Wow, I just checked the rate for the 14 day eastbound cruise with the cat. 6 room like I already booked at 2pm today and it is now $6,247.67:eek: I can't believe it went up that much in price in only 5 hours. I'm glad that I booked when I did. Guess it's supply and demand.

Peter - I am also waiting for Dreams to get back to me so I can see what I can get from them. Once I hear, then I will either book through them or transfer this ressie to them.

OMG I am so mad at you guys!!

Scott and I booked the east bound panama repositioning cruise-I come here to see who else is doing it and you guys are doing the westbound! What's up with that?

Wish I was rich enough to cruise on the repo cruise. Mike

I'm sorry Sharon,
but I don't know anything about the shopping possibilities at St T, but there should also be a kind of briefing on the ship. Although DCL usually promotes mainly shops they have contracts with it should be helpful.
And perhaps you should post that question on the regular cruise boards as an extra thread - You'll probably get more info that way.

Will do Viking, thanks for the tip

Ciadriamom...check your emails...I sent you one earlier today. [/B]

Just checked my aol account and don't see any e-mails. Try sending it again, btw, check your pm box I'll give you my work e-mail too.

I am with you on the shopping. I went to www.dcltribute.com and printed off the "Shopping In Paradise" guides Dave has posted there; those come with the navagator for each port. I tried to look up websites for some of the retailers listed, but most do not allow shopping online, they were just informational sites...so no luck on prices. Many many years ago, we went to St Thomas and my mom will still talk about the great jewelry deals they have. I will be convincing Tim that I need a diamond right hand ring, and I am sure he will be trying to convince me that he needs a Breitling watch....sometimes we like to forget we are "civil servants" for a living and spend money like rock stars!

But check out Dave's site, see if the port guide offers any help...btw, there isn't one for Antigua....

Thanks two-foxes -- will do, Will let you know of any good deals. I going to put the post on the regular forum as well per Viking's advice

Ave, couldn't help myself, started playing around on board (to avoid getting final english paper done) and found Timon. He is definetly more me than Ariel. Love the sarcasam.

Also, the person from Lakewood, NJ? I grew up in Middletown. Was there for 25 years till my hubby moved me out here.

I can't wait to get the list from Eric--looking forward to "getting to know" you all.

Marianne [/B]

Marianne, I'm the person from Lakewood, Ciadriamom, Ciara's mom, and just plain old Sharon.[

Middletown has certainly had its fair share of media coverage lately. How did you wind out way out there???/COLOR]

Well, unless Tim changes his mind by Monday, we'll be with you on the August repo. We are plainly getting ripped off, imho, but we really do want to go! Cat 7 GTY for $5800 and some change. I am hoping for a nice upgrade...the DCL rep said she'd bet on it! Since I was at work in meetings all morning (to pay for this:earseek: ) it looks like I missed the best prices....didn't get a quote until 4:15 mountain time. So unless DU pulls through or my AAA agent (who was out of the office ALL DAY:mad: ) pulls through with the "inventory fax" she sent out last week, we'll book it for sure, and plan for it. I am betting going on our back to backs this year will let us know if 14 days of cruising is for us or not!

Zapp1213, you waited 2 days! :jester:
piglett, hygiene, and bettemom, Congrats on your next cruise. I'm sure it will be a blast.
Viking, isn't that list ready YET? That's the problem with you Germans, procrastinaters, and unorganized. (your loving sister, Ave')

:jester: :jester: :jester: :jester: :jester:

I just don't know, which of my sisters I love more: The squirrel-eater or the impatient, nagging one :teeth:

Making jokes about other nationalities, huh? What about this one:

What's hell? Hell is a restaurant where the food is English, the beer American and the waiters German!! :jester:

two-foxes - that sounds great that you might be joining us!:Pinkbounc I just got my quote from Dreams and it's $6247.67 for the same category except at the end of the ship. I'm glad that I made my own ressie and didn't wait for the quote from them since I got a way better deal.

Hi Sharon,

Can you post your childrens names & ages so I can add them to the group list for the St. Thomas Tour.

Thanks, Kim

two-foxes - I just read another thread that said you can save 10% on the cruise if you use Costco travel. I'm checking to see if I can transfer the reservation from DCL to them and still get the 10% off or if it has to be made originally with them. If I can save the 10%, then I will transfer to them since $522 is more of a savings than the $200 rebate from Dreams.

If you're a member this will help cut your costs for the cruise. If not, it may pay to spend the $40 or so to join and save all that money. You might want to check it out.

Hey Kim,
what do you think my List is for? ;)

I just transferred my ressie for the 14 day from DCL to Costco and saved $422. That brings my total down to $4805.67.:cheer2:

Yippee, that makes me so happy.

Ok I'm jealous of the people that get to do the transitional cruises. It would be so neat. Thought about it yesterday but realized that there's no way I'd be able to get that much time off work. I'm pushing it to get 2 weeks in October. If I did the transitional I'd want at least 3 weeks to visit both DL and WDW and the cruise. Darn work -- how come I didn't win the lottery????

Anyway for everyone that's going have a great time. Renee you got a great deal!!

We will be going to MNSSHP on the 12th though and the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot as well.

Back to work to pay for everything.

Fiona

Congratulations, Fiona
Your team reached the semi-finals of the Hockey World Championships. Ours got knocked out in the quarter-finals :(

No repo-cruise for us either. As you know we wouldn't have problems getting two, three or four weeks off, we prefer to explore the States or Canada within the next years on wheels.
