Hello, there! I hope everyone is having a good week so far...

I contacted Chantal, the rep from Adventure Antigua Eco Tour and she requests that anyone who would like to book to please contact her directly. All you need to do is specify that you are with the Cruisetoberfest (hope I spelled that right!) group for Oct 5.

Here is the link for online reservations...

http://www.adventureantigua.com/book.htm

Don't forget, you get a 10% discount for booking online, and the deposit due at the time of booking is $20. She didn't give a deadline for booking, however all tours are limited to 25 people, so the sooner the better! It sounds like an amazing time!

Feel free to either PM me or email me at jillfox@comcast.net if you have any questions or want clarification on anything!

Is it October yet???!?!?!

Cathy,
perhaps they have the same rate as Anja and I, then it is very affordable :jester:

Jill,
I paid the deposit on Saturday and Chantal sent me a confirmation on Monday. We'd like to thank you for setting this up ::yes::

Thanks for all of you that responded to the Lunch @ Parrot Cay Idea. We are already at 20 people! But I do need to clarifiy something. On Erics Activities List he listed the lunch as Palo Brunch. This lunch will not be at Palo. If someone else wants to do a group lunch at Palo, go for it. Or book it on your own. It's very good. But we were NOT happy with the way we were treated last year. And I don't want to repeat the experience.:( I just assume keep my $10 (now that I have to buy someone a LI ice tea and Irish coffee) and eat with in a dinning room where I don't feel they are doing us a favor to seat us. Nuff said.:duck:
Later, Ave'

Jim and I are up for the brunch. We probably aren't going to do Palo at all this cruise. Dinner was so-so and the brunch was just too darn hot in the separate room so it really wasn't that pleasant.

Work is busy which is good and bad. Good because time flies, bad because I can't web surf!!

Back to work so I can leave sometime soon. At least the telephone has stopped ringing.

Fiona

What sides would you recommend with the squirrel

Collards and cornbread. :)

Unless it is done properly, squirrel can be a bit greasy and stringy. Always reminded me of a cross between skunk and beaver... Now both of them are some mighty fine eating, especially beaver tail.

Now I'm hungry... have to go out and see if there is anything fresh on the street.

Jim.

YUMMMMMM! Road Kill!

Picked up my cap and gown tonight for graduation on the 18th. WHOOO HOOO 38 years old and graduating from college. Better late than never I guess.

I've spend the last two nights reading all the prior posts, I feel like I know you guys.

Hi Sharon,

If you go to this web site www.godfreytoursvi.com
you can see the agency that we hope to book with ( if we get 20 people). We will customize the tour to see the parts of the island that the majority are interested in seeing. We will end the day with shopping , however we can add a couple earlier returns to the ship if someone wants to take a break. I think that your girls would have a nice time also. All the people who have already signed up are all great people. Mary Jo has a daughter 13 coming on the tour... If you have any other ??? just ask.

Bye, Kim

Sharon...BIG CONGRATS:thewave: on your upcoming graduation!
Glad your getting to know us!!!

AVE...WHAT THE HECK IS THAT!!??

Eric..there is a national commercial here put out by the American Beef Producers. The "catch phrase" is: BEEF...it's whats for dinner.
I think this is the insperation behind the Squirrel bumper sticker.:duck:

Ave, please sign my family up for lunch! Thanks for doing this!
I don't think we will do Palo either. The whole thing last year left me with a bad feeling about Palo.

Two-foxes....how did you make your deposit on the Eco tour? Credit card?

jeanneg....we have a pretty well known part of our hospital called the "Storm Eye Institute", with some of the best eye docs/surgeons around. Some really amazing stuff is being done in this field in the last 10 years!I hope a cure for MD comes soon!

It's so nice to have DH and DS back! DD and I enjoyed our time together, but since DH is my best friend and DS is her best friend...we were very glad when they came home:grouphug:

Rellingtwin-
Yep, credit card for the deposit. The remainder is to be paid cash or travellers checks on the tour date.

I love the roadkill jokes :hyper: Anja may have a different point of view ;)

I change the Palo Brunch into Parrot Cay - I just assumed that it takes place in Palo.
Talking about Palo: We won't go there. We did it once and weren't that excited

I just wanted to let all my Cruisetoberfest II friends know that I'm off to the hospital to have baby Madison in a few minutes. I woke up this morning, excited, but a little bit apprehensive. I haven't really had the time to think about the fact that we're going to be bringing another baby home soon. But, I'm sure that will all turn to complete joy when I see her face.

Take care, have a great weekend, and I'll post back on the boards when we have some details and pictures.

Amy

Was actually thinking about you this week Amy (and Chris and Emily)! Glad that you posted. Good luck.

I'm getting very frustrated....everyday I try to post or whatever and I have to register and get a new password. Anybody else having these problems?????

Amy and Chris - congratulations and lots of luck....

Andy and I would like to join the Parrot Cay lunch also.....

I desperately need to get to work. One of my coworkers is on vacation for almost 3 weeks and guess who gets to do her work along with my own...I walked out of work yesterday with a big stress knot in the back of my neck and I can almost guess that it wont leave until she gets back. The only saving grace is that she is a big mouth and talks constantly and loudly so its almost a relief not to hear her voice...I need a good strong handsome man to stand behind me and give me neck rubs and massages...wheres Ethan from Survivor when you need him. If he was here I'd have a constant smile on my face all day long...

Arlene

Sending you a  Arlene. It's close to the end of the month so we are busy at work. My secretary gets very stressed so I have to stay calm -- luckily she hasn't yet realized that I'm away the end of September.

Back to work.

Fiona

Oh no troubles with signing in although Jim seems to have a lot of problems which is why he doesn't post much.

Fiona

Amy & Chris (and Emily too) ..................... :Pinkbounc cause it's a girl and also cause she's sure to be a :cutie:, wish we were there for a :grouphug: on the baby's :bday: (How'd I do!)

Were your ears burning the other day ... was thinking about Emily and the "here fishy, fishy" when we swam with the stingrays.

Best of Luck.
