Albiats - sorry we didn't run into you and your family on the cruise. Alysha was looking forward to meeting your granddaughters. How did they like their cruise?
Hello everyone and to MickeyMagic. I had good intentions but not many of them worked out. Didn't get to make it to Coach's party or to the sail away party. I'm sorry also that they didn't get to meet up.
Lots of tension on Wednesday and Thursday. My DD and her family left Ohio to drive to Florida and they forgot their birth certificates! They called from the half way point on the Interstate and I casually asked if they had everything, including the birth certificates, and after checking with each other, they said 'Oh No!'. After more than 20 phone calls and almost four hours, I did get it resolved. We got their neighbor to go into their house and get them out of the file cabinet. Another person picked them up from him because he was leaving his house and she took them back to her house. I had to get a third person to pick them up from the second person and drive them to a FedEx agency about 20 miles away before 4pm. For about $70, they delivered them to my house Thursday morning before we could drive to the Port, but it was well after 2pm when we got there. We were running to try to get Palo's reservations for them, to eat lunch, find the cabins, and get to the safety drill.
With all the additional confusion, my new shoe bag carrier was left behind and my DW and I each had one pair of shoes for three days, the ones we wore onboard. We each bought a pair of sandals from Mickey's Mates but it wasn't the same as bringing your own. I had to wear my walking shoes with my dress pants to Triton's.

I made lame jokes about it, like I think I'll change my shoes tonight, I'll wear them on the opposite foot.
Most of the family enjoyed all of the cruise, my adult DD and her DH were overly sensitive to the ship's motion and she spent a lot of time in the bathroom. I had a large bottle of Dramamine for them but apparently, it didn't work completely for them.
My two DGDs enjoyed the cruise, but only the youngest one went to the Lab once and only for a little more than an hour.
We thought the weather was great and the ocean didn't seem to be very choppy, but they were seasick Thursday evening and again on Saturday evening. They both ride everything at WDW, even the coasters but were bothered by the ship's motion.
They announced that there were more than 2700 guests onboard, that's the most I can remember ever hearing about. The pools were very crowded on Thursday and Friday and the Mickey Pool was almost impossible.
Overall, everyone said they enjoyed it. I know my DW and I did and we really needed even a short vacation.
P.S. - I'm about 165 miles north of Port Canaveral and we have a forecasted low of 65 degrees tonight. It's 73 degrees at Cocoa Beach and at WDW at 11pm. It looks like we're going to have that pesky dew on the car windows again tonight.
