Hey Mary! Good luck with the move, hope all goes smoothly!

Yes Mary,
have a smooth and safe move. Say bye to Charleston, the beach at PCB is much nicer anyway ;)
Nevertheless we liked Charleston very much, but being able to visit both my sisters in one location is so much more convenient - That is, if you let me visit after snatching #2400 from you :earboy2:

I got my new -used- digicam I won on Ebay ten days ago
It's a Canon Ixus 330 with 2.1 Megapixels and a 3x optical zoom. And before xmas I also found an underwatercase for it. So now we'll be able to take pictures during our dive-excursions.
In two weeks we'll be diving at Shark Point, located east of P.H.U.K.E.T.

Eric and Anja have a safe flight and enjoy your holiday in Thailand. Take plenty of pictures and be prepared to burn a few Cd's or DVDs when you get back.

Mary all the best with the move to PCB. Hope that you have a smooth transition to the Floridian lifestyle again.

To all our fellow cruisers that have a cruise coming up shortly, may the seas be smooth, the meals delicious and the company of friends and family be the happiest time of your lives. Mike

Mary -- hope you find your kitty. Also hope that the move goes smoothly.

Doctor visit yesterday was fine but am now on yet another medication. The doctor seems to be pill happy. Off to the dentist this morning.

Fiona

Lost kitty :confused3 Must have missed that :sad2:
Good luck for finding Patches :wave2:

PixieDust to Fiona :wizard:

Arlene: I just ordered 4 tickets to Spamalot.....also known as Costalot! I did something I have NEVER done in the past and used a ticket broker. I figure that a cast like that won't be around for long and besides we're in a celebratory (I hope) mood. We'll be seeing the matinee next Saturday with my son who's in from LA and my younger daughter who will be taking the bus in from PA. Then we've got the film fest and party afterward. I hope I have my strength back by then.....right now every fiber in my body is aching. I think John and I will try to catch the Sunday matinee of AltarBoys since that one is a cheapie. We still haven't seen Wicked, but now that the Tony winning female lead is gone, we can catch that one whenever. Only 9 days away from my NYC bagel and coffee!
Ave: I hope you're feeling better. Enjoy all the pampering as long as you can get it!

Jeanne: I totally hope you guys enjoy it-I know Andy and I both did. Across the street from the theatre is Carmines. The food is served family style and is very good. Also down the street is Virgils. It is a barbeque place that is also very good. Both places take reservations and you can look them up on the internet to get their phone #'s if you're interested. How are your seats for the play? I'm so excited just knowing you guys are going to see it!!!!!Let me know how you think of the play?

Did you already get tickets for Alterboyz?

By the way..sad news(?)...Terry Schrivo has passed away. This is both sad but a blessing..Andy and I both feel that if the quality of life is not there then theres no use being kept alive. Though I do disagree with starving someone to death......

Hey everyone! I'm back!! My computer has been down since last week. Chris said that it has been hijacked and he's been working in the evenings to get it back up again.

Ok, I'm not sure I'll remember everything. But, here it goes:

Welcome to Florida Mary!!! And, I hope that you find your kitty!!! Ours used to hide behind the fridge and the stove.

Fiona, so sorry about your finger. I did something similar before, but it was with a pair of kitchen shears. Took a good slice out of my finger and still have the scar to prove it.

Ave, glad to hear that your surgery went well.

It's been nice and warm here in central Florida. We braved the Spring Break crowds last week and went to Disney at the last minute for 2 days. On the first day it had been raining in the AM, so it kept the crowds away. On the second day we spent the day at Epcot, which wasn't too crowded.

Well, I better get going. Madison is mad that the gate is up and she can't get into the office.

Happy Thursday to everyone!!!

The Jagers have made it to FL safe and sound, although they did not find thier lost kitty. They are over at thier "new" house unloading the truck.
We will probably all have dinner here tonight. Lots to do!
I'm still sore, taking it easy, but feeling fine otherwise. :goodvibes
Later, Avé

Yeah that the Jagers arrived safely. Poor kitty.

Jim and I agree with you, Arlene (and Andy). I think in the long run it is a blessing but hopefully they can come up with a better way.

Dentist was fine - don't need to go back til October and surprisingly enough my DS actually made his own appointment for September when he was there about 2 weeks ago.

It's raining here at the moment but is starting to warm up so I'm happy about that.

Back to work.

Fiona

That whole Terri Schiavo thing is in the town right next to St. Petersburg. So, it's been all over the news since I moved here 7 years ago. And, ever since I heard the story, I made sure that both Chris and my mom were here to hear me say that I did not want to live that way. And, Chris and I are getting ready to meet with a lawyer to discuss a will and living will for both of us.

When they came on TV with breaking news this morning to say that she had passed away. I said a small prayer for Terri that this long battle is over and that she's in a better place now. I don't know that I agreed completely with either side of this legal battle, but I am glad that it's over. But, the way that they are talking, it's not really over yet.

Oh well, peace be with Terri, her family and her husband.

Amy,
even though Pinella's Park is not the next city for us, her death was the leading topic on all prime time newscasts over here , too ;) In Germany it wouldn't have been possible to remove the feeding tube, but the Schiavo-case made big waves here and started a lot of discussions. In Switzerland for example people can even have an assisted suicide when they're terminally ill, and I thhink the Netherlands have a similar procedure.
IMHO -and Anja's too- she's better off now, but we both despise the way people of both sides behaved in connection with the case :sad2:
And both of us and all our close relatives share the opinion that in a case like this, the medical personnel wouldn't be allowed to use any life-extending measures for any of us in a case like this. So fortunatrely we don't have to go to a lawyer. Also everybody in the family has Organ Donor's Cards and is in the National databas for Bone Marrow Donators. My little niece had leukemia at age 5, needed two chemos, and so we all became very aware of all the related problems. BTW Julia is nearly 19 now and of perfect health :flower:

Arlene: Our seats are merely OK. We couldn't get 4 together so we have 2 in the balcony and 2 in the orchestra towards the side. I could have gotten better, but I absolutely refuse to pay upwards of $400 for a single ticket! I will definitely check out the places you mentioned. What time do you think we'll get out of the theatre if the show starts at 2pm? I don't know if Adam has to be at the premiere early to do anything, but we probably won't have a whole lot of time for a leisurely dinner. Whenever we're in a big hurry we eat at the "Ho House"....it's actually Chef Ho's Dumpling House, but my kids have always gotten a charge out of calling it that. It's fast and it's good since we also have a problem finding decent Chinese food in Raleigh. I don't remember the exact street but it's right near Times Square. I haven't gotten the tickets for Altar Boys yet....that will be my next project.

Saving us from dropping off page 1 pirate:

My Hero!

Well, Steve is back to work today! We had 2 days of nearly 80 degrees, and got the garage picked up, put the patio furniture back out and the winter things put away. Connor is back to normal as the bug only lasted 24 hours. I, however, am not feeling so well today. I think I may have a touch of whatever he had. :sad2: I was going to get the inside of the house all picked up, cleaned up and scrubbed up for the weekend, but it may have to wait now.... Wishing you all a great weekend! TGIF!!!

Thanks for saving us Eric from dropping off the page. Sorry to hear about your computer being hijacked Amy.

Good to know that the Jagers are home in PCB again and all are safe except the kitty. It is pouring down rain here this morning. Just about all of the trees have budded out and I am going to have to get my son to cut the grass when it dries out.

Mike
