BTW, to keep you up to date on the new house - we are finally having a pre-drywall inspection tomorrow. We were told that it should only be 30 days from drywall to closing. From their lips to God's ears. I am SSSSOOOOO over this whole process. It kept me from a vacation with a bunch of great people.

Still thinking we may change our dates of cruising for 2004. Won't know for sure for a couple more months. In the meantime I'm lurking with Rosemary and popping in when I got something to say.

OMG! I finally got a milestone post ( 400 ) and I wasn't even trying. Yea for me.

Ave - Sorry to hear about you MIL. Hope she has a speedy
recovery. Its amazing what happens in the hospital
(apologies to all those in the medical field).

Nancy - the cruise to Mt Vernon sounds like fun. Again it'll be the
cruise before the cruise. At this time I can say that Andy
and I are interested in a DC meet no matter what we do.
Its just fun getting together with everyone...

Heres my good news...I just bought a 2004 Saturn Vue. I broke down and joined the book of the month club. Exciting but scary.

Arlene

ROSEMARY, Are You Out There? How are you doing? Please stop in and post once in a while.

Kathy ... Did you go for your echo yet? Any news? Thinking about you!

Windy ... That DC tour cruise sounds neat, more info if you have a minute away from your new house fiasco.

Mike ... got your info on the Blossoms, Thanks.

Arlene ... Congrats on your new Vue (Bad news is they come with the book of the month club).

Ave ... Bummer on what happened to your DMIL ... how she has a speedy recovery. Bet the staff will be extra nice to her now. That's my once scare about hospitals - especially if you have any alergic reactions to meds.

Kim & Bette ... Art said :smooth: that you are getting the $ back. I was looking over the Bernie pictures again last night and lauching my butt off. Think about this ... he got on the ship without paying and had the time of his "life" touring around the ship and his excursions off the ship!

Well gotta interrupt this Day Dream for work!

Cathy with @ C

Mary -- Your ideas of the horse-drawn carriage ride and dinner cruise in Charleston sounds absolutely marvelous! Also, for those of us who are DVC members, I know that there is at least one hotel in Charleston that we can rent on points. I have been thinking about doing that, anyway. The only time I have ever been in Charleston was on business, and I never got to see anything but the hospital where I was auditing (MUSC), my hotel and the airport. I am ready to go! We will be in WDW the first week of May, by the way.

Hi Everyone,

Sorry haven't posted in a while, but I was planning Haley's 1st Birthday party that was on Sunday. We had a blast. She got lots of presents and wore her cake, which I knew she would. I figured it was her day so she might as well do what she wanted.

Oh well, work is calling, gotta run.

Renee

Renee..can't wait to see Haleys' birthday pictures...

Fiona....where are you ? Isn't Jims' Dr. appointment today ??

To everyone else...HI !!...It's COOOLLLLDDDDDD

Bette

Ave,
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* to your MIL:wave2:

Mary,
in this case you have to do the Carriage & Cruise program twice next year :D
BTW, Anja and I have our vacation-planning-meetings with our colleagues 12/12/03 . This means we could finalize our plans then. We're trying our best to get four weeks in a row again, but we're not sure, wether we shall do 2-cruise-1 or 3-cruise. It all depends on the available flights and the price the airlines want for a "forked" flight Frankfurt-Charleston/Orlando-Frankfurt. It is possible that a simple return flight Frankfurt-Charleston is much cheaper. In this case we would prefer 2-cruise-1 and take a week for the return from the Port to Charleston, exploring St. Augustine and Savannah. But perhaps all this is futile and we only get three weeks.

Anja's on the sick-list right now: She hurt her left shoulder doing cable-crossovers last friday. One of her ward's doctors did an ultrasonic examination and found more liquid than usual in the shoulder. He suspects a partially torn sinew of the biceps :( Keep your fingers crossed, that it is only overstretched and not torn. Anja has an MRT-examination tomorrow afternoon which should give us certainty. Subsequently I moved my work-out time into the lunchbreak to be home earlier. Our gym has a branch about a mile from my office, which allows me to get there, run 5-6 miles, shower and get back to the office in about 90 minutes - It also saves a lot of calories as it doesn't leave me with time to eat :earseek:

And finally a prettier topic:
HAPPY 75th BIRTHDAY, MICKEY MOUSE
ALLES GUTE ZUM 75. GEBURTSTAG, MICKY MAUS :yo-yo: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Bette & Kim,
did you find the List in your hotmail-account? Pleasse let me know!!

I'm here just been busy at work. Jim's appointment is this afternoon so I'll find out what happened when he picks me up afterwards. Hopefully the appointment will be productive and not another -- it's just stress, we could give you medication but we aren't going to type of thing.

Bette and Kim -- glad that Disney finally came through the way they should have right off the bat.

The weather here is not great. It's been raining off and on for about a week and the temperature is getting colder. Actually had snow on the ground for a little while last week.

Back to work. Everytime I think I'm almost caught up other stuff comes up. Looks like it will be busy til the end of the year and then January will be dead.

Must get back to work.

Love ya. Mean it.

Fiona

:Pinkbounc Happy Birthday to You, Happy Birthday to You, Happy Birthday Dear Mickey Mouse! :Pinkbounc

Anja ... :earseek: Hurt your shoulder, OMG bummer ... hope it gets better soon so you can keep Eric in line ;).

Fiona - From your post I think you read the Trip Report from Delswife? I can't stop laughing when I read it. She sure is a realllllllllly good writer. Tell Jim we wish him our best.

Back to work ........................

Hi! Finally making it to the board!

Don called a bit ago and he made it safely into Leon, Mexico with a meeting in Guanajuato tomorrow. Back sometime Thursday evening.

Anja-- Hope your shoulder heals quickly.

Renee-- Can't wait to see Haley's birthday pics! What a cutie she is and I bet you guys all had a blast at her party. Happy Birthday, Haley!

Fiona-- Keep us posted on Jim's appt. this afternoon.

Bette & Kim-- Glad Disney finally came through for you with the reimbursement of difference in categories. Seems only fair.

It's pretty warm here today, in the 60's, but cloudy and we're expecting rain. Oh, well, could be that dreaded 's' word.

Avé-- Sorry to hear about your MIL. That's quite scary.

Eric-- We got the lists. Glad to see you and Anja will be cruising with us and thanks for taking on the task of the list again.

One last thing--- Today is prematurity awareness day. If you would like to click on the little hospital wristband at www.marchofdimes.com ,that would be great! Having had a premature baby 25 years ago, I know firsthand what a tough situation that is to be in.

Happy Birthday, Mickey Mouse!

Take care,
Colleen

Colleen - Your link is not working. :(

Hi back to Peter and to everyone else. Hope y'all are doing well and that Ave's DMIL and Anja get better soon. (Also Kathy and Jim, hoping for good news!)

You guys, I am popping in here less and less. So, if any kind of meet is planned, please make sure you let me know via email (that is, of course, if Rich and I are welcomed  ).

Speaking of meets - Cathy, we may be going up your way Christmas weekend. Not an easy time to get together and not confirmed at all yet but the possibility is there. I'll let you know more by email if it becomes a definite and maybe we can get together for a short while if your schedule allows it.

Son has bronchitis. He never ever used to get sick at all. This has been the sickest year for him in all his 19 years!

Rich and I are well. We were up in Boston 11/8-9 to visit niece at college and had a great visit. Never been to Massachusetts before. Hope to get back up there again when the weather turns warm again, sometime next Spring.

Missing all my cruising buddies. The Cruisetoberfest picture is on our 'fridge and I smile everytime I look at it. One question, however, who is the gentleman in the back on the left located between Doug and Rodney? Is he a Cruisetoberfester I never met or just someone who decided to join the photo shoot?

Anyone hear from Dan? And I still waiting to hear how Bernie's pictures turned out and if he returned home to his family.

Rosemary-- glad to see you popping in to visit us! Thanks for the heads up on the missing link. :) When I put a comma in for punctuation, it ended up in the url. It seems to be working now. Hope DS is feeling better soon. Haven't heard from Dan. I don't recognise the person in the photo either. Must be someone we didn't get to meet either or maybe we trapped the poor guy on the stairs. :teeth:

Colleen

Hi Guys, Kim here, I guess I have nothing else to do (yeah right, this is just better than dusting my bedroom) so here is a fun thing. We all tend to forget faces and or names so here is a link to the Disers photo taken on the ship. I have one photo with your faces covered with green circles and a number, and the second photo just as it was taken. Take a peek (you can make the photos full size for easier viewing by 1st double clicking on
the photo and then clicking near the bottom right on the screen and you can choose full size photo ) and then you can post what # you are and then we all have a refresher for putting names & faces together.

Hopefully this link works !!!

Bye, Kim

Thanks for all the well wishes for my DMIL. She was SO much better today! Arlene, hospitals are scarey places. And folks in the medical field know this better then most.
Anja, I hope you're feeling better.
Jim and Cathy, hope everything is OK.
Mary, you should get a second job as a tour guide in Charleston! :sunny: I agree, it is a beautiful city!

Mail to read, bills to pay.:(

Later, Ave'

:wave2: Rosemary and Windy!!

Kim-- I am #20 in the group pic. Neat idea.

Avé-- Glad to hear your DMIL is doing better today.

One of my cousins is in a hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. She had a 10 hour surgery for a brain aneurism (sp) 3 weeks ago and was finally able to be moved to a regular room from ICU today. The email from her husband today sounded really optimistic compared to the heartwrenching ones the past couple of weeks.

Better get to bed. Sure seems weird here with Don gone. Hopefully, the dog will quit looking for him and settle down soon.

Colleen

I am #10 and Kathy is # 12 in group photo. Mike

Great idea, Kim!!!!!

I'm #25 and Anja's #26
