10/17 Wonder -- Are you sailing with us?!?

Just thought I would give everyone a report on the 10 day forecast for Nassau. Currently, for next Friday they're calling for partly cloudy, 20% chance of rain and a high of 87, low of 76. Saturday will only be a high of 86, otherwise everything else is the same. Let's keep our fingers crossed that this forecast holds up.

in case you haven't seen the other thread about 10/17, Coach got a complimentary upgrade to a suite, and is planning to have a DIS get together in his room so we can all check the suite out! Aren't we lucky?

That will probably be the only way we ever get to see one of the suites!

One week from today we set sail!:Pinkbounc !:Pinkbounc !:Pinkbounc !:Pinkbounc !

Has everyone at least started packing?

I've been packed for about a week and a half now. All ready to go!

We've got stuff in the suitcase but I need to go back through it this weekend. Also need to go through the cruise 'check list' to make sure we are not forgetting anything.:D

Well, I am officially on vacation starting today!!!!! I'm going to pack now - I leave tomorrow morning for WDW - MNSSHP tomorrow night.

:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

In case someone hasn't seen Coach's thread-

We have been invited to Coach's room right after the lifeboat drill. They were upgraded to a cat3 suite and have been gracious enough to ask all their DIS friends over! In case you haven't seen the other thread check out 'Party in Coach's Room' for the details. (Sorry I can't link to the thread)

The Wonder is leaving today for a 4 night cruise and I'll watch it from the Webcam.

The NEXT time it leaves port, I will be SEEING it leave from the railing on Deck 10!

see you all soon!

I suppose there have been lots of folks on our cruise that have already headed south. Can't believe that this time tomorrow I will be on my way to the airport! It is getting close now!!!:Pinkbounc

Welcome Home all you 10/17 cruisers. Hope you all had a safe trip home. I really enjoyed getting to meet some of you!!! Let's all keep in touch, and share the pictures from the DIS meet that Coach and his family so graciously hosted!

I never did meet up with any Dis people Just too short of a cruise and 2 much to do .But the weather was great !!!!!The cruise was great after 5 crowded hot days in the park .But 3 nights was just not enough but for $99. can't complain . Welcomeback to the real world . Letsall start planning the next cruise .

Welcome back to the real world all!

Hope everyone made it home safely. It was a WONDERful cruise and it left us wanting to go sooner than 2004!

prymsu & MickeyMagic- we will let you know when we get our pics together!

Let's go back right now!!! We woke up this morning to a layer of snow on the ground and it's still snowing. When we go to the bus stop this morning with our winter jackets on, we'll have to remember just 2 days ago we were sitting on the beach of Castaway Cay sweating in the heat!

We made it back last night about 7:30. Flights were oversold, so we volunteered to be bumped and to take a later flight home. Now we have 2 free roundtrip tickets we can use to get us to the cruise we booked while onboard the ship.
:bounce: :bounce:

Hoping everyone made it home uneventfully. The cruise was short but very, very fun!

A special "hi" to our tablemates!

Albiats - sorry we didn't run into you and your family on the cruise. Alysha was looking forward to meeting your granddaughters. How did they like their cruise?

Hi everyone! It was great meeting so many DISers at Coach's suite! Boy, his verandah was HUGE! Thanks again for having us visit! Pal2Pluto's dh is a riot! We were sitting at the table next to them the last night and he had me wondering why we didn't hitch up our ressies! We ended up eating with 3 other couples, one couple spoke only Japanese! IT would have been way more fun to talk with fellow DISers! Next time, I guess! Can't anyone else join us on our January 2nd Wonder cruise????
Ann

Ann and Cliff...........We went looking for you for b'fasst Sunday morning. We decided to not eat with our table mates and decided to go for Beach blanket buffet for the last time. I checked your room and it was already being cleaned.....and I didn't see you at Parrot Cay. So sorry we missed getting a chance to talk more rather than just make faces at you!!!

Mike, Susan, Amy and Chris...........LOVED talking with you each time we bumped into you! You are so nice....and Susan, what a singing voice:p ! I'm going to get pics developed tomorrow, and I'll get copies of Chucky and you out soon! We've thought of you often and smiled ;)

Gosh, it's cold here!!!!

To all you DISers that we met..... you have know idea what a great impression you made on my husband! He actually has been singing the praises of you all ever since he met you. Tonight, I got on the board and instead of him asking "what are you doing?" and being  , he just laughed and said, "well, I guess you'll be up a while! " Thanks!!!!

Hello everyone and to MickeyMagic. I had good intentions but not many of them worked out. Didn't get to make it to Coach's party or to the sail away party. I'm sorry also that they didn't get to meet up.

Lots of tension on Wednesday and Thursday. My DD and her family left Ohio to drive to Florida and they forgot their birth certificates! They called from the half way point on the Interstate and I casually asked if they had everything, including the birth certificates, and after checking with each other, they said 'Oh No!'. After more than 20 phone calls and almost four hours, I did get it resolved. We got their neighbor to go into their house and get them out of the file cabinet. Another person picked them up from him because he was leaving his house and she took them back to her house. I had to get a third person to pick them up from the second person and drive them to a FedEx agency about 20 miles away before 4pm. For about $70, they delivered them to my house Thursday morning before we could drive to the Port, but it was well after 2pm when we got there. We were running to try to get Palo's reservations for them, to eat lunch, find the cabins, and get to the safety drill.

With all the additional confusion, my new shoe bag carrier was left behind and my DW and I each had one pair of shoes for three days, the ones we wore onboard. We each bought a pair of sandals from Mickey's Mates but it wasn't the same as bringing your own. I had to wear my walking shoes with my dress pants to Triton's. I made lame jokes about it, like I think I'll change my shoes tonight, I'll wear them on the opposite foot.

Most of the family enjoyed all of the cruise, my adult DD and her DH were overly sensitive to the ship's motion and she spent a lot of time in the bathroom. I had a large bottle of Dramamine for them but apparently, it didn't work completely for them.

My two DGDs enjoyed the cruise, but only the youngest one went to the Lab once and only for a little more than an hour.

We thought the weather was great and the ocean didn't seem to be very choppy, but they were seasick Thursday evening and again on Saturday evening. They both ride everything at WDW, even the coasters but were bothered by the ship's motion.

They announced that there were more than 2700 guests onboard, that's the most I can remember ever hearing about. The pools were very crowded on Thursday and Friday and the Mickey Pool was almost impossible.

Overall, everyone said they enjoyed it. I know my DW and I did and we really needed even a short vacation.

P.S. - I'm about 165 miles north of Port Canaveral and we have a forecasted low of 65 degrees tonight. It's 73 degrees at Cocoa Beach and at WDW at 11pm. It looks like we're going to have that pesky dew on the car windows again tonight.

Albiats,
Sorry to hear about how your vacation started! How stressful! I'm glad you enjoyed it after all!

Pal2Pluto,
Tell your dh that I found him very charming!;) He seems like he would be a fun guy to hang around! Did you get your pictures developed yet??? We just got ours last night. If so, how did our picture turn out??? Cliff and I went to the 70's party Thursday night and he got picked to be a judge and lip sync to John Travolta's Staying Alive! Did you go to that? It was a riot! The rest of the cruise people kept coming up to him and saying "Hi, John!" Memories!!!
I can't believe that the balance on my Jan. 2nd cruise is due very soon. My 2 dd are very excited to get THEIR turn!
By the way, we had an early flight (11:30) so we did an early BB buffet breakfast and then got on the first bus out of there. Such a deary looking morning, wasn't it? I hope the next cruisers have the same nice weather we did! I was a little nervous about the possibility of stormy weather and lots of big waves but the cruise we took in April had crazier waves than this one. Guess we were lucky!!!!
Ann

I've got 4 rolls that I'm taking in today......I'll get a CD and send you your picture when I get them back. No, we didn't go to the 70's party. We went to barrel of laughs to see the dueling pianos.....they were good. We talked about going to the 70's, but dd Jessi was already alone in bed and that made me a bit uneasy. We'd been up since 3am and were exhausted!

Also can't wait to see Coach's wife's pic!!!! Susan was picked to sing with David Morgan and Chuckie in the early show!!! She did great! I'll send that to you, Mike, when I get it!

Was she the duck???? You know, the loud loud quacker?!?!?! That was so funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
