I found a pair of shoes today! I NEVER thought to try Charleston Dept Store! I have only been in there once, and I now remember they carry a HUGE selection of shoes! THANK YOU for looking that up for me! Had I read my email this morning, I would have just went there. Instead, I ended up at the mall, only to find that not many stores carry the higher series. I found a pair at FinishLine. http://www.finishline.com/store/cat.../paramsearch.jsp&Nu=product_id&Ntk=ALL_FIELDS
They are the 970 series. A new shoe according to the sales lady. I wasn't thrilled with gray, but the pink makes it okay! Also, I am not thrilled with the mesh, but she assures me that it will keep my feet warm and dry. I have sprayed them with a waterproofer too. thanks to everyone for your help and ideas on shoes! We don't have a running store around here, just sports stores. I may have to look into one when I go back to my parents.

Steve went back to work today. Our neighbor is our doctor, so he called him in some drugs yesterday. His fever broke at about 1 this morning. I never had the fever...thank goodness. Either that, or I haven't been able to slow down enough to realize that I had one!

Jeez...

We were one post from getting booted to page two, not acceptable.

THIF !!! Have to run, I am trying to contact the NH Fish & Game dept to come and get a HUGE pheasant out of our shop that has taken to roosting in the rafters.

Bye, Kim

GREAT,

Now my mechanics are running around going Mmmmmm Sunday Dinner, YUK !!
Hope fish & Game comes soon.

Kim, I just LOVE your Mister Potato Head! He makes me smile everytime I see him! I might have to get one when I go to DTD in just 3 weeks! Does anyone need anything while I am there?

Going to be gone all day today. Steve has an eye appt at 9, then off to the school to help with The Fall Festival. Apparently, there are quite a few families in this area that don't celebrate Halloween, so they were not letting the kids come to school on the day that the others wore thier costumes and we had a Halloween party. This year, we are having Fall Festival instead! We will have corn shucking, candle dipping, blacksmith, bullet making, period cooking, old toys, corn cob jelly, old cars, old time games, and hay rides. Tney also asked the kids to dress up in old time clothes. It's turned into more of a pioneer day, the a fall festival.

Off to get ready for the day!
TGIF Ya'll!!!!

Kim no need to call game and fish commission, thanksgiving is coming up. Mike

Hello Everyone. We just got off of the Magic on 10/22. While on board we booked for next year on the 10/14 cruise. We like the idea of the double dip. This was our first Disney cruise and we loved it. We will be traveling with our children ages 18mos, 4 and 10 at the time we sail.

Heidi, Lee, Haley (9), Katie (3) and little Zachary (6mos) :)

Welcome Parks family!

I hope you had a Magic-al cruise! Was there much hurricane damage in the Caribbean?

Glad you found us. Keep watch for a post from Viking. He'll inform you how to get on the Cruisetoberfesters list.

Welcome Parks Family! Glad you enjoyed your cruise. This is the first Fall that we haven't cruised in the last 3 years. :guilty:
Oh well, less then a year away now!

Welcome Parksfamily5!

Was just looking at the restaurants board and ADR's can now be made up to 180 days in advance. Also CRT has gone to a credit card pay in advance restaurant after Feb 1/06 and it's going to be 2 TS if you have the dining plan. There's going to be a set menu and price and the price for breakfast is $31.99 for adults!!! It includes pictures but still.....

Back to work.

Fiona

Welcome Parks family! Glad to have you onboard!

Fiona: what restaurant is CRT? I'm racking my brain here and I can't figure it out!

Cinderella's Royal Table! Happy friday everyone. Lunch break at work, stopped by to catch up! D

Welcome Parks Family!! I am glad you had a great cruise! (I guess I am assuming you did since you rebooked on board!) Colton will be 11 when we cruise and Connor will be 9. Maybe Haley could hang with them...if boys aren't icky. :teeth:

I am guessing the Priority Seating (PS) have been replaced with Advanced Dinner Reservations? (ADR?) We still have no plans for dinner while we are in Orlando. I guess we better think about that tonight over dinner.

The Fall Festival was Okay. It started to sprinkle, so the old time car club left. The corn shucker was suppose to come with the blacksmith and he bailed on the event. :( Otherwise, the boys had a great time!

Has anyone ever heard of or delt with someone that has Dysgraphia? I am looking for advice as we "think" Connor my have this! The signs are all pointing that way. I had never heard of it before this week.

Have a good night!

sliding close to the second page! I wish everyone a great weekend! Steve's Mom and Dad are coming down for a visit tomorrow and staying until Monday. Have a few things to get done before then! Don't eat too much candy!

Hi everyone! Hope all is well. Learned a lesson today, got my first flaming and the ashes are still burning :duck: .....if anyone is looking for some entertainment (esp. nurses)don't forget popcorn, I decided to open my mouth and state an opinion on another cruisemeet board and got fried to a crisp. They all had a good time doing it. so I guess I provided some entertainment for the day. (Nov.12th cruisemeets) Please, if you do read it, just let it go. I'm not into debate boards. I'm moving on from that experience and won't let it get me down.
Bye for now and glad to be in my own Cruisetoberfest back yard :goodvibes "There's no place like home..."
Laura :)

Nevermind, she edited her original post. (wonder why???)
She wrote about reading the disboards online at work alot and when someone approaches, she clicks it off fast, not to get caught (she thinks its funny and cute). She also can't figure out why the IS dept. at the hospital took the dis webpage off their computers. Think maybe it was getting to be a problem???
She works in a "busy Nicu" and I didn't want all her readers to think that we ALL do that. I guess I'm just picturing anxious parents walking up behind her as they approach their critically ill newborn and see she's on an internet chat board. That's how I took it.
Oh well. I'll still stick by my opinions(didn't edit mine), just be keeping them to myself from here on. Whew. thanks for letting me vent folks. Here's hoping I didn't offend anyone over here, because I didn't mean to. Apparently, I have diarrhea of the mouth today. Anyone have Imodium????
Laura

Where've you been, Laura? At 3Ani? AFAIK it's a jerk-only-board :rotfl2:

No mail from ParksFamily so far.

Today was a big day here in Frankfurt: The Airbus A380 made its first landing on a 'real airport'. About 10,000 people gathered on the apron of the former US Airbase in the southern portion of Frankfurt International (The US AirForce just recently relocated all its operations to Ramstein Airbase) starting at 6am in the morning. Around 9am the Airbus touched down and was greeted with thundering applause. Tomorrow around 8am it will fly back to Toulouse/France, but not without circling Frankfurt once to greet everyone in the city.
Unfortunately both Anja and I had to work today, so we missed most of it, but I taped it and we'll watch it tomorrow.

Hi Eric! Very cool for the Frankfurt airport! So, they're all at Ramstein now? Is Bamberg still open? That was our home for 3 yrs.

I was on the Nov. 12, 2005 cruisemeet board and a post concerned me, so I made a comment (which I really can't defend now, since the OP edited her post and I didn't quote it in time, and made up a new story on a new post, making me look like the bad guy). Well, I got chewed up and spit out, misquoted, name-called, you name it. It's like the game "whisper down the lane". Each post added something I didn't say or didn't imply, making me out to be some kind of monster. It grows and grows. Hopefully, they'll find some other outsider to attack. Geesh! and these are the disboards.

Oh! I meant to tell you I had my first German speaking patient in a while. It was fun to chat with them. They were from Sulz. Very sweet!
Bye for now,
Laura :flower:

Hi Laura,

Don't take anything those type of people say to heart. I was torn apart on another cruise chat site for NO reason what so ever. I had never posted on that site nor posted anything about them here, it did not matter. People who act & post on chat sites in a rude, crude & nasty format do so with complete anonymity ( they think.......). I was devistated on what was said about me, and it took a bunch of super cruisetoberfest veterans & dear friends to " pick" me back up again.
Like you I occasionally lurk on other Diz chat groups, these are public so for cruisers to get up in arms about someone viewing a cruise chat that they are not on is really foolish.
I have learned now just to laugh at that "type" of poster and only post / chat here on the cruisetoberfest board where I know everyone will be respectful to a poster and to each other even if we disagree on a post or answer.

OK, Off that soapbox... Now, for those of you who were following the saga of the Pheasant that took up roosting in my lab, NH fish and game said to
"just irritate" the bird and eventually he will leave. They did not have any traps or any way to catch the bird. Well it took 24 hrs to get rid of it, let me tell you , wet sponges , 2 inch foam projectiles fired from an air gun, plastic balls, none of these things fazed this bird. She would just stare at you and continue preening herself. Finally 2 of us converged on the bird while on a storage shelf and when we were only 1 ft away it finally flew out the door. Hopefully no more livestock in the lab.

Sorry Mike, no NH pheasant for you this Thanksgiving..

Hugs, Kim

Sorry Laura, but I don't know anything about Bamberg. Odds are that it is closed too, as the American presence over here becomes less and less.
When we touched down in Frankurt on 10/16/05 I wanted to shoot some pictures of the C5A Galaxy and C17 Globemaster aircraft, which usually were always parked there. To my surprise everything was deserted as while we were in the US everything was moved to Ramstein. There's several reasons for it, the two most important ones: Ramstein can more easily be secured against terrorist attacks, and we need the space at Frankfurt for civilian traffic.
That patient was surely surprised about your German. Anja also sometimes has patients which don't speak German, but English.
