Great news (At least for me :teeth:):
I can keep my AOL!!! They state on their homepage that their DSL only works in connection with German Telecom. But when I called them today to cancel my account I was informed that the have a special tariff for people using a different phone-company- They simply don't advertise it. I get AOL for €2.49 a month now - with full DSL. I just have to change some of my computer's settings to make sure that I use AOL 'riding' on my new provider's line, and that's it. This rids me of all the work it would have been informing everyone about a new adress, I can keep my buddy-list, my iTunes-account, etc :cool1: :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :jumping4:

Eric--- I know what you mean about keeping your aol. When I went to high speed cable internet in the summer, I wanted to make sure I could keep aol. However, in the US it is $14.95/month. So you have a real bargain

I feel like I live in London as it has been very foggy for the past 5 days with drizzle and warmer temps. This weekend when the cold front comes in we finally get to see the sun along with colder weather.

Amazing Race wasn't so exciting this week. Jonothan and Victoria really deserve each other. I really don't like Hayden either. Kris and Jon remain my favorites, but am starting to like the wrestlers.

It's warm here today -- up to 13C (not sure of the conversion) but trust me it's a nice spring day temperature wise. Back to reality tomorrow though.

Didn't see all of Amazing Race but please don't let Jonathan and Victoria win!

Back to work. At least tomorrow is Friday!

Dan and Scott ... Boy do I wish we could trade places. ENJOY the nice weather and beautiful view you guys. AshLee wants to know how Fantasia is doing?

Know what you guys mean about the Christmas decorations ... last weekend we had that *&^*'d ice storm and were out of power so much I was afraid to leave the doors open too long and cool down the house to get the stuff of of the house and put away. Maybe after dinner tonite I'll give it a try cause we are in the middle of a warm spell ... 50 ish!

Weather is to go back to the teens this weekend ... Great just in time for us when we try and go to the Disney On Ice show saturday nite. At least Art has a 4 wheel drive truck so we'll get our Disney fix one way or the other!

Well back to work ...

Well, I've made a dent in getting the Christmas decorations down and put away. I've gotten the smaller Christmas tree in the dining room taken down and the main tree in the Living room is completely undecorated, I just can't seem to get it apart, so I have to wait for Chris to come home. All of the other inside decorations are down, just the outside needs to be done by Chris tonight. Then, we'll be done!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Thanks Eric. I can deal in both C and F measurements but have trouble converting between the two. I think it's because metric was introduced in Canada when I was around 12 so I've lived in both. We actually had "metric" classes in school the year it was introduced but no conversions were allowed.

Well have to get ready for work. It's Friday though!! :cool1:

I want to cruise and I want to cruise NOW!

Ok ... I feel a little better now. If I could just get my hands around that darned weatherman's neck. "A chance of a few isolated snow flurries!"

Cathy,
there's no bad weather, there's only wrong clothes :umbrella:
Take me: I drove with the top down today at 6°C/43°F :cool1: My NASCAR-jacket, a hat and my scarf, the heater set to 23°C/73°F and head onto the Autobahn :smooth:

All the hardware for my new internet-access and my WLAN arrived today. Tomorrow I'll set everything up and next weekend I'll start into the wireless age :earboy2:

DH did it again. In an attempt to "speed-up" our already fast computer, we have lost all kinds of data.
I'm thinking of tinkering under the hood of his Ford, to see if I can make it go faster.

I agree with Goofynut....I want to be on the Magic RIGHT NOW!

Later, Avé

Now Avé you know that men don't like anyone messing with their "toys"! That was a good one, though.

Sorry to gloat, but we just had 4 record-breaking days since the beginning of January.
Yesterday was 78 degrees (or about 26 C) which was the warmest we've had. The next warmest was 76 and the others were also in the 70's. Other than the fact that everything has started to bloom, I have no complaints whatsoever. However we are expecting a cold front to move in shortly and by next Thursday we may even see low temperatures in the teens! Isn't Mother Nature a hoot?!

On Wednesday, we had 58 degrees. It was gorgeous, except for the rain! On Thursday, we had sunshine (finally!), but it was only 10 degrees. How does it drop more than 40 degrees overnight?????

I really cannot stand the cold weather. I'm wishing there was some way I could afford a 4-day or something. But not right now.

I had surgery today. It was outpatient, elective, not really a big deal. But I'm kind of hurting tonite. I hoping it's better tomorrow. I've got pain pills, but not too sure if I want to take them. I can be very sensitive to narcotics. The nurse said one pill is like two vicadin--and I know how vicadin is!

So, I hope everyone is doing well. I really miss everybody!

Love, Marianne

Hey everyone! We're just back from the Magic Kingdom for today. The weather here in central FL went from a record high of 82 yesterday to cool, wet & rainy today. But, we went to Disney anyway. Let me tell you that the Magic Kingdom was empty. I haven't seen it that empty since during Hurricane Ivan. Anyway, we had a good time and found a new place to view the Wishes fireworks, from behind Cinderella Castle next to Mickey's Philharmagic. There were fireworks all around us. We're so used to watching them from the front, it was so cool to watch them from the back, because some go off from next to the castle and the rest go off from behind Small World. Anyway, it was fun.

Viking , that is what we have kept the Aol
and for Jenn And i like the internet explorer. with gateway home page

AVE arent u getting a new home ?
and u still want a cruise lol ME too.. Peter

made it thru another week of the 260 miles per day commute for work why I dont know .. better than collecting I guess, fun job once u get there..

we drive 130 in the am and the boss above me is complaining when we arrive at 7:15 instead of 7 AM

OMG Pete, that is a heck of a long commute everyday!

We have had a very busy week. Painting the house (inside and out) and cleaning up the yard. Our plan was to have the house ready to be put on the market by Monday, but it looks like we will have to push it back a week, as the guest bath is not finished yet.

Marianne...hope you are feeling better! Take the pain pills if you are in pain!!!!That's why they give them to you!

Ave, when is DH going to learn to STOP messing with your computer???

Maryanne, Hope you're feeling better today. :wizard:

Yes Peter, I am getting a new house. But we are still waiting for the paperwork to go through. Then we have to meet with the builder again, THEN the will start construction. The contract says they have 150 days to finish, so best case we will not be "in" the house until this summer.

Mini-Dis meet anyone? I'm getting our tickets to Washington, DC this weekend. We will be there from 6/18-6/25. :cool1:

DD now thinks we new a "new computer". :badpc: I tell her sorry, we will just have to have the old one fixed. But when we do get a new one, this one will be MINE. I didn't lose my address book, but I did lose my favorites list. :guilty:

DH went to work this morning, so I got up and made the kids homemade waffles! When I put them on the table DS says "but I wanted cereal". I made him eat the waffle. puckerup:
It's a beautiful day here in sunny FL. I'm taking the kids to the State Park in a little while. Then this afternoon I'm going to a co-workers house for a little get together. This is my last day off this month, so I want to enjoy it.

Later,
Avé

Anja and I have a sore butt: We did a spinning class on Thursday. For those of you who don't know spinning: It is a indoor cycling class on special race-bikes and very exhausting. We did it for the first time as we participate in a special training program at our gym right now: We had to do 16 workouts in three months, including six 'milestones' like aforementioned spinning. We did the 16 workouts in 20 days :earboy2: On Thurday we ran 5 miles, did an hour of The Pump (Weightlifting class) and then the spinning. As it was our very first time we didn't have those cushioned bikerpants nor a gel-filled seat-cover.
Now we feel like Billy Crystal in City Slickers and walk like John Wayne.
But as a reward for all that stress we got some protein-bars and free drinks at the fiteness-bar - And next week we'll get our finisher T-Shirts, saying '100% Fit' :cool1:

Eric Sorry about your pain In The ***.....

Sounds like fun LOL Peter

Yes, it is funny - But it still hurts :earboy2:
We took a day off from working out on Friday - after nine days of working out in a row, which was a new record for us. Additionally I had another shot at my doctor's, this time against Hepatitis A in preparation of our Thailand-trip. And my butt needed a break, too.

Commuting 260 miles each day sounds like a bad deal for me - and outright dangerous on the way home due to your being tires. Wouldn't it be safer in cheaper to stay in an affordable motel during the week and just commute on Friday and Monday?
