How excited are ya'll that it is so close!!:jumping1: my DD and i were going through her suitcase last night!!! she is running out of room:rotfl2:!!!! so much stuff to pack for the cruise and 2 days in flordia whew!! My fe's are coming along!!

"See ya on the dream!"
Kristy:sail:

I am sooooo stinkin excited! :dance3: I haven't gotten any of my "work work" (ie. expense reports, editing pictures) done all week. I have been packing, planning outfits, and getting FEs together! What are you guys doing for the formal night? My travel agent said that since it is a shorter cruise that the "formal" night doesn't have to be formal attire. I think I will wear just a cute little dress and my hubby will wear khakis and a button down. Is your entire family dressing up for pirate night? I am so excited about that night! We are all dressing up! I took off of work on Friday so that I can do my final packing but I already have insomnia so I may have to actually sleep on Friday....:rotfl2: We fly out Saturday morning and are staying on Disney grounds Saturday night at Pop Century Hotel! My little girl will flip out when she actually sees where we are going. I have been trying to tell her that we are going see Mickey's House but I don't think she really understands..... She just turned 2 in June! OH.... and we are celebrating our 4 year wedding anniversary on the cruise! How excited!

HA HA HA HA That is TOO funny!!! But seriously, you could probably skip hanging out in Dr.'s offices and just send samples and info to DISers!!!!

I put our 2 photo mats in a large ziplock, wrote in pencil the boys' names and stateroom on the back, and labeled the colored sharpie pens with 'please return to' our stateroom number. I mean, if I get them back so be it - if not, I tried :) I'm also including two bags of candy as a thank you (one for each photo mat) I also wrote on the ziplock our stateroom and that all signatures were appreciated. You can ask for specific characters, princesses only, or classic characters only, etc. Leave it at guest services, and pick it up before you get off of the ship.

See what I mean? I've never even been on a cruise and I know this stuff... anxiety, your best friend and worst enemy :rotfl2:

PS love that we're all on here this morning - gotta run to church and you know I'll be praying for (among other things) smooth seas!!!!

Not sure if anyone answered...so, drop your photo mat at guest services with markers. They will return the last day of the trip....it just magically arrives in your room! Many people give candy for the staff who signs the items (Mickey, Minnie, Donald etc) :)

Also, little first aid kits are great FE.....just saying :thumbsup2

To Everyone who has the powerpoint I sent...

I accidently left off one child in room 7674 (quentina). If you open the document in Powerpoint you can add "Jolicia" 9 to that room. For those that I sent the PDF version today, yours should be corrected.

Also note that she was NOT omitted from the list here on the boards, it was just me missing her when typing up the document.

Thanks!

Scott

:)

So for the "formal" night.... Are you guys actually wearing a formal? :confused3 I was thinking I would just wear a cute dress but it isn't a "formal".....

Hubby and I are going pretty formal: he'll wear his suit and I'm wearing a tea gown. But our table mates are only going to dress up a little. I think you'll probably see a lot of both.

We too are getting formal - rented a tux for DH and I'm wearing a dress I usually reserve for plays or other 'fancy' events... of course, I'll be wearing silver flip flops with them, I know better than to wear heals on a ship!!

But before we decided to get all 'gussied up' DH was going to wear linen pants and button down shirt, and I was going to wear a dressier sundress.

IMHO I think it's all about how much you want to get into the spirit of things - if getting dressed up makes you go 'ugh' then don't! I think the complaints I've read here have mostly been reserved for people who almost willfully defy the 'standard' aka torn jeans and a wife beater. Personally, those who buck the system like that make me laugh - seriously, formal night on a cruise is your way of getting back at the man? Well, good for you :)

DS wakes up every morning now and says 'momma, daddy... guess what?' We of course say what and he yells with his fists pumped in the air 'WE'RE GOING ON A DISNEY CRUUUUUUUUIIIIISE!!!' Man I dig that kid and I totally need to video tape it tomorrow morning!!!

We will be at Pop century then too!!!

When and where are we meeting on the ship? Have we figured that out for sure yet??

we leave on thursday and are doing three days in the parks first!! can't wait! our bags are basically packed. We have a big party of family going so i hesitate to make a firm comittment to meeting, not that i wouldn't like to, i just know we have lots of surprises and scheduled fun that may prevent it. i have really been enjoying this thread. my family loves to tease me for my planning, crafting, organizing nuerosis. i am glad to have found so many others. you have given me validation, lol. my family and i lovingly reffer to you all as The Disney Crazies", and count ourselves amoung your numbers of course. so good to have fellow "crazies" to chew over important things like accordian files, pixie costumes and soft sided coolers with!
we have seven costumes and two pirate hats packed, that oughta do! we aren't so much going formal as we are festive, more like cocktail dress and suit. according to the usps my fe gift are waiting for us in florida, love that ship to the ship option! what else/ i have been so busy and felt like there was so much i wanted to weigh in on...

oh also wanted to ask has anyone calculated wether it's smarter to bring on wine and pay the corckage fee, or to buyt their wine package? thought that might save me a minute. i think it's the last thing we have to figure out. our van service from the parks is gonna stop and we plan to get cocktail fixins and water but need to think on the wine. i hate paying people to uncorl a bottle!

ummmmm, what else? to excited to sleep or think straight. too much swirling around in my scattered brain!

My three staterooms have combined our Fe stuff into little bundles for the kids. We were planning on delivering them all at once. That's okay, right? Do people normally do a little something every day? Do some groups choose times to make it spread across the whole trip? Our stuff isn't focused on any one particular theme, like pirate night for example, so we can deliver whenever. Do we choose a time at random? This is the first cruise anyone in my party has ever been on and i wanna make sure i know the deal.

In the past we have recieved and distributed FE gifts at random times. Do what is comfortable for you. On embarkation day FE are not put up until after luggage has been delivered and people have a little time to unpack and get their cabin organized. With that said from past experience it is best to wait at least until mid evening to do any FE deliveries on the first day.

I have officially purchased an accordian folder! My husband will think I am crazy when I whip that thing out at the airport......:rotfl2:

And I picked up my FE hanger today from my mom's house! It came out soooo cute! She made it for us!:thumbsup2

Please email me the FE list, I can't seem to print it. My email is wendyjwolf at yahoo dot com. This won't let me post it properly since I have less than 10 posts.... Thanks!

HA HA HA I found an accordian file in my office supplies and started sorting it by event - precruise hotel, flight, travel documents, cruise documents, FE, deck layout... I love that we're all such NUTS!!! My BFF suggested I start taking sleeping pills now or I'll be exhausted by the time we actually leave!!!

That is hilarious! :rotfl2: Every day my DH says, what are you working on this afternoon.... FEs again?!?!.... I must say though, they are coming out cute! I hope they still look cute after security goes through my luggage..... pirate:

I have everything in a pile but haven't started filing it yet. I really can't wait to see my DH face when I whip out a highlighter to start highlighting the things on the navigator that we want to do. He will seriously lose his mind. He is soooooo go with the flow and is ALWAYS late. I on the other hand like to know what will be going on next year and plan plan plan plan and I hate to be late.... Opposites attract!
