Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone!

Question for past October cruisers: Since this cruise will be so close to Halloween, will there be any special Halloween-related activities onboard? Should DD12 bring her Disney costumes?

Come on, October! :cool1:

I, too, only drink on special occasions.....every day that I am alive is special and something to celebrate in my book! :goodvibes

Welcome Kathy and family! Glad to have you join us!

And just for the record, I enjoyed the cherry schnaps last time. I added it to champaigne as Eric suggested and it was delicious. But I guess the plum will be a suitable substitute!

OOPS,
did I bring Cherry Schnaps with the two Apples? I guess I had too many of the Sour Apples and forgot that fact :rotfl2: OK, so Cherry it will be!!!

Kath1210:
Last Cruisetoberfest was like 3 days earlier and there weren't any Halloween-decorations on the ship, but some cruisers may meet before or after the cruise to do MNSSHP at the World.

Never did MNSSHP. We might get to that. Haven't made any discussion here about any plans yet. We usually let that stuff go till late.

I'm a special occasion drinker too, :rotfl2: anytime there's a bottle of Berringer's White Zinfindel around is a special occasion!!

How does the sour apple taste in the champagne, may have a new favorite here :drinking1

Neither did we. Somehow I didn't see the sense in buying additional tickets for the parks when I already have Length-of-Stay-passes.

We've done MNSSHP for the last couple of years and loved it. We plan on doing it again this year. Enjoyed it much more than MVMCP actually although last year MNSSHP was really hot as it was still early October.

I will have to check out if the MNSSHP is going on the day we dock. If so, maybe we might have to add yet another day to our trip! Darn!!!

Hi everyone. I didn't realize this was the 10-14-06 trip thread! We are also booked on this cruise. My group consists of me (Shelly), hubby (Dave) and son (Kyle-13 at trip time). This is our first cruise and we are over the top excited. I now have to go and start at the beginning of the thread to catch up with everyon!

So perhaps we could do it together this year - That is, if you'll be at the World before the cruise. It would be great to do it on 10/10 as this is a) my birthday and b) we already have an appointment with the Tulis that day.

Welcome aboard, shelwoj

Not sure when we are going to fly down this year so am not sure if we are going to be there before the cruise or not. We are staying afterwards though -- so maybe we'll just have to do MNSSHP twice!!

Well now that we're onto the subject of alcohol I'll be happy to post! ;) I'm not much of a schnapp's drinker but if push comes to shove I can suck it up...literaly! :rotfl2: We will be arriving in Port Canaveral 2 days before cruise so I'd be happy to pick up a few more small bottles of liquor for the sail away party. Anyone have any requests?

Hey, Shelly! Nice to see you again. It took me a while to find this thread also. I meant to come over to your (smaller) thread and tell you, but you beat me to it. This seems like a great group, and this should be a fun cruise!

I thought I was going to start at the beginning of this thread but holy moly it is just too long! I'm really glad to have found this board it reminds me a lot of another group we belong to. We are avid campers and we get together with a group of people we met online first. From the banter back and forth here it is a LOT like that group! :thumbsup2

I sent an email to the cruisetoberfest account. I know I need to add more info but am just waiting to hear what else is needed.

Looking forward to meeting everyone and talking more here.

Shelly,
are you talking about the Great Lakes Pop Up Club?

Hello to the newbies! Just jump right in! Don't worry about reading all the other posts!

As for MNSSHP, I think the first one was the Sunday after we get back. I had thought about doing that as well, but we will HAVE to be back in Charleston Sunday night! The boys are going to be missing enough school as it is! We REALLLLLY enjoyed MNSSHP. We haven't done it since 2001. We had the first dinner ressies at Liberty Tree Tavern and our family got to ring the dinner bell and call everyone to dinner! It was GREAT!

Viking (sorry can't remember your name!) I was talking about GLPUC and I am amazed  to find someone here that knows about us. My husband does most (well all really) of the posting on there and we are Wojo. We have made some great lifelong friends there. I have been telling hubby about all of you and he is probably going to start coming here too. Especially when I told him you like to scuba dive (I have no desire to) and he wasn't going to go on an excursion because he would have had to go alone.

So is your screen name related to camping maybe?

Shelly,
I thought that my remark about GLPUC would make your jaw drop :rotfl2:
I have never heard of it before, but when I read your post the sixth sense behind my second face got into action and there it was ;)
Naaw, just pulling your leg: I googled your name and found that site and a post by your DH. BTW, in that post two sons are mentioned. But doing some quick math I came to the result that the older one must be 18 now - and at that age I also didn't go on vacation with my parents anymore ;)

Another thing:
I mailed you back inquiring about the missing info. I already got Kath210's full info, but would prefer not having to do two updates this weekend ;) But I also don't want to keep Kathy waiting any longer. So please reply ASAP.

Talking about camping,
since I switched my focus from motorcycles to convertibles about 10 years ago I haven't camped anymore. My name Viking derives from me being 5'11, blond (What's left of it ;) ), and blue-eyed. And as my real-world name is Eric, which is of Scandinavian origin that name came up naturally. Additionally I'm very fascinated by their culture and have visited some former viking sites in Denmark and Northern Germany.

Last but not least:
DW,several other cruisers in our group and I are scuba-divers. So Hubby could join us in Cozumel to blow some bubbles. As we're doing a combined snorkel/dive-excursion perhaps you may also want to come along.

Looking forward to your mail
Eric

Hmmm, getting to thinking...blowing bubbles in Cozumel. Might be interesting.
I was also thinking of the excursion that has some tree top adventure. Now that realy had me contemplating...

Lily,
you can make both: AFAIK the treetop-thing is in Costa Maya ;)
