10/18 or 10/19

Will there be much of a difference in crowds for Friday 10/18 vs. Sat. 10/19? After no trips to DL in like 5 years, I finally made it there last month for one day, hopped back and forth and had a great time. I thought it was going to be packed, as it was Labor Day, but crowds seemed really light to me.

So I have an unexpected trip to the area and really want to see all the Halloween decorations, overlays, and fireworks. I can arrive earlier on the 18th, not rope drop but probably by 10:00 a.m. If I go the 19th, probably can't get there till noon.

Which day should I go? What's the must see Halloween stuff?

Both days will likely be slammed. I’d pick the day you can get there earlier.

Agree with the pp. UT's fall break starts on the 17th, so this weekend will be super crowded. Go with a good plan and have a great time.

Friday AM rope drop will be okay, you'll see the crowds really picking up from 11 to close.
