K.

Anyone else thinking about it?

I'll gladly stand to the side and pass out the water to the runners. :lmao:

We are in for this cruise. Tara (35), DH Adam (36), DS Seth (7), DS Ryan (5). Will there be a fish extender organized for this cruise? We did this last May and really enjoyed it! Thanks for being so organized with this thread!

Tara

Welcome Tara and family!!!! I'm Nancy and cruising with DH Chuck. This will be our 4th Disney cruise. Becky is handling the FE game so she'll be answering your questions. :thumbsup2

I'll think about it, depends if I can get my bum in gear. This is the plan to lose at least 15 lbs this summer, hopefully 20 to 30 by cruise. I go back to the gym tomorrow. Zumba here I come. Looks like a treadmill will need to be in my future too.

Becky, I am hoping to lose at least 20lbs before the cruise too. I am following WW and have started doing Zumba 3 times a week. Have lost 12 lbs so far but still have another good 20 or so to go. We can do it girl :thumbsup2

I absolutely plan on it. In fact, at the point of the cruise, I will be about 6 weeks away from my first full marathon, so I will be running quite a bit that week.

I have lost a little over 40lbs in the last year, 20 of it in 2011, and want to lose another 20 or so by the cruise.

Moving Truck brings my stuff tomorrow :)

How are your plans coming along - are you planning any daft running/exercise stuff at Castaway Cay again in October ;)

The 5Kers are the first passengers off the ship at 8:30AM. I usually don't start drinking that early :rotfl:

We are probably going to jog the Promenade before the ship docks instead of participating in the island run from now on. The 5K island run on our March 2011 cruise was scheduled for 9:15AM, even though the ship docked at 8:30AM. It was much hotter by that time and it also really cut into the day’s activities. It looks like a later start time is the norm now. The last set of Eastern Caribbean navigators posted on wdwinfo.com (from March 2011) show the island 5K scheduled for 10:30AM and our October itinerary on the DCL site shows we don’t even dock until 9:45AM. We probably will be in the snorkeling lagoon by the time the island run starts. :goodvibes

You runners will need t-shirts. I suggest "Parley Pavement Pounders"! :goodvibes

Welcome!! My better half, Rich, his mom, and I are also on this cruise.

As a fellow Parleyer, you have an opportunity to help speed up the time between now and our embarkment date by doing the following once a day every day for the next 20 weeks: stand in the middle of a room and call out ‘Parley! Parley! Parley!’, then flap your arms like wings while turning in a circle twice.

Well, okay, probably no one else here actually does this except me, but Rich finds it really entertaining.

You might be suprised Wendy. :goodvibes

Thought about it and.....no thanks. I'll be at the bar if anyone wants me :rotfl:

I be hangin with you sista!

Oh yes! Count us in. Although, I confess, we are only light-weights... Rich decided we should try to “bar-hop” our way back to the ship at the end of the Castaway day on our last cruise, but all the bars closed (even the one we were sitting at!) before we could finish our first round - we obviously drink too slow. (So embarrassing!) :sad2:

That is awesome! :worship:

Except, you'll have to come up with the clip art for it now. :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

Then for the rest of us we can have t-shirts that say "Parley Pavement Poopers". :) Or......"Parley Poopers".

Nice meeting you Joh, Nancy, Char, Mike, and Wendy! This is my third DC, husband's first to the EC. We did the 5 day double dip over Memorial Day last year on the Wonder and loved it. Why would anyone not want two days on CC! We are in much need of a vacation...I just graduated from anesthesia school last Friday, I am studying to take my boards at the end of June, and then we will be packing to move back to Colorado from Kansas City where we moved for me to go to school.

Can I ask how you all came up with the slogan/logo? I always arrive late on the meet/greet threads and find the graphics people come up with pretty awesome. Our logo for the "Double Dip" was of Pirate Mickey eating a double scoop of ice cream.

I am pretty busy, but will try to get on every couple of days to stay in touch :)
