10/2/2011 Disney Dream 4nt

Hey all of you experienced Disney cruisers! I was wondering, how are the internet packages on the ship priced? I am addicted to the internet and can't imagine going the entire trip without it..... Not to mention, I am a photographer, on the side, so I take pictures galore and want to upload them for my friends and family to see!

Here is the link to the prices for the internet.

Thanks! Wow you would think that the internet service:surfweb: would be a little better. One person said that it "Stinks"..... Oh well.... :confused3

I use it on the cruise. I will tell you it is not the fastist. I would not play games on facebook but to check e mail and chat a little it is not bad. Also, I am hoping that since the Dream is a new ship it will have better internet.

Do you go to the internet cafe or do you bring your own laptop? I planned on bringing my computer....

Oh yes and iPads to. I have used the Internet cafe to and those computers are not bad either. They just love us at the airport taking it all out.

I find that the internet connection on board the Magic and Wonder is painfully S-L-O-W and EXPENSIVE. You may have better luck finding a wifi spot in Nassau somewhere.

To Everyone who has the powerpoint I sent...

I accidently left off one child in room 7674 (quentina). If you open the document in Powerpoint you can add "Jolicia" 9 to that room. For those that I sent the PDF version today, yours should be corrected.

Also note that she was NOT omitted from the list here on the boards, it was just me missing her when typing up the document.

Thanks!

Scott

I think we are all cruising with some really good poeple. Anxiety, keeping track of all the documents, file folders, this sounds just like ME!!!! LOL, I can't wait to meet all of you and have a laugh or two, and a good ole convo. We are very excited.

When is everyone delivering FE gifts?
When and where are we meeting? Will a photographer be there to take a pic of all of us?? That would be neat! See u all very soon!:grouphug:

Yea -- up to 10 posts and can now post the link for the Fish Extender spreadsheet!!!

Unfortunately, this doesn't include the new people, I just went off of the finalized list. So, if you're including new people in your distribution, you'll need to add them.

Also, if any of this information is incorrect, please let me know and I'll update it. Here's the link:

Thank you so much Michelle! That is awesome!

If anyone else wants a .ppt or .pdf....or .jpg...or whatever format you wish.. of the FE document I made, let me know by Tuesday. I actually begin the jouney Tuesday after work, so it will be more difficult to send it out at that point.

So you all know how crazy I am, here is my travel arrangement:

Tuesday night: Fly from DFW to Portland, OR where I go to my sisters.

Wednesday: Brooke (niece who is coming on the cruise) has school in the morning...I am going to try and see if the weather is clear enough to go up to Johnson Ridge and see Mt. St. Helens. Brooke is out of school at noon, gather her and her sister, Kylie...and we head back to the airport to fly back to DFW. Spend the night at my house here.

Thursday: Load up everyone to have breakfast with my Dad (their grandfather) then back to DFW Airport for an 11am flight to Orlando. Staying at the Hyatt at the airport that night.

Friday: Early DME to the resort where we begin doing the theme parks.

How crazy am I criss-crossing the country! Then keep in mind, I get to do it all over again in reverse to take the girls back to Portland after the trip is done!

My little girl has Tinkerbell, Cinderella, and Belle dress up outfits. Should I bring those for her to wear during the cruise? If so, when do you recommend she wear them? My plan is to pretty much stay in a bathing suit and cover up the entire time with the exception of dinner time. I was just wondering if there are a lot of kids that wear them to breakfast, etc.....

We're in the same boat (ha ha, literally) the boys have their swim trunks and rash guards, dress up clothes, and one or two outfits but that's about it. So we have plenty of room for the costumes they want to bring but not sure when they'd have a chance to wear them. Whenever they want? The Peter Pan costume is made out of fleece, so hopefully I can convince him to leave it home... but he's got a better chance of convincing me to sew him in a new one in cotton :)

I think I will bring them! I actually just purchased the Cinderella and Belle costume 2 days ago so I think I will pack them and secretly lay them on the bed as a surprise for her when we get back to the room one day!

So..... you sew?!?!? I am starting to learn how to sew! I made my little girl's outfit for pirate night and I also made her 2 cover ups for the cruise! How old are your boys? My little girl is 2! Can't wait to be on the boat with a nice cold fruity beverage in my hand!!

Ok, you HAVE to bring the dresses now - she will freak out to see her beautiful dresses waiting for her!! Oh, I can only imagine the look on her face!!

I'm glad you're getting into sewing, I love it - it's not only practical and useful, it's fun to play around and challenge yourself with different projects! Can't wait to see what you made for her!! Our boys are 4 and one week shy of 3 when we cruise. Are you planning to schedule nursery time, or is she eligible for Oceaneer's Club? My boys will be in the club :)

While the kids were playing today, my mind drifted off to what our first night will be like, and thought I'll be looking to drink whatever has an umbrella in it!!!

I was hoping that she would be potty trained by the time we went on the cruise but she is not quite there yet so I don't think she can go in the club. From what I understand, the club is for 3 and older but if they are younger and potty trained then they usually let them go in there if they don't have to many kids. I will ask once we are there if she can play for a little while but more than likely she will have to go to the nursery, if I even feel comfortable leaving her......

The "baby" has been potty trained since June, but we still plan on checking in on them every hour or two 1) to just take them to the potty, and 2) see if they're having fun or want to pal around with mom and dad. It's probably our favorite feature of the cruise - that checking on the kids doesn't mean date time is over! If they're happy and having fun, we'll just check on them again in another hour! Sure, I know they can page us but we like being able to see them in action and see what they're enjoying. I'm getting teary just thinking of the look of excitement on their faces to share their good times!!! Oh this week is going to be soooo long isn't it!!!

Can you see us now, comparing organizational notes and oohing and ahhing over the good tips and ideas for travel?!? :lmao: I'm with you, totally fun!

I thought I'd take turns with the boys delivering gifts and do it when the mood strikes :)

Was there some FB post about meeting? I had it in my head that 3pm in the Atrium? It's our first cruise, so not sure if that's a good place and time or not? Think asking them to take a pic is a great idea - saw one of a group meet on formal night, too.

I can barely settle down to sleep tonight!!!

Glad you both decided to bringthem. Kids are always walking around in princess dresses, peter pan, etc. They looks so cute.
