Unfortunately it's not October yet but it is getting closer. :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Nancy - Hopefully you will get to the airport alright. Have to admit I'm just thankful that hockey season is over. Not much of a fan I have to admit.

Summer has it today -- it's supposed to go up 32C which is close to 90F. Definitely a/c weather.

Renee -- very cute picture of Haley -- boy has she grown.

Must get back to work. With any luck they won't turn off the air today to work some more on the duct work.

Fiona

Just spoke with Mike and he seems to be doing OK ... His dad had some problems for a while but I guess you are never ever ready to let go. The consolation is that both his Mom and Dad are now back together in a better place and can look down on him.

Hope everyone is doing well and those ailing are on the mend.

Sun is out today and it brings a real lift to one's spirits.

Actually started to work on getting our pool ready ... bring on the sun and fun!

Funny story ... I got a Mickey Mouse statue at Walmart a few weeks ago and was so proud of it ... it's Mickey stooping over, holding a shovel and handing a acorn to a small squirrel. Well Sunday morning when Art was taking AshLee for a ride to get the newspaper ... there was this REAL squirrel hiding by the statue trying to get some of the REAL nuts from our front tree. You guessed it, AshLee "1" Mikey Mouse's arm "0". Snapped that sucker right off. Art's excuse for AshLee was that "Mickey shouldn't have been hiding a fugitive!" Thank God for super glue.
Guess you could say that AshLee is back to feeling better after her bout with pancreatitis!

Back to work ...................

Boston Pétér...what is the answer "NO" to????? Inquiring minds want to know????

You forgot to mention that you are leaving Thursday for WDW....so I will mention it!!

Pete & Jenn ... Do you guys ever unpack? Or do you just do the laundry and put the stuff back in the suitcase?

BTW ... Did I hear you are going again.....hehehe

Bette and Kim...didn't Boston Pétér mention to you...they are going to WDW on Thursday...it must have slipped his mind. Too bad you didn't have the crown to take with you, Pétér!!

For everyone else that doesn't know...BOSTON Pétér and Jen are going to Florida on Thursday...said something about Flying Fish...must be a new airline or something...you know how those MA people are!!!

What I look like when I have to wait till October to cruise .....

We are staying cool as so far the a/c is working although the weatherman says we may not need it for the weekend. Went to the baseball game last night (Jays won!!) wearing shorts for the first time this year which was really nice.

Haley is getting so big it's amazing how fast they grow.

Must go and get ready for work.

Fiona

We went to our favorite Mexican Rest. last night and a local radio station was having a promotion, and broadcasting from the resturant. The disc jockey said there was a free gift for the 1st person to ask for it and since we were 12 feet away from him, I asked for the gift. WELL...the gift was a DVD of the last concert tour of Cat Stevens. Not only was I a HUGH Cat Stevens fan (still am) but I went to see Cat Stevens on this same tour!Talk about a TIME WARP!The songs, stage set up, special effects, were all the same. Watching it brought back wonderful memories:teeth:

Time to get to work!

Hello! Just wanted to stop in briefly, say happy summer and let everyone know we haven't dropped out after everyone was so welcoming:sunny: Just work going haywire and me being carried along with it! Joining the ranks of Harry Potter fans this afternoon with DH - IF I can hear the movie - saw RUSH's 30th anniv. tour last night and our ears are still ringing:rockband: Feel exactly like that chicken and can't wait to see what my countdown says - Take care:flower:

I just saw this on another thread from
dvcreg so I thought I'd post it here.

Thanks for posting this Renee. I'm definitely not doing the golf tour thing. Not a fan of the game at all. The talk has already started for this year's firm golf afternoon. I'm debating what illness to come down with for the day. Last year we had teams and played best ball -- this was ok til they announced that the winning team would get a free lunch. My teammate made an assumption that I could play and was sorely disappointed when my tee balls went no further than 6 feet. It was a long, long afternoon. Could fully appreciate Jessica Simpson's reaction to the sport when they showed her and Nick playing on their tv show (which I don't watch but did catch this tidbit).

Enough ranting about golf and my apologies to all those who love the sport.

Back to work since my desk is now piled with stuff to do. Is it Friday yet???

Fiona

Fiona,

I feel the same way about golf. I just can't get into it. It makes me fall asleep!
