There are some who have booked and others who are talking about using David and Ivan in Costa Maya. Quite a few Disers have used them before and give them an excellent recommendation.

Another rainy dreary day
we just want to go out and play!
Oh well, I guess we'll plan the cruise!
See, there's really nothing to lose!

I just paid our cruise - with the Dollar as low against the Euro as it is right now this was even fun :joker:

Hello to the newbies

So dry and HOT!!!

Anyone else having trouble booking brunch and tea online?

Jeanne and Michele -- To answer your question of what could possibly fill up at 3 a.m., it definitely must have been Palo reservations. Fiona was up at 3:08 and couldn't get high tea. I went on line at 7:30 and no brunch reservations were available so I guess I will do the "stand in line thing" when we board and hope we get one then. I made a dinner ressie for Thursday night, but we really wanted brunch. I wonder what per cent of capacity they allow to be booked online.

Jean, keep trying for high tea, I just got one for monday 3pm. Still no luck with brunch and I started at 6:30. This is insane. Will there be anything left for the first time cruisers?

Actually, I think Fiona did get a High Tea reservation but then there were no more available after that, but apparently eye R.N. did get one just a little while ago so maybe I'll keep checking back for brunch. That has got to be the world's most confusing sentence!

Good booking morning, everyone!
I took the "no need to wake at 3 am" to heart and didn't set my alarm. When our dog came into our room this morning, I looked at the clock to see it was 4:09 am - so up I got..:Pinkbounc I was so surprised at how easy their system was to navigate to; however, the only options were "High Tea" for one day - didn't book it and "Dinner" - booked Thursday at 7:30 (options were every half hour until 8:00).
I wonder if they are not putting brunch out there yet, as I am sure they could not be taken within an hour.
Have a wonderful Sunday.

Michele

Brunch was there at 3am, but was gone in no time. It was the 1st ressie I made and I got one for Monday. I couldn't believe how fast they went!

Last year, due to a TA issue, I wasn't able to book online at 90 days and booked on the ship. They had lots of slots open then and I was able to get mostly what I wanted for Palo. So don't worry too much. Just go there when you board and good luck :thumbsup2 .

We got Palo dinner for thursday, I think 6ish to go with our early dinner seating. Couldn't get brunch as I had computer issues and had to switch computers. All brunches available at 3am gone at 3:10am!

We got brunch for Thursday. Luckily it was midnight where I am when it came time to book.

(Unlike Cinderella's breakfast that I have had to get up at 4am to reserve...

I booked my Palo dinner this morning between 7 and 8am. I got the day I wanted, but had to compromise slightly on the time. I can't comment regarding Brunch and High Tea as we are not interested in doing either.

Who are all these people sailing with us that have stormed the reservation system? To book this early they would have to be Castaway Club members.
Hmmm....didn't Hieatt say he was traveling with a group of around 40 or so?
Maybe that's our answer.

I was up at 3am and I got Brunch on monday and Dinner on Tuesday with no problem. I also got our 2yr old booked in Flounders those two times and the other kids registered for the club. I even got another brunch for a fellow cruiser (we were going to brunch together) but the only time left was a half hour early so we will see if we can link them up and then it will free up one brunch time. I will try calling monday. I'll keep you guys posted if we can link it up and get rid of one!

I have to tell you now that 3am EDT was 9pm my time and so I snatched up all available ressies. If you want some I can send you a PM with the link to the respective ebay.pages :teeth: :lmao:

What an interesting way to make tip money :rotfl:

Welcome to all the newbies. Whew! There are quite a few. Even new to the DIS too! How wonderful.

Did everyone just book on a special rate or something? How did you find the DIS? I'm curious.

Seems like things are picking up as the date is gettin near.

DH and I have not made any ressies yet. We may decide soon and see what everyone's left.

Unfortunately, that is not the answer! My immediate family are the only past cruisers, and our CC status did not apply to the rest of our group! Even though it is not a great value, we booked the REAS package to get access to reservations at 105 days. I was able to pick up the brunch and dinner with no problem that way, although the Dolpin Encounter disappeared at about 103 days before I made a decision to book! The size of that excursion must be very small.

The only annoying thing about the 105 day access for the REAS package is that, because we have 4 kids, we are booked in 2 rooms: me and 2 kids in one, my wife and 2 kids in the other. I could only start making reservations early for myself and the two kids in my room, as that is the room the REAS package was booked under. Thus, couldn't have booked the Dolphin Encounter for all of us, which is mostly why I waited. For the spa and Palo, though, it didn't matter.

Also, our group shrunk some... we are now final at 32 people. Believe it or not, no fewer than 4 couples in our group got pregnant and are consequently had to cancel!!!
