We didn't get to see Survivor last night since College Basketball was on. :(
Glad to see that Angie went. I was another who didn't like to see her top fuzzed out and that black thing that might have been a bikini bottom or underwear as Mary pointed out. :scared1:

Reneé

Jeanne--- What wonderful news about your son's film. Makes a parent proud.

Mary--- Hope all goes well with the house sale.

I was sorry to see Angie go, I thought she was a strong player. My favorites are Ian and Tom.

We are leaving Sat to go back out to DS#2 college for his Presidental Scholar award ceremony. Of course the Pittsburgh area is calling for cold weather and snow flurries.

We are going to WDW in May. I finally made reservations at OKW. The deal breaker was the $49/one way on Southwest. It is the first time we have been back to DVC in 4 years. Previously used all my points on cruises. This will be a family trip.

TGIF

Nancy

Nancy: Congratulations on YOUR son....being a Presidential Scholar is quite an accomplishment! Exactly when are you going to DVC? We still have our celebratory trip to the Poly to plan. If we don't do it in May, we might have to postpone it until the late fall. The way my kids keep encouraging us to "go" while they will be home, makes me even more inclined NOT to leave them alone. What can I say....they got the "party" gene from me. I know what I would have done at their age and I'm not about to let it happen!
Mary: sounds like you may have one of those "Federated" (or "Federal", something like that) electrical panels. I had the same situation in NJ when we sold our house there. Apparently, they're not safe. We had to get it replaced and I think it cost about $600-700. It was alot of money, but was one of those things that HAD to be done since it was a hazard. If that's what it is, every inspector will point it out and so it will have to be remedied no matter what.

was the $49/one way on Southwest

Just thought that I would chip in that we've been 'monitoring' the costs of airfares lately because of the recent failure of one of our discount airlines... they stranded some 17,000 passengers all over the place. There's also been a 50% increase in most fares by the other airlines.

We can get two round trip tickets from Buffalo to Orlando (BUF-MCO-BUF) with Southwest for $230.40USD with their current seat sale on.

Air Canada, our somewhat tarnished "national" airline (who has just recently emerged from their own bankruptcy), would be willing to fly us from our local airport round trip (YYZ-MCO-YYZ) on the same days but at much more inconvenient times for a mere $1,880.50CAD.

Buffalo is about a two hour drive from us and to convert USD to CAD, just add 20%.

The Big Question of the Day is: What airfare would you opt for? Seems that the Nationalists can't understand why a lot of people won't support Air Canada. :)

Jim.

Hi!

Just testing out my new signature and countdown. Spent so much time on it, now I gotta run.

Whaddya think?

Rosemary - like your new signature and it does suit you. Wish we could have the old ones back though. Time doesn't pass very quickly on the new ones.

:jumping1: HORRAY :jumping1:

The sale will go through! The electrical problem is a simple fix, one of the breakers has to be replaced, and a few electrical boxes in the attic have to be covered. The electrical guy comes on Tuesday, to fix the problem. We close on 3/30 and then head to PANAMA CITY BEACH!

Jim,
AirCanada must be so expensive - They somehow have to pay for my company's services :rotfl2:
I also try to buy patriotic as often as I can, but there are certain limits to it. Within Germany I usually fly Lufthansa, our flag carrier. But across the Great Pond I usually take American carriers as I'm not willing to pay 50% to 100% more, or switch planes in Paris, Madrid or London when using French, Spanish or British airlines. BTW patriotic means European for me.

The newest Edition of The List is in your mailboxes - Check it out.

Congratulations to Rosemary on the new signature and especially to Mary and family on the sale of the house. Hope that your move goes well and that you and Ave have many happy times together.

Eric hope that Gramps is ok and it was good to hear that it was just fluid and not a tumor. :flower3: Mike

Mary , Congrats. on the house sale. Hope Florida is getting ready for you two to be neighbors. Personally I would love to live in that neighborhood.

Mike, Did you guys feel the earthquake today in Tennessee ??

Bye, Kim

Eric -- Thanks for the new list and all the hard work you put into keeping us current. Love the Mickey bunny!

Just noticed on the the list that PoohNate's email address is jdmccomb, etc. McComb is my maiden name. You don't see that name very often. Wonder if we are distant relatives.

Renee' -- Survivor was on Wednesday this past week because of the basketball. It will be on Wednesday next week also which present a problem for me because it will be on at the same time as Lost which probably ties with Survivor as my favorite tv program. Lost was a rerun last week which was great. Now I am hoping that it will be another rerun next week.

Mary -- Congratulations on the sale of your house. :bounce: :bounce:

Nancy -- Congratulations on the Presidential Scholar in your house. What an honor! :cool1: :cool1:

Congratulations, Mary......now that's what I call a QUICK closing! WOW!!!!! I'm also glad you didn't have to replace the entire electrical box. It sounds like your problem was a much simpler one. Have you starting packing yet? I've been doing it for 6 minths and still feel like I'm not even half finished.

Congratulations Mary on the sale of your house.

Eric--- Thanks for the updated list. For some reason the graphics won't come through (there is always a popup screen that says unable to load graphic conversion chart, whatever that means) so I never get to see the art work.

Jeanne-- We are going 5/14-5/21. Spending first night at all stars and then OKW. Norm and the boys are golfing, John could make a foursome. You can rescue us from a week with our children and their friends. Do you have an AP as the AP hotel rates our out up to 7/4/05? Might save you some money at the Poly.

Jim--- No wonder Air Canada has financial problems. We always fly either SWA or Airtran for our trips to FL. Get great rates and fly non stop. I prefer Airtran since you can go in 24 hours ahead and pick your seat, but this time SWA was cheaper. I heard that soon SWA is going to be switching from A,B, C tickets to seat assignment. That will be a big improvement. Also my grocery store was having a special 10 for $10 on hamburger helper if you are still low.

Rosemary--- Like your new signature. I can't figure out how to do them.

Off to bed for me as we are leaving early for Pittsburgh. Thanks for all the congratulations for my son. I will be sure to take pictures as it may never happen again.

Nancy

No Bette just the normal blasting for road construction.

Kathy and I just got home from having a sleep study done last night at Summit Medical Center. We have not been rechecked since we were diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea. In my case that has been 16 years and Kathy about 10.

Congratulations on the scholar Nancy and Norm. Enjoy your trip to the world and have a great vacation.

Cathy has not been able to log on from work due to the board installing keystroke software that keeps track of all computer usage and where the person has been on the computer.

Mike

Mike, Steve had surgery a few years ago to help with sleep apnea. He no longer has his uvula and they reduced the size of his soft palate. Helped with the snoring, that's for sure!

Well, off to get ready for the day! We are having our neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt and then an early dinner with friends! I wish you all a great day! It's the LAST DAY OF WINTER!!!! Come on Spring!! :jumping1:

Hi Pete,
good to see you posting again

We had a little setback weatherwise today: Just 15°C/59°F, overcast skies and intermittent rain, but next week it will be better again. We already have lots of flowers blossoming, but the trees haven't started to grow leaves yet.
If it stays dry tomorrow, we'll start this year's outdoor running season - If not we'll be going to the gym running on the treadmill.

Mike,
are you takling about apnoe? Do you have to sleep with one of those machines supporting your breathing?
Another question: Are those keystroke supervision tools legal in the USA? Over here they aren't - Only if there is an agreement between works council and employer some things can be supervised. Or if there is a suspicion that there is something criminal going on you may get a judge's approval to do that.

Nancy posted about not being able to see the Easter Mickeys on the new List. Anybody else having the same problem? Please give me some feedback.
BTW,
does anybody NEED the Word-file, or would everybody be OK with the PDF?
With the PDF there shouldn't be any problems.
