Glad to hear that everything is well Marianne. I'm jealous of the cruisers too. Also nice to hear that all is well with Sharon.

Still at work. It's nice and sunny here although still a bit cool. Don't know if the dome will be open or closed tonight but we will get to see the new turf and jumbotron.

Why do Friday afternoons seem to go so slowly???

Fiona

Taking a break from packing
Main luggage is packed, photographic equipment is packed. After the break our carry-on will be next and then we're done. So tomorrow we just have to do our check-list.
And then I have to program our VCR: 'Desperate Housewives' will start next week in Germany, fortunately a free DVD with the first episode was in a magazine we subscribe to, but the second episode we'll have to tape. And then there are two German series we have to record. And not to forget: The O.C. which is our favourite show right now.

Jeanne & John,
enjoy the show and the Big Apple.

Fiona & Jim,
have fun at the Baseball Stadium.

marianne: good to hear from you again.....I'm still not used to your new screen name. Saw your message and i'm thinking who the @#$% is that?! I'm glad Sharon and her gang are doing well. She hasn't posted in ages.
Getting ready to leave for NY. We're staying at the Hotel Pennsylvania which is the old Statler Hilton where my dad used to work. Arlene, I checked out both those websites and Carmines looks like fun. It must be fairly new since I had never heard of it before. I also like Virgil's, but nobody else is a big BBQ fan so that wouldn't go over well.
We got tickets for Altar Boys on Sunday. I'm wondering if the humor will still go over well considering the recent death of the Pope. Oh well....
Talk to everyone soon.
Don't worry about it, Jeanne. I'm not used to it yet, myself. :rotfl2:

yep, Maryanne Imed me at my sister's house and I was like, ..who is this? :teeth:
Eric and Anja, have a fun and safe trip.
Really wish we were cruising this year. :sad1:

I am finally feeling better. I was SO tired this week I could barely make it to work, then home and right into bed.
A big thanks to all who sent well wishes, prayers, cards, and surprises. :goodvibes

SOOOO good to have my sis home! She may get a job at the place I work on weekends. We'll see. :3dglasses

Finally finished with the financing part of building our house. :cool1: Hope to see them break ground soon.

Later, Avé

OK, we're finished packing  It's past midnight and we're going to bed now :wave2:
Will check the boards again between breakfast and going to the gym.
Have a nice evening everyone

Have a great trip Eric and Anja! :cheer2:

Tracy and Bill

Eric and Anja,
Have a safe, wonderful, relaxing, enjoyable, exciting trip! Take lots of photos and be sure to post them when you get back!

Eric and Anja have a safe trip and great holiday. Kathy and I received our new cpap machines today. They are both remstars made by Respironics which is a German company. The US part of the company is in Murrayville, PA. Mike

Mike,
I hope the German cpap machine won't turn your 'th' into 'z' :rotfl2:
But on the other hand: This machine is intended to let you get some Zs, isn't it? :rotfl:

To everyone:
Thanks for all your good wishes for a safe and happy trip :wave2:
Perhaps we'll be able to access the Internet from time to time to check the thread - We'll see.
We just returned from the gym, Anja did a bit over 6 miles in 50 minutes and I managed to do 7 miles in the same time - Now we should be able to sleep on the plane. But as I'm used to sleep in a prone position this is always a problem for me. Perhaps I'll take some red wine for dinner :drinking1 :teeth:

Please advise new cruisers that there won't be an update before 04/23.

Talking about the weather: Temps in Frankfurt have to dropped to 7°C/45°F at 2pm :cold: so it is the right time to go to Bangkok where it has 33°C/91°F :cool1: :sunny:

See Y'all in two weeks
The Germs

Marianne, good to hear from you again. Hope that everyone is having a good weekend. It was beautiful here today, but the pollen is playing heck with everyone's allergies.

Waiting for the maple trees to drop their helicopter seeds before we take the cover off of the pool. The two best days of your life are when you buy your pool, and the day you get rid of it if it is above ground. :cool1:

Mike

The weather here has been great for the last few days. Today was in the mid 70's, so we detailed our Chevy Avalanche. Next weekend we are heading to Bowling Green, KY for what they are calling The BlueGrass Nationals. It's a meeting of the Avalanche Fan Club. Should be about 100 trucks. This will be the largest get together we have ever been to. Should be fun with lots of GREAT prizes! I just hope the weather is nice!

Hello everyone! It's been awhile since I've been able to post...hope all is well with everyone.

I have a couple of questions for all of you.

How many of you are planning on flying into FL a day or two before the cruise leaves? Where are you planning on staying...near port or near the airport and which hotel will you stay in? We will fly into FL on Friday but have not decided where to stay yet.

Beautiful day here today...about 74F and very little wind. We're having some family over to grill out burgers and brats (hey, it is Wisconsin!).

Tracey
