Anyone interested in a Fish Extender Gift Exchange?!
We loved the last one !

We are in on the Fish Extenders. My kids thought it was the greatest thing on our last cruise! Now that I've done it once I will much more organized!

Oh Goodie! We'll start a list for all who want to join...

1. Minniemousememories (2 state rooms)
2. Minniemousememories (2 state rooms)
3. Mom 3 mouseketeers

Anyone else in? Sign up to exchange a gift for each state room. Days to be assigned based on who signs up. PM me with your staterooms. More info to follow based on interest.

We're bouncebackers, too!

I can't wait. I wonder how many rooms they will reserve for the $99.00 bounceback?

This is the cuise I am thinking of switching to. Currently we are booked for Dec.10th but think we are going to change so we can be pretty sure that the water will be warm enough to enjoy on the beaches. Looks like a lot of bouncebacks, does that make for a more crowded ship or are they all about the same? This will be our first and I'm EXTREMELY excited!!! We have 3 boys that will be 11, 8 and 2 1/2 when we cruise. I would love to try the fish extender thing but have no real idea how to do it, if someone could explain who you buy for and who buys for you and so on?

We are booked with the bounceback offer!! We are a family of 5 from the Orlando area. We brought our 1 year old on the 7 night trip but he will be staying with Grandma when we bounceback. It will be my husband and myself along with our 7 (close to eight at the time we sail) year old son and 3 year old daughter (4 when we cruise in October). We can't wait....hoping for warmer weather. Our Feb '09 cruise was freezing from a Floridians perspective. CC day we were in sweatshirts and did not swim :-( Hoping for a much better CC day this time....hurricanes stay away. pirate:

Has anyone done the late dinner seating with kids? We had the main seating on our last cruise and while it worked out fine I felt that it cut our day short. The kids are up till between 10-11pm anyways, I figured they can always have a snack by the pool if they get hungry.
Since it's just a 3-day I'm trying to maximize all the time we have on the ship!

Me:hippie: , DH:surfweb: ,DS :earsboy: (9), DD ::MinnieMo (turns 8 on the cruise), DS:earsboy: (6)

Haven't done the late dinner before but after having first dining on the last cruise I can definitely appreciate doing the reverse. We are on second for this cruise and are looking forward to seeing a sunset perhaps!!!

You can look up info doing a search on the board for Fish Extender Gifts.
I am going to use the same directions as the last one that I participated in and am quoting them below:

GIFT EXCHANGE
HOW IT WORKS:
-Participants will get small gift for each cabin signed up (not including your own cabin).
-As we get closer to the departure date, PM minniemousememories your cabin room number/s and indicate which of those cabins will be giving gifts. (NOTE: if a group has more than one cabin, only required to give 1 gift for the entire group. However, if you want to give gifts for each cabin, please let minniemousememories know, so I can assign dates for gift distribution accordingly.)
-minniemousememories will write up a gift exchange list to distribute about a week prior to departure or at our DISMeet (are we having one?) with a list of cabins to deliver gifts to, as well as your assigned day to deliver the gifts. So that way, each day a gift or two will be waiting at your door. :wizard:
-Fish extenders not required, though if you want to make/bring one, by all means do! Many people have used a gift bag to hang outside the door and their fish.

If you want to sign up, let me know so that we can get a better idea on how many will be participating and how many gifts we will need to get together. It's so fun to sprinkle and be sprinkled with a little extra magic throughout the cruise! :wizard:

Hi, we had late dining. This worked out better for us, too. My kids had a snack around 4-5pm if needed.

On some nights I'll admit and just wanted dinner to be over. If the kids didn't want to stay, I let them go up to the kids club while we finished dinner.

Ok, we are booked and I would like to do the fish extender thing. Is there a page for that or how do I sign up for it and when will we know how many to get for and such?

I will periodically check on the board update the list. We can set a deadline of August 31 for last call to sign up so there is time to make sure we have enough gifts for everyone.
