10/12/08-4 night Wonder anniversary cruise

Hi Ren, We have done Atlantis. It was very nice. We booked thru RCCL. We did the water taxi over. They gave you some history of the island. Some if not alot just do there own thing and go over. I think it costs around 20 - 25 bucks to get in now. We also had a tour guide when we got there. Remember though that was about 3 years ago. But just a lil' info from my end. Both have ad's & Dis ad's. We are going to do it again this time for our lil boy and parents. I suggest going to Senior Frogs. they have a great dock to hang out and chill over the water with a great view of the ships.

BTW all the grand's are now going. We have a total now of 12.

GREAT! My Sister-in-law found this board. LOL

GO STEELERS!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Steelernut, thanks for the info on Atlantis I was wondering the same thing, should we go or not.
BTW what is Senior Frogs?

I see your Steelers beet up on the Seahawks, nice game!!

okay Steelernut you forget I am a cruise newbie so I need some definitions here:

RCCL??

ad's??

Dis Ad's??

Steelers winning???? :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Congrats on the win.. it's been a great sports weekend in my house as well. WVU destroys Syracuse, Redskins owned the Lions, Red Sox's WIN!!! If only the Yankee's choke tonite all will be right with the world, at least my world.

Hi Renysmom, I'm with you, it was almost a great perfect weekend for sports the Red Sox won the Pats won the Boston Bruins won but the Yankees had to be the spoilers of my weekend maybe the Indains can put the Yanks away tonight......lets hope :woohoo:

Hi Ren, Sorry I forgot you were a newbie.:) Zulaya helped you out though. I forgot to comment on the straw market. I agree with Zulaya that it is a big hassle. They all but grab and take you to their shop or stand. The original straw market burnt down a few years ago. Now it is alot tighter quarters in there. No where to run or hide now. On a previous cruise they told us if you don't want to buy anything, don't under any circumstances make eye contact or you are done for. ENTER @ YOUR OWN RISK!!!:scared1: There are alot more shops to go to if you want something.
Watch out for the hair braiding ladies also.

I din't notice beofre I posted that we turned a new page.

Senior Frogs is a bar and grill type place during the day, and a night club at night. Alot of party people, but it's not bad during the day. It has a great view of the bay , & the ships.

Did anyone notice that ONE YEAR FROM TONITE we will lay our heads on pillows and awake to the boarding call of the WONDER :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

I have to hold off packing for a little longer because I need my luggage for my WDW trip in 49 days..:cool1: :cool1: Yippee we are under the 50 day mark!!

Next week at this time I will be getting ready to head to F & W for the day...
:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I'm glad you brought up the subject of parking. My wife and I will be driving to Port Canaveral and then back to WDW after the cruise. Is there any Disney provided parking at the port? is there a fee? and do you think it is safe? Thanks in advance for any help.

One year from today!

Michelle -

Thanks for the reminder about the Radisson, I just went in and made my and John's reservation as well. We've decided not to do the land portion of the cruise as there are some other things we never do when we are in Orlando and we thought we should take the opportunity to do those things so we will be arriving in Orlando on Friday and sail on Sunday.

Thanks again for the reminder.

Hey everybody, just checking in to do the one year dance!!!!!

Since your the Radisson expert I have a few questions.

When you take the shuttle do you bring your luggage with you or do they do an early pickup and take it to the ship?

Is the parking lot there secure?

How far out can you call to make your shuttle reservation?

Can you see the Wonder from anywhere at the Radisson? (gotta take pictures after all LOL)

Thanks

Hello,
Not sure how soon you can reserve the shuttle?:confused3 I will check on that? You can see the ships from the top floor, but just the top of the ships.

They do take you and your luggage all at the same time and drop us at the curb and someone from DCL will check your luggage. They manage too fit us all on..The shuttle runs all through out the day.:thumbsup2

The Radisson seems very secure and I think a lot of people take advantage of the cruise parking. Then after the cruise they pick you up and take you back to the hotel.:goodvibes

I love the Radisson. The pool area is so nice and the restaurant is very good.
It is just so convenient. We stayed at Comfort inn suites and it just was not as easy?
