10/15/2011 - Taking the West by Magic!

I have seen Peter Pan and Captain Hook as well as Smee, but I don't think any of the other Lost Boys (why does that make me think of vampires with Keifer Sutherland, am I dating myself? :rotfl:) are on the ship.

I always think of that movie when I hear someone say the lost boys. :rotfl: :confused3

Alex and I were pretty happy this afternoon, our TA had our cruise packet!:wizard: We now have all our luggage tags, which is a little bit of a relief. I like knowing that they are here and ready to be used!
Now, I have to start thinking about how I'm going to pack....:scared1:
I know the dimensions of our carry on bags, and I measured a backpack I have, and it is a little bit bigger than the length limit.
Does anyone know if they are really strict on the size limit, or do you think Alex will be okay taking a backpack. (He is really set on having one just in case our bags don't arrive and we need our dinner clothes. Plus, he has a really nice camera that he doesn't want to check in his regular suitcase.)

You can take as many carry ons into the terminal that you wish, they just need to fit through an airport scanner (there are people who bring cases of water in a garbage bag through) so that's not a problem. You can also check as many bags as you like, you're fine, unlike the airlines, there's plenty of space for your stuff! :rotfl:

I think we might crash your tour b/c of the lil one- this way we will be done by nap time. Still waiting to hear what the rest of the family has to say.

And i am with you.... the lost boys always makes me think of that movie. Ahhh the 80's!

Crash away! Jillian will probably love keeping your little one occupied on the boat ride, she loves kids. :cutie:

Oh I LOVED the Lost Boys movie! HAHA! Thanks for the heads up. Those 3 are the three that I am hoping for! :thumbsup2

We still haven't booked our excursions. Still need to see if anything is left that the little one can even do.

A trip around the resort in my cart, movies with my best pals Chip'Dale and then fireworks - sounds like a perfect day! I was also reading about the carriages. Do you know if there are there lots of places to park the carts?
Sounds like you have a full night planned, but there is also the Electric Water Pageant floating by the Ft. Wilderness marina around 9:45 pm.

I wish tinkerbell was on the cruise...

That's a little longer that ours, it's their short cruise, so it's 8:30 to 10:45, we'll get back, look around a bit and probably be back on the ship for lunch!

Thanks for the info and that is in the plans too  I just read someones review of Ft. Wilderness and I highlighted all the stuff I wanted to do. I called about getting a cart and no problem even if I am not a guest there. Two weeks from today and I will be at WDW :yay::yay::yay:

Well, Captain Jack's not actually in Peter Pan though! But boy it would sure make it a "must watch" for a lot more women!!!! :lmao:

My wife and I just booked the 11am tour too. Looks like fun :)

Excellent! Should be a good time! I read a review that they were about 10 sea do's and 2 guides on a typical trip. Nice size group. Should be fun!

:simba:We just saw Lion King in 3D last night. Wow! I forgot how great the movie was, and the 3D made parts of the film even better! We are really getting in a Disney mood for this cruise!

Alex and I went and saw it 2 Saturdays ago. We were a little apprehensive, because we thought people would give us funny looks for two adults going to see a movie that's been out for 17+ yaers, but actually, the theater was packed with other adults.
And, I agree, the 3D parts were very cool. I especially liked how they did the Zazu flying scenes. :thumbsup2

Alex will be very happy to hear he can bring his backpack as a carry on.

I can't believe two weeks from now I'll be driving to Port Canaveral!

We're neighbors! Our cabins are 2135 and 2137.

:thumbsup2 yup but everything you bring on board - you carry with you where ever you go on the ship until your cabin becomes avail to you at 1:30 or so....

Dont worry to much about dressing for dinner on the first night - everyone knows that there are delays in getting luggage to the rooms. On our very first cruise we did not get our bags until after 8pm but on the 2nd one the luggage beat us to the room :rotfl:

Looks like this was a bust. I called the resort and they said it would be half the daily rate and they couldn't reserve anything, i would have to call the day of. Anyway if we decide to do a beach day we are going to cab it down to the royal palms and hang out there. I heard they have chairs, umbrella's and a pool for adults only. Food and booze too.

Cayley had given me this site and they allow under 3 to go to stingray- so we are now considering this. it was only 35 per person and baby is free!

Well dern - we just might stay close to the ship that day and enjoy the roaming around :rotfl:
