10-21-12 Dream!!!

Another question: I got my 2 bedroom savannah view for the night before our cruise at jambo AK, but I haven't yet called MS to make any room requests. Arushka, close to lobby is what I'm thinking. Any other ideas?

sounds good to me......
how does it work with DVC? do you get to go into concierge? only if you're in a room on a particular floor? always? never?

does it cost more points?

There are a few concierge rooms, but it is a separate booking category, so you have to spend extra points to get one, and they're usually sold out close to the 11 month mark. We are just in a regular savannah view. I thought about wait listing concierge, but don't think we'd get much use out of the lounge.

that's true - you're there for such short a time, it's not worth it..

Congrats on your up coming wedding and honeymoon. My DH and I honeymooned at WDW and then took a 3 day disney cruise...That was back in May 2000!

I wanted to get married at disney but logistically it just didn't work out...BUT I plan to have a renewal and anniversary party there for one of our BIG anniversaries...so i'll get to do all the things I wanted to do at our wedding.

You're having your ceremony at the GF WP? Can you get married in the gardens behind the WP? I think there's a trelis overlooking the castle?? I'd love to do a small ceremony there when we do...then have a nice sitdown dinner in one of the smaller ballrooms at the GF.

Are you doing a theme? Since its disney? We still did a cinderella theme for our wedding even though we didn't have it at WDW.

Sounds like a nice honeymoon. Aw im sorry it didnt work out for you to get married in disney :-( . Hopefully you can have your vow renewal there. Yes im getting married at the WP. i dont think you can get married in the garden back there. i think its just for pictures but i guess you can always ask about that... Yeah we're doing a halloween theme since i love halloween. colors are purple and orange.. Very nice theme. Can never go wrong with Cinderella Theme

Halloween theme huh! AWESOME! I'd love to see pics! I love ANY theme...as long as it's carried out well thru the event...I think themes make events special

i talked to DD for an hour this morning - it was evening for her in vancouver (10 hours behind me)...
she was just off the radiance of the seas that morning..

she said the cruise was FANTASTIC!!!!!

she loved alaska and the cruise...she said the ship and crew were absolutely AMAZING!!!!!

i just downloaded a cool app onto my iphone...
it seems to be an official disney app and yet it's free!! (how surprising!!)

anyway, it's called "My Disney Experience" and looks to be really great for WDW, especially now that there's free wifi in the magic kingdom!! :thumbsup2

it's probably been around for a while, but i only heard about it now....

Finally tonight at midnight is my time to check in!

Are their any palo reservations available for a party of 3? (brunch or dinner?)

What is the earliest port arrival time left?

Palo brunch had 5 times available, palo dinner showed me 6 times, Remy offered 9 times, and port arrival showed all times available (earliest is 11-11:30), as of 5 minutes ago.

Have fun tonight!

It does seem empty!!

So, best dinner choice would be day 3. Second choice would be a late dinner on which night?

Brunch is only on day 3, right?

I am new to this forum, but I really wish I would have found this sooner! We've been booked since the beginning of February, and I've browsed around Cruise Critic since then but haven't found much. Anyway, SUPER excited about this cruise! I'll be traveling with my DH, DS (4), and DD (2). DH and I have cruised Carnival 3 times before but this will be our first Disney cruise. Anyway, I'll try to read through some of the older posts and catch up a bit. ;)

I think the 8:00 dinner actually works well for us. My plan is to sit at regular dinner with the kids, then drop them off to the club before our dinner. We'll get them out in time for fireworks.

I actually just bumped our Palo dinner back to 8:30, as I saw that the pirate party fr kids was from 7:45-8:05.
